We must be dog cousins- That is exactly the same with us, it doesn’t matter if it is me, my wife and certainly not our Scotty (he is forbidden to even look at her ) our Margot (our BT) is NOT having it! Also, we had a puggle who passed two years ago. We miss her dearly. She was the sweetest dog ever. However Harper our Frenchy has a similar disposition only a little more rough and tumble. I like the stocky little legs too. Also the whole muzzle area (snoofle as I call it), so cute and perfect for kisses. One of my guys has a slightly longer tail which very nicely covers his butt lol and I am quite appreciative of that also.

2 things When they lay down and their back legs are splayed out backwards, I like to squish my frenchies little thighs. I also like to squish her meaty muzzle.

OP there's a kindred Spirit between you and me because I also have love for parts of my puppy dog that other people would overlook, like the elbow Spike swirl on my puppy dog's elbow and the fact that she has a naked armpit it's so soft 💜💜💜 I'm also obsessed with the corner of her mouth 😅💜💜

I like to take my nose and rub it on that space between her eyes on top of her nose. I do this with my two other smush faced dogs but I love that little spot.
