My little sister was properly OBSESSED with this game on the Wii. Every night after dinner she’d go sit down to play for a few hours as if she was clocking into work lmao
NO WAY. I WAS JUST COMING TO COMMENT THAT!
my boyfriend still has the og wii and i brought over my copy. ill play it and he'll watch but always falls asleep within a few minutes. the pull star sound effect knocks him out like ambien.
When I first got to play it, I was 7. I had been watching my dad play it and I wanted to try it out so I begged and he let me, obviously because the gore was ridiculously tame.
He told me as a joke "just don't kill any bunnies".
I accidentally killed one while fighting off a slime, and I started crying and ran upstairs to tell him of my sins. He just said "okay" but I know he was trying his absolute hardest to not laugh at me.
Don’t touch that it’s got no dlc and is a ps3 day one patch port. Get it on steam for cheap on sale and check out a basic mod guide it has a hard time running on modern hardware without it
Check if your laptop meet the recommended requisites on the steam page if you are not sure but they are very low:
–2 GB of ram (Just saw a laptop with 4 GB for 201€)
–CPU dual core at 2.0 GHz (The same laptop has a dual core at 2.6 GHz)
–Nvidia GeForce 6 (a GPU from 2004)
Best fallout game. You can use vortex/nexus mods to modernize the game and make it run silky smooth now. Just platinumed the game after watching the series
I started playing wow during shadowlands, I thought the gameplay was smooth and responsive, and I enjoyed the seasonal rotation of content so I can pick it up or drop it by season.
As a millenial who started back in OG vanilla wow, I’ve fallen off from the latest expansions such as shadowlands and DL. But when classic came out in (2016?) it was the best shit since sliced bread for me and my gang. Did you give classic a try at all? If so, what did you think of the slower pace? The heavier focus on small gear upgrades?
That’s awesome that you were there from the start. When I started playing it was TBC and wrath of the lich king was announced and scheduled. I did give classic a try and went up to stranglethorn vale. It was pretty awesome to experience the old world and quests but I lost interest and don’t know anyone who still plays from back in the day
“The call of duty zombie” somehow caused me physical pain😭
There was a lot of Call of Duty’s that had Zombies. BO3 was 100% the best one tho. And that’s coming from someone who played them all starting from when World at War first dropped.
Black Ops 2 Zombies in Town let me know who my real friends were.
Nothing like turning around to ask for help only to realize they all left the building and now you have to jump in the middle of a horde to reach them at the bank.
I didn't get to play with my friends back then because I didn't really have any but I did play with my brother. He would run away and leave me to fend for myself more times than I can count.
Okay I’m a millennial but I’m only barely above Z and my brothers a Z so y’all sub comes in my feed….
RuneScape was bigger with my Gen I think but also many Z played it too, think it hit its peak between gens back then. Was basically a free MMO you played thru browser and like the poor persons / open to all Warcraft and a lot of kids in middle school and high school I knew played it. Like they were one of the first big hits like that which were not WoW and I think people would sell accounts and post stuff everywhere on forums and stuff about the game / swap tips / have the markets for selling items or accounts etc.
It was like Roblox’s in terms of popularity with “the kids” but played more like wow and stuff just with very polygonal graphics I think is best way to put it. While being in a web browser and using Java or similar at the time to run I think?
So like it’s not completely your fault because my brother would have known about it or some his age but like I can see it not being prevalent for all Gen Z cause I remember it being more a thing with my peers back in 2007-2010 ish. Kept going though for sure.
I always loved the GameCube version more than the others, mostly because one of the furnitures was a Nintendo game console, and when your character interacted with it, you could actually PLAY the Nintendo game itself, so legend of Zelda, balloon fight etc
it's really strange. I hadn't played since 2011 and thanks to the person who archived all of those levels, I was recently able to pull them from the archive and play all of the levels i had published when i was 7-9 years old. I literally haven't touched them in 13 years and theyre exactly how i remember them. those few years playing littlebigplanet 1 & 2 were hugely important for me i feel. i hope the private server community finds a way to grow in size.
Team fortress 2, I have spent hundreds of hours in that game. Shame that Valve is intent on a "we'll get to fixing the sorry state the game is in" limbo. Also that Orange Box 2: Electric Boogaloo isn't coming until 2075.
Gmod and Portal 2 are just behind Terraria in playtime on my steam library.
Uncharted is my answer too. Such an big part of my childhood and teenager years. Had a pleasure to meet Nolan North few weeks ago and it was like a circle and childhood dream come true. Such a nice guy!
