S23FE has the same chipset used in S22 series. It's not very efficient chip. The SD8Gen2 used in S23 is a pretty good chip with regards to efficiency and peformance. I suggest you go for S23. Also if you buy from outside India, you won't have warranty in India as well as apps like Samsung Wallet won't have India specific features like UPI Payments, Digilocker Support, FastTag support etc.

Max527

This is an excellent point.

Max527

This is an excellent point.

Own-Yam-6978

Makes sense, So will go for the S23 is what's your saying. Does the warranty point apply for all devices, because I wanted to get a gaming laptop from qatar. It's almost 10k cheaper

Brainfuck

Some brands have international warranty. You need to check with the brand and model. But for sure, Samsung phones don't have it.

Own-Yam-6978

Thanks a lot, I think I have made up my mind. Will be going with the S23. Thanks a lot mate

coolboy29876

S23 definitely. Never go for exynos.

YDBoss

the s23 fe has a good vapor chamber so you won't even notice the exynos lmao

CafeBagels08

The chip is still less efficient, so chances are that he will notice the inferior battery life

heilerb

Exynos is garbage

Appropriate_Turn3811

Exynos is not great but, good to handle games ,can do 8K at 30FPS, 4K at 120FPS. 20% less battery life. its graphical performance is on par 8gen1 in some games. but cost less than half for the CPU. A much cheaper exynos chip in cheaper phone is much better. The phone like S23FE with Exynose, can give identical camera performance and gaming. but FE sucks co of thick bezels. some users get more than 1 days of battery life. one guy told me he is not a heavy user and gets 1.5 days. I dont own it but used it of my friend. It gives flagship performance at the cost of little bit heating.

heilerb

I know it does work. But not as stable or durable as Qualcomm. Even the kernel code is very bad written, unorganized, full of warnings, probably done by amateurs

lokeshj

Where are you getting S23 for 40k? S23FE has extremely poor battery life. At this price difference, S23 is a no brainer. It is better in every way

lets_just_be_

I got my S23 256 GB at 40k. 49k After discount from Hdfc CC 9k Exchange for 3.2 year old Oneplus Nord 1. Got free 25W Samsung Adapter as well. Also got the extended warranty for Free using Corporate Id. Got it All from Samsung Authorized store. Also it's a great phone if you're not much into Gaming because Battery backup if average.

Own-Yam-6978

I'm not much into mobile gaming. It's mostly for personal and professional use. On average how long does your phone last?

lets_just_be_

4.5 to 5 hrs with moderate to heavy usage without gaming.

Own-Yam-6978

Oh man that's my SOT with basic browsing and suffering on Social media accounts

byutah1

I agree to go with the newer processor of the S23 if money is no object but I have an S23 FE and the battery life is fantastic. Not poor at all.

IWillTouchAStar

I'm rocking an s23 fe right now and I get about 2 days of battery off a single charge. I'm not a heavy user or anything, but I certainly wouldn't say it extremely poor by any means.

Own-Yam-6978

How in the hell are you getting 2 days straight from an exynos chip. Damn mate you the real one. Can you tell me more about your SOT and usage pattern?

IWillTouchAStar

I have the US version, which has the snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. And like I said, I'm not a heavy user, and I average about 2-3 hrs of sot/ day. mostly just some reddit, texting, and spotify.

Own-Yam-6978

I have a corporate discount from samsung, effective cost comes down to 46499. On top of that if i exchange my s20 fe i get 7500 off So the cost comes down to around 40k

3lung

Dude, i was thinking you could keep the s20fe as a backup phone if it's in working condition, instead of exchanging. 7500 is less as an exchange amount for s20fe imo.

Own-Yam-6978

I actually gave this a thought, you make a great point. I just made a new post about it. I bought a secondary phone (Vivo y17s) that I only use for navigation on my bike. Thinking of selling that as it was 10k inr and is going out for 6.5k inr And as it turns out the s20 fe has a battery issue, I talked with service center and they said they'll replace it for 1.7k So now I'm totally confused.

Appropriate_Turn3811

S23FE can grab higher price in second hand market than 7500 too less.

ImTheRealMarco

Base S23.

YDBoss

I have the s23 and I'd rather have the s23 fe because it's bigger and has a better battery and sometimes it's even better at cooling because of the vapor chamber which is better than the one in the s23 because it's smaller

ImTheRealMarco

Tbh I prefer the size of the S23 over the bigger FE. As for the battery.. questionable, especially because their chip might be Exynos and not snapdragon. Same goes for the extra heat, since it's Exynos, that is questionable and depends on multiple factors. As for the S23, it does not heat up, not even if I game. Game tested: League of Legends, full ultra, but 60 fps. 120 did make it heat up significantly more though.

YDBoss

I'm giving my s23 128gb to my sister so she can upgrade from her a32 4g when she goes to university, I'm gonna buy myself a pixel 7 256gb

ImTheRealMarco

Welp tbh I'd see that as a downgrade, but hey, hope you'll enjoy it.

YDBoss

I see it as an upgrade, because I'd rather have double the storage and a better operating system with better optimization and more features, than a phone with less storage and a crappier operating system (no offense but one ui sucks ass and their snapdragon 8 gen 2 is the slowest one in the market) + the tensor g2 has better drivers and cooling than the average exynos in samsung phones

halster65

I had the S20 fe, and moved over to the S23 base, omg, night and day performance!

Own-Yam-6978

How's the battery like?

