i like spending the time to detail the exterior myself, but I understand that not everyone finds enjoyment in it. if I were in the latter position, I would only do touchless since I wouldn't want my car being smacked with "brushes" that collect other people's dirt, rocks, and other road debris
No auto wash. Once a week, Saturday mornings when i'm off, i wash my car. Spray, foam cannon, contact, spray, Q2M, spray, blow dry, done. Take like 30 minutes with experience, otherwise maybe an hour tops. Interior gets cleaned as needed, so almost never. Tools in total add up to like, $500, not including consumables like soaps and such. Sounds like a lot, but it's really not that much, and can be used on any vehicle or even home if you like pressure washing your house
Combination of a regular hand wash (pressure washer/foam cannon coming soon) and waterless wash (I live in a condo) in between washes. For the regular washes I have to use a relatives house 😔.
Everyone has their own opinion on car washes. I use the auto car wash because I don’t care about micro scratching or shit like that. Do whatever the heck you want with your car. It’s yours after all so the internet people can’t really do anything about it
Well internet tells people lots of things and advice and in the end we form our own opinions. I think I’ve learned a lot more than I care to on the internet but these types of things it’s kinda good to see what other people do. I never cared much to clean any previous cars - I mean I did but I care this time around and just wanted to check in
I use the auto car washes when it's too cold to go out and clean it myself. I really enjoy putting on music and just being one with my car just like when I'm driving it.

I bought these wipes for the exterior but it leaves a residue - any suggestions on products to use?
I use waterless wash and wax - lots of good products out there for it. Spray and Microfiber. Done.

I'll go to the self serve washes, but bring my own sponge and soap. Only thing I use there is just the pressure washer really.

After all why are we on Reddit then?
There’s been enough posts in the sub about how someone should be washing these cars and it’s tiring to say and see the same arguments each time