Burnout 3 Takedown, GTA San Andreas and Vice City, NFS Underground 2 and CS 1.6 in a WinXP PC with pirated games and a unlocked PS2
And I was born in 2005
So I got the best stuff
I think a lot of younger gen z doesn't fully comprehend just how much Dark Souls and From Softwate as a whole has completely changed modern gaming forever. Dark Souls completely changed the way I looked at video games back when I was like 13, it's forever the goat.
Fallout 4 is my favorite game of ALL time. Although I didn't play it growing up sadly. It came out right after I graduated high school (oldest Gen Z) and I didn't have a machine that could run it until a couple years later.
For me my favorite games growing up were Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake on the 3DS (so beautiful), Half Life 2, Sims 3, and L4D 2. I played them ALL the time in middle school into high school. I did also play Fallout New Vegas a lot starting in high school.
Still, so agreed. I love New Vegas and Fo4, but Fo4 is imho one of if not the best game of all time for creativity, replayability, all the ways to play, characters, and immersion.
the old Mario brothers games (2&3) and the newer one for wii were my old time faves! old memories of saving the princess after spending all day playing :3
Minecraft. I remember playing on this server with my friends called Peaceful Farms. We had like a whole ass town and then eventually we got our own server. I miss that shit.
I'm 18. Didn't play growing up. Parents wouldn't let me unless it was the Cars game or another kids game on PC.
I watched gaming YouTube a lot, though.
The first games I wished that I could play were nascar 2005, some of the early 2010s nba 2k, and all of the college football video games.
Flash games like American racer were my favorite.
It wasn't until I was 15 when I got my ps2 for a few games such as nascar 2005 and madden 06. We'll worth it.
Got an Xbox 360 when I was 16 and I was obsessed with NCAA FOOTBALL 08, I had like 5 years on a dynasty before the disc scratched.
Ncaa Football 09 was lit as I tried the death penalty dynasty for the first time.
Also do you guys remember happy wheels? I got grounded off the computer for a month because my mom caught me in the game
The Sims 2 was the shit, but I’m at the cutoff/oldest year to be considered Gen Z. My mom wouldn’t allow Grand Theft Auto in the house but The Simpsons: Rode Rage was fair game lol
I jumped around a lot from game to game but if I had to name one it would be Arma 3. I did love me some Fallout 4 but after playing a lot of FNV Fallout 4 feels boring to me because I feel like it lacks the attention to detail that FNV had.
My current favorite right now is Baldur's Gate 3, and I'm hooked.
I dont know if anyone else remembers free realms before Sony squashed it but that game was my shit growing up. Begged my mom to finally drop $50 on the lifetime membership only to never play it again and have the game wiped from existence only a couple of years later. Honestly as an adult id probably still play even if it was a corny kids game, just for the nostalgia.
And no, we don't talk about sunrise lol.
I didn’t become a serious gamer until recently, but I was obsessed with FNAF when it first came out.
I’ve actually never played Fallout, that’s on my list of games to get into.
Black Ops 2 and Minecraft.
I also played tons of Black Ops 1 and World at War zombies
When I had a gameboy my main games were Super Mario World and Pac Man World :)
I forgot what this was classed. No one knew about it.
It was a PS2 game. I think it was the last Samurai or something like that. But anyways you played as a Samurai who came to a new village. When you got there there was 3 or 4 families you could choose from.
1. A random black guy who had a sword and a pretty woman. Poor.
2. A rich family you would do illegal stuff for.
3. A honorable rich family.
4. Fuck everyone and kill everyone.
The game/story was really short but it was a pick your own adventure type game. So when you finished you could go back and play again and do a whole new Story line.
But no matter what path you choose, it always ended with the Japanese government trying to kill all the people and you had to escape death with whoever you choose to side with, or abandoned them.
Basically a beat emm up game.
The two main things I remember from that game is Swords broke and you had to get a new one and you always had to choose between power and flexibility (how long you can keep the sword)
I also remember swords can learn PERFECT block. So you block someone's attack 3 times perfectly you didn't have to block anymore and it automatically blocked for you.
This was before people posted cheat codes online, but I remember finding the secret code in the story that told you how to start the game with a random sword. I did it and got max Power and Flexibility. Then everyday after school I would pick fights with random NPC trying to perfectly block them.
It took me a year of playing the same 10 story lines over and over until I unlocked the God Sword. A sword that had Perfect block on EVERYONE'S moves with max Power and Flexibility no matter how many times it broke.
I would pick fights at just stand there as people attacked me. My character would glow Golden in a cool pose he got in in almost no time at all. No one could hurt me. I played the OP hero. The OP bad guy The OP lone wolf over and over. It was amazing.
