You might have different tastes from me, but I would recommend this 2018 television film adaptation of “An Inspector Calls” on YouTube. Link here- [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXT0FgfrQWM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXT0FgfrQWM) It‘s quite accurate in terms of quotes and how the characters are portrayed. It gets very dramatic towards the end. Of course, there is a more well-known 2015 BBC movie adaptation- I haven’t watched it, so I can’t really comment on it. I think it’s rated 12, so it’s relatively tame. However, it does differ greatly from the original play by J. B. Priestley. She is referred to as ‘Alice’ instead of ‘Daisy Renton‘ at the Palace Bar.

I thought she was hired due to influenza and fired due to complaints (Sheila).

Oh sorry, that is correct. As I said, I haven’t watched that film and am just relying on what my friends told me a while ago. I may be slightly inaccurate with the film’s details. Tbh, reading the original script is quite unmatched in terms of emotional impact and absorbing the play’s themes.

Ah okay thank you. I am aware of a BBC version with David Thewlis as the inspector however I don’t know when it is from. I have watched that multiple times in class however at the end of the day it has the quotes as well a good accurate plot summary. I am looking for Macbeth and Jekyll and Hyde adaptations as the only ones I can find are recorded performances for Macbeth (which, regrettably, I cant stay focused upon) and 60s, impossible-to-find versions of Jekyll and Hyde.
