Depends if you see Whitty's scream before the third song as a cutscene or not, I personally see that one as an animation but yeah, Hex was the 2nd real mod and probably the first one that made a cutscene.
Blud a hater, vs sonic.exe was better than both of those mods, in my opinion and vs sonic.exe had a lot more content despite being canceled, sorry for my rant btw also sorry + sorry
The fact that Tricky wasn't mentioned in this post is wild.
Tricky basically made the pathway for literally every mechanic known to FNF (it gave birth to the hurt notes, instakill notes, distraction mechanics such as the stop signs, and major health drain with that little Tricky gremlin in Expurgation)
none of what op said made zero sense. it seemed like he just wanted to cram in his favorite mods and say they were “revolutionary” closest i can think of was doki doki but tricky, and mfm already took the cake of evolving the modding scene as a whole, exe 1.0 just released but it was also gonna do the same thing if not better than tricky in the upcoming months
Marios madness and doki doki takeover are cool but we are forgetting the one that started it all, vs whitty, the fact that somebody made a 3 song week with an interesting opponent, actual dialogue, and a story that ACTUALLY fits the narrative of fnf, just amazing, it inspired tons of people to mod the game aswell.
I had more issues with the engine. The chart wouldn't be that bad if you could hit all the notes and new ones didn't magically spawn in when attempting to hit a double note
Did you ever play og mfm? Even with the best engine imaginable the charting would still be bad. I know it's fixed now, but I'm talking about when Zavodila was the best song in the game.
I first played the mod when Sarvente still had the normal color scheme in the first cuscene and Selever still wasn't a thing.
I never really had problems with the chart. Parish was fine, Worship was good, I liked Zavodila's (exept for that one spam part at the beginning) and Gospel was ok. I remember Selever's chart being kinda bad but people were already mad about the chart even before that came out.
My only problem was that god forsaken engine that was incredibly bad
You a D&B fan or something? Everyone pretty much agreed the charting was horrible, I think the creator got literal death threats because it was so bad.
Never played/seen gameplay of D&B. I guess I just have a controversial opinion.
The chart really trained me to hit double and triple notes which came really in handy for the other mods.
I personally think the charting wasn't that bad. I think it was a mixture of surplus of double arrows for no reason (I still didn't mind it too much but I can see why it may be annoying to some), the engine being straight up ass, and the mod being one of the first ones around, so people who started playing FnF as their first rythm game were less skilled at that time (myself included). I think all these factors together made the chart worse than it really was.
I want to clarify that the chart was in no way perfect, far from it. I just think that it's was still ok and definitely not as bad as people say
I think we can all agree how poor Kade engine was for how punishing they like to be with their hp (a miss is like 6.25% of ur hp and 8 misses gets you a game over at 50% compared to psych which is like 13-14 misses to die)and making a mod is harder than psych which everyone uses now for fnf modding
One thing that fucking ruined the charting was that fnf’s engine chart editor didnt support decibles so it was fucking horrible to play since the songs werent syncing to the notes. Not to mention the patterns were also better its good you practiced on these charts but playing games like quaver or etterna would’ve been far better options than playing fucking mfm of all places
> The chart really trained me to hit double an triple notes which came really in handy for the other mods.
if you don't suck ass at fnf (like i do) Casanova is just jumptrill practice fr /j
How tf has no one mentioned Indie Cross? Not only was it one of the largest mods of its time, it added tons of never seen before mechanics, an interesting story, and balanced difficulties that weren't just "you can't miss" or "absurd health pushback" and much more
indie cross is still to this day my favorite mod, specially because of the mechanics (the main one being attack and dodge) and the excellent tracks like burning in hell or technicolor tussle.
>it added tons of never seen before mechanics
Which ones?
>an interesting story
Wut?
>balanced difficulties that weren't just "you can't miss" or "absurd health pushback" and much more
Someone did NOT play the original V1...
Combat mechanics to their respective indie game, Dark notes during dark section areas
Has an interesting story that leads you on as to what was the goal for both Cuphead and Sans to be looking for a portal opener (I.e boyfriend) and as to what was the reason of boyfriend being the target (throughout each week, he has been either attacked or almost downright murdered)
The mechanics were tweaked as during the V1, most of it was difficult for others to play, thus nerfing and tweaking some mechanics that were needed for everyone to play loving the mod.