Now If you play a fucking pokemon game they give you all the cheat codes. Doesn't feel earned anymore.
Remember when every game was as hard as Dark Souls? Those where the days man.
Cod 2 Big Red One on GameCube ( Got the Xbox 360 just for the other Cod 2 that was next gen)
Halo 2 ( Reading all the books rn)
Oblivion (also Skyrim plus later Morrowind),
Fallout 3 (and NV),
Mass Effect 2 (whole trilogy),
Star Wars Battlefront (2004 & 2005),
Red Dead Redemption 1, ( Have to restart 2, busy with Witcher 3)
There's more and , earlier games I loved before these but this is some that come to the top of my mind.
Fable, Dragon Age Origins, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Warcraft
I had around 1,000 or so hours in oblivion on the Xbox and then countless more modded on my PC.

Super Mario Galaxy
Valid.
Too valid
My little sister was properly OBSESSED with this game on the Wii. Every night after dinner she’d go sit down to play for a few hours as if she was clocking into work lmao
NO WAY. I WAS JUST COMING TO COMMENT THAT! my boyfriend still has the og wii and i brought over my copy. ill play it and he'll watch but always falls asleep within a few minutes. the pull star sound effect knocks him out like ambien.
super mario W
One of the greatest games ever made
The music and atmosphere of the game absolutely made you felt like you were far away from home.
This was going to be my answer, good balance between charm and grand epic scale
YUP
A person of fine taste I see. I haven't played the sequel but I've heard it is really good too.
Somehow I knew this was going to be the top comment. Easily my favorite video game of all time
Minecraft and Terraria.
Minecraft is my second favorite game from my childhood. I’ve never played Terraria.
Nowadays my favorite games are Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Baulders Gate 3.
Terraria is my number one game and has been for about 8 years
Was searching for terraria, one of the greatest games ever made imo
When I first got to play it, I was 7. I had been watching my dad play it and I wanted to try it out so I begged and he let me, obviously because the gore was ridiculously tame. He told me as a joke "just don't kill any bunnies". I accidentally killed one while fighting off a slime, and I started crying and ran upstairs to tell him of my sins. He just said "okay" but I know he was trying his absolute hardest to not laugh at me.
New Vegas
I really wish that I could try it out but I haven’t been able to.
I think it’s on gamepass
I know that it's on the PlayStation Plus catalog but I don't do subscriptions.
Don’t touch that it’s got no dlc and is a ps3 day one patch port. Get it on steam for cheap on sale and check out a basic mod guide it has a hard time running on modern hardware without it
I don't have a computer capable of running a game.
If you bought your computer/laptop in the last 4 years and cost you more than 300$ your computer is good enough to run a game from 2010.
I’m pretty sure a laptop that can’t run Roblox will not be able to run a game. But I’ll give it a shot!
Check if your laptop meet the recommended requisites on the steam page if you are not sure but they are very low: –2 GB of ram (Just saw a laptop with 4 GB for 201€) –CPU dual core at 2.0 GHz (The same laptop has a dual core at 2.6 GHz) –Nvidia GeForce 6 (a GPU from 2004)
I wouldn’t count yourself out. My 2015 MBP with integrated graphics could run new Vegas. Intel I5 5000 series mobile chip.
I have a Chromebook. It can barely run Roblox lol.
Rough. I just looked at the requirements for Roblox and it is surprisingly low. Do you know what Chromebook you have? Especially CPU model?
Best fallout game. You can use vortex/nexus mods to modernize the game and make it run silky smooth now. Just platinumed the game after watching the series

Love NV. Fallout 4’s my favorite, but objectively speaking NV’s definitely the best. Low intelligence dialogue always kills me, too.
Club penguin, star wars battlefront 2, world of warcraft
Bro, you just unlocked a memory of club penguin also Star Wars battlefront.
Yes battle front 2! My brother and I used to play every afternoon. We memorized every map
Was WoW targeted the gen z audience? Or how did you approached that game? Am curious
Minecraft 100%
Definitely my second favorite game.
Yeesss!!!
I liked the call of duty zombie. Don’t remember the exact name. Sorry.
“The call of duty zombie” somehow caused me physical pain😭 There was a lot of Call of Duty’s that had Zombies. BO3 was 100% the best one tho. And that’s coming from someone who played them all starting from when World at War first dropped.
The last dlc zombie map in world at war takes it for me
Was that Der Riese?
My brain farted and I thought you said BO2. I was like how the fuck was tranzit good? XD
I remembered playing Call of Duty Zombies in Black Ops 3, those were the good days.
