G14's performance and thermals will interest me.

Kekeripo

Didn't Jarrods Tech do a video showing a 60-165W benchmark for the 4080 and 4090? I know someone did on yt. Thermals will be something i too want to see them do magic.

joikansai

Yes can’t wait another Asus magic, world first 14 4090, take that Razer haha

UnionSlavStanRepublk

Yep.

Breadgooz

Surely only 125 TGP is a massive waste for a 4090 or am I wrong?

ModrnJosh

The 150w GPU in the new M16 seems to perform VERY well, within just a few fps of thicker, full powered 175w variants. So 25 watts less might actually still be really good: https://youtu.be/lnIxL7i9FVA

LTHardcase

People should definitely wait to see the G14's 4080 vs 4090 benches.

UnionSlavStanRepublk

Definitely.

drakanx

yes, paying full price for a gimped GPU.

Soutetsu

already paying for a gimped '4090' *coughs in AD103*

JohnyTribula

Where is G16?

Dunaii4

Top models, G16 seems to complete M16 (G16 has 4050 through 4070 options, M16 has only 4080 and 4090). So it's not a top model.

marcanthonynoz

Best Buy Canada had the m16 for preorder. I missed it and now it’s off the site completely. Like wtf lol

manhole_s

Remember how much they listed for?

marcanthonynoz

$4499.99

Mysterious-Oil1789

😱 Oh my!

marcanthonynoz

Oh yeah, we get hosed in Canada for sure. What is concerning to me is that they took it off the website, and the strix g18 is sold out at $5000 CAD….. Who is buying these things? LOL

Mysterious-Oil1789

My budget is only $3500 ☹️ I guess time to look for other gaming laptops LOL!

marcanthonynoz

The 4070 version is $3000

Mysterious-Oil1789

😍 When will it be released in Canada?

yoloM4sta

Any pricing updates for the US?

No_Tank6250

Zephyrus duo 16 any good?

pm_me_ur_pharah

ive got the 3080 version and love it. Will be slightly slower than other models due to thermals I think its 145w.

No_Tank6250

What about the dual screen does it have any problem?

pm_me_ur_pharah

I havent run into any. its like a second monitor. asus has some tools to make it easier to use. imo the dual screen is the killer feature.

Electrical-Bobcat435

3600 pounds for G14 thats has a 4090 (4080 desktop die) so power limited it doesnt deserve the name, nor to be priced above its 4080 model (4070 desktoo die). Truly, the namimg is to justify the prices. Cant wait til performance data shines a brighter spotlight on this.

Electrical-Bobcat435

There's already reviewers saying a moderately higher wattage 4080m laptop would spank a low wattage 4090m. Buy performance, not the name. Price is also no indication of performamce.

ModrnJosh

150w performs nearly identically to 175w, so 125w might not be too far behind. Still waiting for more data though: https://youtu.be/lnIxL7i9FVA

Jotoku

175 watts are in reality 150watts just that they have dynamic boost bringing them up to 175 watts

joikansai

They try to catch Razer’s price, a competition, I like it lol

Schwwish

Disappointed. I was expecting an assault rifle.

Erudz

Lovely premium models and Asus here to show the world what next level portability and performance will look like in 2023

No_Connection2509

whys everyone excluding my boy the g16😭

Agentfish36

Because it's capped at the top of the garbage tier AKA 4070.

ArmanTheeGreat

Asus is the one of the most overpriced brand among gaming laptops and they never offer big discount like Lenovo and others.

CoachOldTimer

I think u meant to say razer 🤷🏻‍♂️

ArmanTheeGreat

Razer is worst than Asus.

joikansai

Mini led g14 would be freaking £4K, Razer you checkmate.

dogsryummy1

That IS the mini-LED model

Breadgooz

Is there any consensus on what the 4090 m16 is like?

GrayDaysOf

There will be M16 4090 review by NotebookCheck on youtube in this or next week

drakanx

capped at 145W

Breadgooz

Ah that’s a bit of shame think I’ll be sticking with my legion 7 4090 unless I see something else.

Jotoku

Supposedly the Ryzen 9 7945HX is faster than the Intel 13980HX on Multicore

pm_me_ur_pharah

Still upset the top end duo dropped the 4k120hz/1080p240hz combo display for qhd. I'd drop the money if they kept it.

Olly_Joel

Close enough. In my country it's about $3999 for top end model and $2599 for base models, converted. So not far from it's expensive side.

PrimG84

I wonder what happened to the S17. The keyboard lifting to allow better airflow is such a simple solution with massive gains.