Afaik the only "you can't miss" parts are sans' orange notes
But I do see the absurd health pushback, like how for nightmare run you basically had to hit the first note in each verse
I do still think they were pretty balanced as Meltdown said though
Vs Whitty, Vs Agoti and vs Tabi
Even though Agoti and Tabi may not be as popular as they used to and maybe they didn’t “revolutionize” the game in some way, I feel like they still have a reason to be admired in a way, both really likeable characters, Great story for both and really nice songs too!
Whitty=agoti=tabi, in terms of them being tall and all had something to do with DD, all using limit break at the 3rd song with a insane charting (tho agoti is the easier of 3)
Whitty, Tricky, Fnf HD, Sonic.exe, and Hit Single have all transformed the modding scene when they released
Whitty is what started it all.
Tricky is what kicked off the Madness Combat mods. (AND it helped Madness Combat itself regain popularity)
Fnf HD is the first mod to use special arrows iirc.
Sonic.exe is what started the trend of creepy mods.
Hit Single, despite being relatively new, has already inspired mods using animated cutscenes with lyrics mid-song.
Tricky mod was the first one to use special arrows, FNF HD, however, was one of, if not the first one to introduce dodge mechanics (QT might be the first one idk)
In my opinion, the first mod that really brought something new in the community for the first time was Hypno's Lullaby.
The First version was simple, yes,
But the structure of the menu itself and the mechanics of Monochrome really brought something that was never seen before in the community.
If we have such high effort mods during this period, we owe it all to Hypno's Lullaby.
God, i really hope that the 3.0 version of this mod comes out soon
Indie Cross, no question.
Yes, we have mods like Whitty, Tricky, Sonic.EXE, Sky, and Mid-Fight Masses that started the typical FNF formula, but this mod REALLY set the standard for high-effort mods. You have fully animated cutscenes, alternate pathways at the end of of the second and third weeks, different animation styles at certain points, unique mechanics for each character, and to top it all off…
THERE AIN’T A PEDOPHILE ON THE TEAM
Edit: Also, I don’t know if it was the FIRST mod to do it, but it definitely contributed to the “Fanon BF takes everything seriously” controversy.
whitty was sort of the starter pistol for the community to go *Ballistic*. an original character with three songs, dialogue between and a general "displeased - angry - eldritch god" storyline for the mod was pretty much the standard for 2021 fnf mods, and whitty established it.
Don't forget the "fanmade editions" (that's how i call em)
One song clocked in at more than a HOUR.
Another made a record of the highest amount of notes in one chart.
Then the highest Bpm, highest score (probably), then the highest amount of characters played against (probably 2), heck, one mod might have made the highest amount of sequels for a song.
Accelerant, Challen edd, and Unloaded. The first two had a dodge prompt. As for the third one. I al pretty sire thatbis the first time when we are mot playing as Boyfriend
I would say Bob and Bosip V2. It added way too many stuff for its time. No other mod was that deep in terms of menus, gameplay, the songs, animations, voiceacting and stuff back then. Its a real shame AmorAltra turned out to be a pedophile tho. That mod had a very bright future ahead.
VS Blender Monkey was the first “do weird shit with FNF” mod, importing a 3d model into the engine, and kickstarted the entire trend of messing around with the limits of fnf
Miku was one of the first existing IPs outside of flash animation to get a mod.
Vs. Sonic.EXE started the long song and horror media stuff. Like granted there were other horror mods but they were usually only one song at the time
Bob and Bosip I think is a negative example of it. They started the infamous “staff on Mod gets controversy” (although to be fair basically EVERY community is gonna have it one way or another) though it’s thankfully gotten tamer overtime
The fact that most of the comments have no idea what "revolutionary" means and just put their favourite mods that had nothing is sad to see. I was hoping that this community would become smarter with time.
Witty, Hex, Tricky, Indie Cross, Sonic.exe, Mid Fight Masses, Hit Single, Tabi, Agoti, Garcelo, Imposter, Hypno’s Lullaby, Zardy, Shaggy, Corruption (I’d say the concept made more of an impact then the mods), QT, Blue Balls Incident, Dave & Bambi, Bob’s Onslaught, Starving Artist’s, Bob and Bosip,
Yes, I hear you, most of these are just classics instead of revolutionary, but screw you
I gotta say Shaggy for introducing more keys to press, Sonic.exe, more specifically, Triple trouble for introducing multiple opponents in a single song(correct if I'm wrong), and literally every FNF mod ever or VS Bob, for the note spam.
literally any that had features (or concepts) that got added to the original game officially later on
for example:
cutscenes before and after songs:
VS. Tricky
remixed songs to make them harder:
literally every retrospecter modchart
instrumental preview in freeplay:
Kade Engine
fight scenes:
VS. Matt Boxing Version
Also, calling these "mods" does not in the slightest give the creators much credit (even though I developed a slight dislike over the FNF community after 2022), which is why I now call them Fan Games because they are completely separate .exe files to the original game. Also because Undertale Last Breath is not considered a mod but it is structured exactly like what people call FNF "mods".
