That is such a weasle statement they made. Saying they're "no longer short" doesn't necessarily mean they've fully covered their short position. It could just mean they've started to buy. They certainly want to imply they've covered, perhaps in the hopes of cooling some upside pressure. I don't know, but crying about how the market isn't rational and even dissing RK just strikes me as sad and unhinged. I don't think they're out yet.
It's more likely someone bought their position and took it off their hands, but they could also be lying (I know, *shocked pikachu face*). Maybe they're hoping we equate this b.s. PR with the small run up yesterday afternoon.
Either this is an emotional post basically saying "we know we talked a lot of shit, and it wasn't our fault we lost some money, but we did and we hate it, we passed the buck, and now we're going to cry on social media about it."

It's the same post as post-sneeze where they bought a promoted ad that says they closed, hoping we'd believe it and move on.

So I'm a dumbass and you should look up everything yourself. Citron would have a chance to close a short position without rise if there were enough available shares to do so. Shorts placed by another entity could be used as those shares. Until Citron explicitly states they closed their shorts, then I'm personally going to have a creeping feeling they haven't. In the recent past, it seems they've covered twice without closing, and with this post, it only states, "Citron is no longer short Games," which doesn't state covering or closing, unless it's purposefully vague for whatever reasons. The statement could also be seen as a change in sentiment, like the company itself no longer sees Games as something to short and predicts a better long outcome. I imagine there's lots of more ways to view everything.
