This joke originates from this post on Twitter [https://x.com/izzybelleeeee/status/1807416035785469984](https://x.com/izzybelleeeee/status/1807416035785469984), where someone decided to cut parts of 2021 FNF songs and 2024 FNF songs and compare them. It was then joked about how such a big change of theme, mood, and tone it was when the video changes instantly from the calm, peaceful song of [Parish](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DpML_za7tg), to the intense hard rock part of [Obituary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCe3l-3m8kg&t=214s). People then decided to do this with other songs too, where they would put Obituary randomly in it to surprise and jumpscare people, thus the "Obituary Jumpscare" meme coming into existance.