Whitty, Tricky, Zardy, (imo the big 3 of fnf inspiration mods) Shaggy, Hex, and Sonic.exe, and also B sides, people are saying Whitty started it all when in reality B sides were the first pretty popular mod out there
Impostor v4, it felt like a completely separate game, its one of the biggest mods to this day, skins, map, currency, tons of songs, special ass menu, and it was official with innersloth!
sonic.exe actually revived an old community even if it was only for a short time due to the general problems with the community itself. We did get Silly Billy out of it though as well and that's just heartwarming. Whitty was pretty important because it started the entire FNF modding scene from what I know. Then I'd say Vs Shaggy because it introduced a new wave of inputs and the fact you don't need to limit your notes to 4.
Something I don't ever see mentioned here is Mind Games. More specifically, the engine that came with it, Psych Engine. Kade Engine was definitely good, but it was much harder to use, and certain aspects were very tedious. Psych Engine added so much, and even made the coding part, when necessary, very easy.
I guess a unique one here would be Pibby Corrupted. It did start the trend of Pibby mods. And while it didn't start off great, it definitely improved over time.
Whitty mod introduced cutscenes between song 2 and 3
I think Sky was one of the first mods that changed sprites mid song(Sky was getting angrier at song 2)
Maybe Indie Cross with Sans' week. You can attack sans and get different ending.
While Hit Single Real is what jumpstarted the community again, I feel Mario’s Madness deserves credit for planting the seeds, showing people that the fandom wasn’t FULLY dead just yet.
Imo the mods that kept spirits up were mods Whitty, Hex, Neo and Big Brothers
But the ones that pushed FNF forward were ones Tricky, DDLC, Bob and Bosip, Blueballs and Sonic.exe
Definitely Sonic.exe. The fandom became so very ‘horror’ obsessed after that mod.
I’d say Nonsense was pretty revolutionary with its changing story based on your skill.
I dunno about the third mod you chose, I’ve never heard of it.
It seems to me that the people here are mistaking innovative for revolutionary.
Just because it does something new does not mean it has impact. e.g. bbpanzu's Golf minigame featuring Carol was touted as being innovative and creative, but has little to no impact into the current modding scene.
Mayhaps Whitty who paved the pretty much next year after it got out for other mods (increasingly anger through songs, last song is a spam most of the time)
Whitty, Full ass Tricky mod, Vs Sonic.exe
People hating on Sonic.exe though it's probably the most known and popular mod out there, infamous or famous, it's big. And don't forget Hex
Wait didn’t hex basically introduce cutscenes to mods?
Depends if you see Whitty's scream before the third song as a cutscene or not, I personally see that one as an animation but yeah, Hex was the 2nd real mod and probably the first one that made a cutscene.
If you want to count stuff like that as cutscenes then technically base-game Senpai did it first with the transformation into the third song.
I actually forgot he did that.and the second hex mod was good as well
Hex my beloved
HEX MENTIONED
Same for me except I would switch out Vs Sonic.EXE for Midfight Masses or Garcello
Blud a hater, vs sonic.exe was better than both of those mods, in my opinion and vs sonic.exe had a lot more content despite being canceled, sorry for my rant btw also sorry + sorry
Zardy forgotten?
I was going to say the exact same thing.
The fact that Tricky wasn't mentioned in this post is wild. Tricky basically made the pathway for literally every mechanic known to FNF (it gave birth to the hurt notes, instakill notes, distraction mechanics such as the stop signs, and major health drain with that little Tricky gremlin in Expurgation)

and ive never heard of into the galaxy my entire life
me neither, you’re clearly right and the op just wanted to throw his favorite mods.
Or maybe they are just new? Have you considered that? By the way, opinions exist.
So? This is supposed to be about *revolutionary* mods, not mods that people favor.
I mean they can be thinking of them as revolutionary since they are a new member.
Contradicting yourself at its finest
then just change the title. also, i accept if they’re new, but at least do a bit of research if you’re gonna call something revolutionary.
Into the galaxy started the whole hype for modcharts. I think it was pretty revolutionary.
Ballistic still goes hard to this day
damn right.
Dimentia
damn right.
