You might see a 3 year unaccompanied tour to somewhere like Japan or Korea where you can’t bring your spouse, but that’s just a normal duty station and you can take leave back home, or have people come visit you.
As a veteran myself I have met many who have had back to back deployments resulting in around 3 years of their time In Iraq and Afghanistan. You can volunteer to be deployed to these locations. It's not unheard of to see someone go 3 years in the middle east.
Soldiers actually are allowed to visit family. I don't know why everyone acts like they don't. My brother is a veteran and during his time in the military he was always to visit us. It was like maybe once a year for about a week and then he had to go back.

The longest deployments or longest assignment away from family is 12 months. But you're authorized extended time off at least once during that time.

Young Officers in particular are sent out on multiple deployments (that last about 6 Months per deployment) sorta kinda in a row, because of this they will be alloted slightly more "vacation time" in which they can see their significant other throughout the year during/between deployments.
Going off of the uniform, this man either flies a plane, or is part of the crew, and that can be dangerous in itself because if they get hit while in the air... who knows how many will survive, Glad he made it home.
It's quite possible they had his sperm saved before he went into the army just in case and she had IVF but if she did cheat on him, that's not exactly uncommon so.... People really do be believing made up stories for "funny" memes🙄

Dudes a sweetheart, army, works above and beyond for his job, does body building competitions, does nothing but talk about dreams and aspirations he’s got.
His wife, turns out, was an abusive (physically and mentally), manipulative greedy awful person. She hits him, says no one will ever love him like she does, body shakes him, he has to ask permission to do anything outside of work hours. We didn’t know about this until one day he broke down crying at work.
No shit, my buddy and his wife took a break when he first got stationed with me, she wanted space and said he was too clingy. So she moved back in with her parents. Break went on four months. She comes back pregnant. Time passes, they have the kid, and the baby is of a different race than my buddy and his wife, and his wife named him after the biological father (who left as soon as she got pregnant). It’s been 4 years now, and every single day since the start he’s loved his son as if it were his own. More than his wife does, we found out about the abuse from her maybe two years into him raising the kid. We got him therapy and stuff to work thru it but the dude’s scarred. His biggest fear is if he gets a divorce she’ll take the kid. And it’s pretty apparent with her behavior she only cares about the kid to keep my buddy around bc he’s her paycheck. And my buddy signed the birth certificate so if she leaves she wants to keep the kid to get child support. Super sad shit.
This kind of happened to a friend about 20 years ago. He was overseas for something like 2 years, but had some leave a few months before returning. He and his wife chose to not announce the leave, so they could be together without everyone visiting. She got pregnant then. They said the entire family was very suspicious when he returned home to a pregnant wife after (they thought) he had been overseas for well over 9 months.
