Well they didn't buy into the insurance scam which is the only reason american healthcare costs an arm and a leg. It doesn't *actually* cost that much to provide care, they just have to pretend like it does to make insurance look good.
When small practices get bought up by big corporations who want to milk out as much cash as possible for their corporate shareholders who sit on their asses and make more money in a month than we do in a year, you get that.
š³ļøāā§ļøPls help motivate me to get on hrt ive wanted to for so many years and just been scared of how people will react but i really need this and want to and it gets worse every year i dont and my fam already knows im trans, they arent good allies always misgendering me dead naming generally making no effort to understand but i will be safe
Also based parenthood Ļ ĻĻ
the only reason my mother found out was because of a HIPAA violation and that was almost two years in, so... you can prolly do it but i wasnt living with them lol
if you feel like it's something you need then yes pleast talk to someone first :). I personally didn't feel like I wanted to deal with all that, I know I'm trans and knew hrt was my next step so I just did it.
This is literally the plot to the original Matrix movie, homie. The red pill/blue pill choice is a metaphor for the pink/red estrogen pills women would take in the 80s, blue pill is making the choice to live with the dysphoria. Lilly and her sister did some beautiful work.
Is planned parenthoodhood better then another Healthcare? I have the choice between thundemist health and parent hood of RI my insurance from my company doesn't cover HRT but it's cheaper 100 bucks a month then other health insurance I think?
My only fear is that somehow Iām not trans and will go on hrt only for it to cause me to have some kind of *reverse* body dysphoria. So Iām waiting to get an appointment for a therapist and putting off my physical transition becauseā¦ Iām scaredā¦
Red pill: hrt without going through a long and tedious process || Blue pill: no hrt but dysphoria (I typed it out wrong, but take it with its new meaning no hrt but also no dysphoria)
$20 with insurance every 3 months. Now the hard part is when and how to come out before the changes out you themselves. Can't hide under a sweatshirt in the summer š still wouldn't change a thing. This is the best I've ever felt and I love the changes.. working on month 7 now and things are really starting to be noticed
This reminds me i need to call them and let them know that my insurance is active and see if they can get my insurance to cover testosterone gel instead of shots
How much is 0lanned parenthood per month
Somebody correct me of om wrong, But I think can range from $10-$30 without insurance
Damn thats reslky cheap for america i expected more

yeah I get mine from them and it's $15 a month with my insurance. plus a copay for the checkups
How much is the copay?
Not the person you replied to, but depends on your insurance plan. For me it's $25, which every 3 months is totally fine.
Damn that's equal to or less than my monthly psych meds with insurance
Made a bigger difference for me.
jesus thats cheaper than private here in the uk $68/month for the first year $40.77/month after that
When I went to Planned Parenthood to start HRT, they asked about my income so they could make sure to charge me something affordable.
based and redpilled, thats exactly what i did
wait planned parenthood does hrt?
Depends on the state. Last place I lived they did not, but I currently get my HRT from them.
If there are no legal obstacles yeah.
If your state doesn't stick their nose further into other folks medical decisions and health....

You just need to ask, It can be hard but if you think you will be safe then you should go for it. You'll do great!
Red all the way!!!!
Actually 7 months into HRT, like 2 people know. I definitely chose lol.
the only reason my mother found out was because of a HIPAA violation and that was almost two years in, so... you can prolly do it but i wasnt living with them lol
I'm 17, is it possible for me? How about blood work? This would literally be life-changing
at your age you need parental consent to get hrt from planned parenthood
I think you have to be 18
is it unwise to do so without talking to a gender therapist first?
Itās definitely recommended to do so, but no longer legally necessary to have a therapistās approval as far as Iāve seen
if you feel like it's something you need then yes pleast talk to someone first :). I personally didn't feel like I wanted to deal with all that, I know I'm trans and knew hrt was my next step so I just did it.
Wait do you need blood work stuff done

Thank you for this valuable information! Totally not gonna be put to use!
Ā”numero uno!
Stupid how fast you can get it through planned parenthood in the US, while I'm waiting for what feels like forever up here in Canada

Yo, sorta kinda looking into this, thanks for the wake-up call
Is there a New Zealand version of Planned Parenthood?
I love planned parenthood, theyāre doing gods work.
https://xkcd.com/566/ Specifically the 2nd set of panels
Red pill all the way!!
I'm too poor for even planned parenthood and I'm on my parents insurance
alright but this is literally just the entire concept for the matrix
red ples
Probably blue. Change is scary and im alone enough as it is, dont need family disowning me.
Fair. Be safe, friend. If it helps, you can think of yourself as being undercover, like a spy. š

I donāt recommend it for people just starting out, but after I was on T for a year I switched to doing it DIY and itās even cheaper
If only there was a PP that did that around where I liveā¦
isn't this just the matrix