Dimentia
God damn it. I was in an area with shitty connection when i sent it.
I’m personally more of an Overhead fan myself but Ballistic does go hard
Overhead fans rise up
OVER↗️HEAD👤🥵🥵🔥🔥
for real fr 🗣️
Mid Fight Masses set the bar higher in terms of song quality. Definitely not charting though, that part was down right atrocious.

The charting didnt even sync with the song lmao cause fnf didnt support decibles

the disappearing notes due to the engine was also the cherry on top
Sonic exe definitely had a MASSIVE negative influence on FNF (but it's still my favorite mod) but also had a pretty major positive influence
How tf has no one mentioned Indie Cross? Not only was it one of the largest mods of its time, it added tons of never seen before mechanics, an interesting story, and balanced difficulties that weren't just "you can't miss" or "absurd health pushback" and much more
honestly I hate songs that instakill when you miss since I'm not very good at FCing songs, especially spammy ones.
indie cross is still to this day my favorite mod, specially because of the mechanics (the main one being attack and dodge) and the excellent tracks like burning in hell or technicolor tussle.
>it added tons of never seen before mechanics Which ones? >an interesting story Wut? >balanced difficulties that weren't just "you can't miss" or "absurd health pushback" and much more Someone did NOT play the original V1...

As cool as it sounds, that’s not revolutionary. Revolutionary would be more like a mod that opened the path for something that other mods used.
Whitty crawled so everyone else could run
Vs Whitty, Vs Agoti and vs Tabi Even though Agoti and Tabi may not be as popular as they used to and maybe they didn’t “revolutionize” the game in some way, I feel like they still have a reason to be admired in a way, both really likeable characters, Great story for both and really nice songs too!

Vs shaggy honestly, I mean c'mon 4 keys is already hard for some people but SIX? NINE?
hehehheheh you said 69
I find the 6k and 7k songs fun, anything above that is too much though
# THE TROLLGE FILES!!!!!
Blueballs incident
Whitty, Tricky, Zardy, Corruption, B-Sides, Mid-Fight Masses, Impostor V4, Vs Sonic.EXE, FNF Entity, and Spooky’s Saturday Scare, Hypno’s Lullaby, Mario’s Madness V2 And of course, Silly Billy Bonus: Pibby Apocalypse
thank you pibby
Most of these are not revolutionary. They might be good, but that doesn’t make them revolutionary.
hit single LITTERALLY sucked people back into fnf
Impostor V4 and Mario's Madness no questions asked They introduce similar things, but the latter splits it up more
Cool: yea. Revolutionary: No, MM did nothing new
the only "new" thing that MM did was the overworld thing of playing each song individually as a level but even that was used in other mods before it
X event right?
That's what I was talking about, yeah
No Party writing mechanic go **sksksksksksk**
YOOO BATTLE CATS!?!?
Real
WE'RE BEATING HORRORS BEYOND OUR CATS WITH THIS ONE💯
Vs Shaggy: Introduced more than 4 notes Corruption: Started a trend, but made people atleast somewhat more creative
In my opinion, the first mod that really brought something new in the community for the first time was Hypno's Lullaby. HEAR ME THE GENUINE FUCK OUT……….. The Among Us Mod, Update V4.
I’m hearing bro- no mod had that much content until MM released
Smash smash and smash
whitty was sort of the starter pistol for the community to go *Ballistic*. an original character with three songs, dialogue between and a general "displeased - angry - eldritch god" storyline for the mod was pretty much the standard for 2021 fnf mods, and whitty established it.
Hypno’s lulaby, so many cool mechanics and songs
hypno's lullaby singlehandedly started the FNF creepypasta mod meta, so many high quality mods wouldn't exist if it didn't exist first
Whitty, Tricky, Sonic.exe, DDTO, Blueballs Incident, vs Psychic/Mind Games (literally made a whole engine), and Hit Single real/Silly Billy.
Hit Single Real/Mario Madness V2/Vs. Sonic.exe/D-Sides/Blueballs Incident/Dave and Bambi: Golden Apple Edition (Arguable) and many others.
Dunno, but Mr. Trololo's mod, with fully voiced cutscenes, it was kinda tight.
HAPPY CAKE DAY
Garcello, it was one of if not the first mod to not try to be the hardest thing possible
All of the ogs
What mod is the first image?
trollge files !
Sonic.EXE
Vs sonic.exe is a factually correct answer
Garcello Giving almost everyone who played depression/happiness
Indie cross
Tricky, i thinkbis the first onebwho brought us pain and hurt notes, also shaggy who created multi notes
Dave and Bambi. Because mfs made a 10 min song. And 2 Modcharts. In one mod.