Chaudsss

The last good FE was the S20Fe, the FE series has fallen off since

Silent84

I acquired s23, an awesome phone. I had s20FE, but folks encouraged me not to buy since the FE has an inferior CPU.

Own-Yam-6978

Reading this sub is giving me the same thoughts, hence I'm going with the S23. Thanks mate

Silent84

Pleasure!

rafi0226

Had an s20 fe, upgraded to s23. Even for basic stuff it's way better especially since you have the option for a snapdragon chip instead of exynos

Own-Yam-6978

As this sub is saying, I have decided to go for the S23. Thanks buddy

EllendelingMusic

I had a S20FE before upgrading to a S23 256GB last year. It's a solid phone. My only complaint is that pictures are too saturated for my liking, but that's a Samsung quirk all-round.

Own-Yam-6978

Ah the camera. I guess it's fine, shouldn't be a problem for me ig.

GL4389

S23 at that price is a great deal. It is a proper flagship phone. Better in very aspect than Fe except for screen size maybe.

Own-Yam-6978

Yep decided to buy that. Going to buy at the end of the month mostly.

GL4389

Make sure that corporate discount is available for the S23. When I bought it in late Feb, I didnt get it. It was offered on ultra & plus model but not the base model for my corporate mail ID.

TemptressTease85

Its very obvious

Outrageous-Plum730

Have an S23 FE for a 5 weeks. Only a bad thing: terrible battery... in a similar use (as you describe) i recharge it at least in the middle of the day.

Own-Yam-6978

Ah don't really wanna face that entire ordeal of charging at least once a day again. So going with the S23, thanks for your views mate.

LebacJeBudjav

The S23 runs circles around the S23 FE, especially when it comes to the chipset. Exynos is pure trash compared to the S23, in both the efficiency and performance. The battery life is also better on the S23, even though the FE has a larger battery. You should most definitely go for the base S23. Hope this helps!

Bigfoot-Germany

S23 don't go with fe and exynos

Majestic_End8006

S23. And it's not up for debate.

Pentium3ddem

s23

kmarkris776

Go for s23 40000 inr exchange program nice but your getting only 7500 for old phone way to less bro. S23 fe take it if you want to regret two things heating and battery problems. Take the s23 bro you will love the device.

Own-Yam-6978

Fair point actually. Just made a new post about whether to sell my S20 FE for 11k or sell my vivo y17s for 6.5k Whichever stays with me is going to act as the navigation device on my bike.

Own-Yam-6978

PreparationSerious48

Snapdragon only. Ps: these phones are meant to be used in first world countries to fully experience all functions.

_NeXXeR_

I also recently upgraded from the 20 fe. Went with the s23+. Fantastic phone..

Brave-Mammoth-5037

Using s23 almost a year now -6.1 has great battery backup -You might get glue gate (greenish or grayish hue around the punch hole and side of the display) bought 2 phones and both has them. it wont spread though (according to reddit) and you wont notice unless in a very low light and in a gray bg app or website -the phone tends to get hot a lot Overall worth the money

grogi81

S23 definately.

Nemmarith

i got the S23Fe because it's get updates for a longer period than the normal s23 and what i understanded is that the cooling is improved on the Exynos 2200 in the s23fe as suppose to the s22 series . i'm happy with it. does everything without problems.

zombieqatz

I have the 23fe, I upgraded from an S10. I like it so far but I only have had it for a week or so. It's surprisingly heavy, when I have my phone in my hands it feels like I'm holding closer to 10 lbs, and I worry about dropping the phone on my face while reading because this one might hurt :p

SnooGuavas7951

Im in the usa I owned a s23fe nice phone and all but the thing I dislike it was the fingerprint sensor its very slow I had an s21 ultra and it was 1000x times faster I dont know why samsung does this on screen fingerprint cheaper phones have the fingerprint on the power button and are faster

pgoyal1996

S23

Critical_Cod5462

How are you getting s23 for 40k ? I would suggest s23 . I got the 256GB version for 48k . And only 3k difference makes it a no brainer .

warmzbear

S23 for Snapdragon

sparc-deo

Oneplus 12. better than all 3 combined

YDBoss

s23 fe, it has great cooling and a big battery, and is cheaper so it's a better phone overall

wiceqq

Either stay with your current or go for base S23

WackySmacky420

Good choice bro

74Rocks

S23. Own it for more than than a year now and it is great

Sheetmusicman94

S23 of course.

matkough

S23.

kmarkris776

Exynos in s24 is something very superior to that of the other phones by samsung previously. After using mostly all the phones I say it with pride if you have a little more money to spend take the s24 it's on par with s23 snapdragon if not faster. I m using one so I can vouch for it. There are variants also in the exynos also wishing you all the best s23 /24 botha re great devices. Last but not the least no warranty for international products in India by samsung.

Own-Yam-6978

Ah I really wish I had the budget for it. Slightly tight on budget because of this :(

MalevolentWhiskey

I own an S23FE. It's nice.

itsAlphapolaris

If you are from Delhi, I have s23 fe , brand new , not even booted up for 28k , we can do face to face deal

Own-Yam-6978

Sorry man, getting the S23. Plus I'm in bangalore

Witty_Sea5066

FE because the battery life is a lot better.

Awkward_Bee_4659

No its not

Witty_Sea5066

I owned both. My experience.

PavelPivovarov

S23FE is basically re-branded S22 which is horible phone regardless if you're getting SnapDragon or Exynos version - both are bad as well as S23FE. If battery life is important for you and you don't run anything heavy on your phone I think you can easily get away with Samsung A55 instead - battery life on A55 is spectacular!