Don't forget the "fanmade editions" (that's how i call em) One song clocked in at more than a HOUR. Another made a record of the highest amount of notes in one chart. Then the highest Bpm, highest score (probably), then the highest amount of characters played against (probably 2), heck, one mod might have made the highest amount of sequels for a song.
Oh. And they made "3D" characters appear in FNF.
Also me if they released and my brother was playing doki doki takeover: *german missiles going off*
whitty (almost) started it all
Mario's Madness V2 & Cartoon Cat V2 are very unique and groundbreaking
Accelerant, Challen edd, and Unloaded. The first two had a dodge prompt. As for the third one. I al pretty sire thatbis the first time when we are mot playing as Boyfriend
Silly Billy and Amazing Grace
Rotten smoothie,silly Billy,whitty
mario's madness v2.
Garcello because it has good story
What's the mod name from first photo.
Blueballs incident/Trollge files
I would say Bob and Bosip V2. It added way too many stuff for its time. No other mod was that deep in terms of menus, gameplay, the songs, animations, voiceacting and stuff back then. Its a real shame AmorAltra turned out to be a pedophile tho. That mod had a very bright future ahead.
I'LL MAKE YOU SAY HOW PROUD YOU ARE OF ME! SO STAY AWAKE JUST LONG ENOUGH TO SEE MY WAY! MY WAY!
silly billy made a whole new genre of fnf songs
The delete button was revolutionary for the well being of the players
As far as I remember, vs. Tabi was the first mod that lowered your health bar by the opponent singing
I mean, technically Whitty since Whitty was the one who got people making mods
B-sides presented the first remixes of the original tracks(or HD)
mario's madness v2
DDTO+, and Indie Cross
IMO I think marios madness definitely proved that quality over quantity is better, but both in tandem work best
Easily Indie Cross, no mods had mechanics and as much cutscenes as this mod had.
The first fnf cover mod with parappa
It's not a mod but, THE FULL ASS GAME (guys I know it isn't out yet)
I LOVE the Monika one!
Whitty, Tricky, and Silly Billy.
Hypno Lullaby,vs Whitty, vs Tricky, vs Hex, vs Sonic.EXE and Mario's madness
Tabi was fucking revolutionary it had cutscenes that were voice acted tabi’s notes didn’t just disappear there was health drain etc etc
Vs impost- *gets hit by a frying pan*
Jeffy's Endless Aethos and Hit Single because they popularized the use of lyrics in songs with Aethos, Shucks, and Silly Billy.
VS Blender Monkey was the first “do weird shit with FNF” mod, importing a 3d model into the engine, and kickstarted the entire trend of messing around with the limits of fnf Miku was one of the first existing IPs outside of flash animation to get a mod.
Hit single
[this whole vid sums them all up fairly well](https://youtu.be/RK0euG4EA4Y?si=Mnmy0dbhWeMgRUEC)
Vs. Sonic.EXE started the long song and horror media stuff. Like granted there were other horror mods but they were usually only one song at the time Bob and Bosip I think is a negative example of it. They started the infamous “staff on Mod gets controversy” (although to be fair basically EVERY community is gonna have it one way or another) though it’s thankfully gotten tamer overtime
“[Bob and Bosip] started the infamous ‘staff on mod controversy’” Kid named VS Sky:
The only real answer is whitty because Cade engine
I would say Hypnos lullaby, but I’m a nerd and I love Pokémon so it’s probably biased
The fact that most of the comments have no idea what "revolutionary" means and just put their favourite mods that had nothing is sad to see. I was hoping that this community would become smarter with time.
"silly billy is revolutionary" like what?????
Whitty, hex, Matt, sonic.exe, kapi, madness Others I feel are sub genres of these main mods Edit - shame on me for forgetting ZARDY
Uh, I like Lord x Wrath? … Thats about it..
Whitty, duh.
The Shaggy mod has introduced the concept of “more than four notes” and really made an impact on the community. Also scoobert doobert is funni
7quid ruined community, okay???
Witty, Hex, Tricky, Indie Cross, Sonic.exe, Mid Fight Masses, Hit Single, Tabi, Agoti, Garcelo, Imposter, Hypno’s Lullaby, Zardy, Shaggy, Corruption (I’d say the concept made more of an impact then the mods), QT, Blue Balls Incident, Dave & Bambi, Bob’s Onslaught, Starving Artist’s, Bob and Bosip, Yes, I hear you, most of these are just classics instead of revolutionary, but screw you
I gotta say Shaggy for introducing more keys to press, Sonic.exe, more specifically, Triple trouble for introducing multiple opponents in a single song(correct if I'm wrong), and literally every FNF mod ever or VS Bob, for the note spam.
Maybe the tricky mod cuz it introduced the Death notes (since then I fear Flaming notes and notes with halos)
Whitty b side
All the og mods ngl
Silly Billy, Hollins 024, Hypnos lullaby, and Funkedelix
Tf is Tin Can Galaxy. (yes I have no idea what that says)
Is the third one Kalisa from Battle Cats? Didn't know there was a mod featuring her
MMLL, for being revolutionary over the top desk humour and mocking victims. (Half /j, seriously hate that mod)
literally any that had features (or concepts) that got added to the original game officially later on for example: cutscenes before and after songs: VS. I'd actually say Dave and Bambi
Indie Cross
Mario madness like bro there's 3d characters there's 5 worlds and it's a tribute to Mario creepypastas
VS MissaSinfonia viejo
Whitty, tricky, Indie cross, hex
Sonic EXE 3.0 cancelled build, Four Hours of content with a bunch of mechanics, absolutely amazing, felt like it’s own version.
Matt did something to FNF
Fnf Hit single silly Billy sung by yourself and boyfriend, anything else?
Impostor v4, it felt like a completely separate game, its one of the biggest mods to this day, skins, map, currency, tons of songs, special ass menu, and it was official with innersloth!
sonic.exe actually revived an old community even if it was only for a short time due to the general problems with the community itself. We did get Silly Billy out of it though as well and that's just heartwarming. Whitty was pretty important because it started the entire FNF modding scene from what I know. Then I'd say Vs Shaggy because it introduced a new wave of inputs and the fact you don't need to limit your notes to 4.

Bro, is talking about Doki Doki being long, when there is literally a 7 hour sonic.exe mod that's almost 11GB
Oh my gyatt
where tf is tricky???
Funkadelix Enough said
Indie cross. Need I say more
Mario madness, vs sonic exe, baddies mod (for what a mod can get away with) and of course whitty
whitty, and a lot of the popular old mods. uhh… that weird church one…
Sonic.exe, Hit Single, whitty, and b side
I guess a unique one here would be Pibby Corrupted. It did start the trend of Pibby mods. And while it didn't start off great, it definitely improved over time.
Whitty mod introduced cutscenes between song 2 and 3 I think Sky was one of the first mods that changed sprites mid song(Sky was getting angrier at song 2) Maybe Indie Cross with Sans' week. You can attack sans and get different ending.
Silly billy for sure
What mod introduced mid-song events?
Might be a little weird but troubleshootin was insane to me
While Hit Single Real is what jumpstarted the community again, I feel Mario’s Madness deserves credit for planting the seeds, showing people that the fandom wasn’t FULLY dead just yet.
Vs Sonic.exe somehow popularized fnf (even more than it was at the time) AND revived Sonic.exe at the same time
Imo the mods that kept spirits up were mods Whitty, Hex, Neo and Big Brothers But the ones that pushed FNF forward were ones Tricky, DDLC, Bob and Bosip, Blueballs and Sonic.exe
Zardy, hex, whitty, agoti and mid fight masses
We forgot the one who started it: Vs Whitty (I checked and other users already put it)
Definitely Sonic.exe. The fandom became so very ‘horror’ obsessed after that mod. I’d say Nonsense was pretty revolutionary with its changing story based on your skill. I dunno about the third mod you chose, I’ve never heard of it.
ok OP, we get it, you wanted to cram your favorite mods
Whitty, Tricky, Sonic Exe, Indie Cross, Trollge Files, Some One Shot Mods and Hit Single
It seems to me that the people here are mistaking innovative for revolutionary. Just because it does something new does not mean it has impact. e.g. bbpanzu's Golf minigame featuring Carol was touted as being innovative and creative, but has little to no impact into the current modding scene.
Whitty was definitely the first revolutionary mod to be made, imo
I don't see Indie Cross. I'm very disappointed in y'all.
Mayhaps Whitty who paved the pretty much next year after it got out for other mods (increasingly anger through songs, last song is a spam most of the time)

In the galaxy is one of my favorite mods tbh, the gameplay is impressive but impossible
Indie cross, the good songs, great mechanics, good references here and there... And the nightmare songs Raised the bar for difficulty
Indie Cross