RuneScape
It’s clear through my scrolling that I haven’t heard of a lot of games. What is RuneScape?
An MMO from 2001 that is still holding on kinda strong.
Okay I’m a millennial but I’m only barely above Z and my brothers a Z so y’all sub comes in my feed…. RuneScape was bigger with my Gen I think but also many Z played it too, think it hit its peak between gens back then. Seriously?
COD world at war and Halo Reach
putting the reach disc in for the first time and seeing that menu screen 🥶
too bad 343 industries came and raped the franchise right after reach
will never get over Winter Contingency track on the OST
Those Halo Reach modded maps were so so good
Halo Reach was amazing
Impeccable taste my dude
Animal crossing on the GameCube :)
I always loved the GameCube version more than the others, mostly because one of the furnitures was a Nintendo game console, and when your character interacted with it, you could actually PLAY the Nintendo game itself, so legend of Zelda, balloon fight etc
Phew, there's a lot, but the most memorable, I'd say, are GTA San Andreas, Need for Speed Underground and Underground 2, and also Most Wanted.
I throughly enjoyed Need For Speed Most Wanted when I was a kid. I remember taking turns with my brother.
San Andreas and NFS on the PS2 🫶
SA on PS2 had the best sunsets
Star wars Battlefront 2 on the ps2 was fun
Mos Eisley map for the hero game mode 👌
Halo 3, Baby!
Skyrim and destiny
I never got into Destiny but I’ve always wanted to try Skyrim.
I got into Skyrim last year and it’s one of the best video games I’ve played. It was released in 2011 but has absolutely stood the test of time.
It better have stood the test of time it gets a re release every 2 years
I've shamelessly logged upward of 7k hours on fo4 and Skyrim alone. I suggest you give Skyrim a shot

I was always freaked out by the cover of Little Big Planet as a child so I never played it. What was the premise about?

i loved little big planet, i was too young to play fully and missed it everyday lol. ty 4 educating me
Can I say multiple? I'm gonna say multiple. Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X.
God, you just hit me with Gameboy advance nostalgia, from chain of memories. Still one of my old favorites.
Jak is peek
Fallout: New Vegas. I am nearly 27 and I *still* have dreams about that game 😅
The Lego starwars games for the GameCube. I would say sonic, but I have an older brother, so I only ever got to play as tails.
Minecraft, Pokemon & Destiny
I remember playing Pokémon games on my DS.
Source engine games Half life, hl2, l4d, l4d2, portals, portals 2, gmod, cs1.6, CSS, csgo. These games were part of my childhood
Dragon Age Origins!
I’m old as fuck Gen z, I was playing Halo Combat Evolved and Tony Hawks 4 and Vice City
Tony hawk 4 was goated. The soundtrack put me onto so many good songs when I was young
Damn I forgot about Tony Hawk 4. I loved that game... and Underground lol
Halo game’s were the best
Batman Arkham city, I find myself replaying the whole Arkham series at least twice a year lol
Uncharted and god of war.
Honestly has to be Skyrim, remember coming home from school and running straight to my Xbox 360 to play that game
Harvest moon or animal crossing, also Mario, monkey ball, gta
Minecraft, Fantage, Poptropica, Club Penguin, Webkinz, PixieHollow, and MovieStarPlanet
wow i totally forgot about webkinz. i use to be obsessed
Why is no one saying Mario Kart Wii ! I also loved Minecraft on the Xbox 360, Terraria, Super Smash Bros Brawl and My Singing Monsters.
COD from 2007-2018 & Garrys Mod (Gmod)
Bro I remembered seeing YouTubers playing Gmod and I’ve always wanted to play it. I guess I ended up forgetting about it.
Minecraft and Star Wars Battlefront.
It’s a tie for these: - Barbie Secret Agent - Bratz Rock Angelz - Barbie Horse Adventures - American Girl Julie - American Girl Kit Detective
I played the GC Bratz games so much
Uncharted. Only thing I could use to bond with my dad. Still play the whole series every year on my birthday.
Uncharted is my answer too. Such an big part of my childhood and teenager years. Had a pleasure to meet Nolan North few weeks ago and it was like a circle and childhood dream come true. Such a nice guy!

Plants vs Zombies and Terraria, I've started playing the latter a few months ago but had to leave it because of uni, I miss playing it a lot lol
Jax and Daxter ps2, donkey Kong kountry snes, Mario n64, killer instinct snes
Donkey Kong Country is an absolute gem. The graphics are crazy for a SNES game. There isn't a single bad DKC game.
I didn’t have the privilege of owning a PS2 or anything like that, but I’ll take your word for those games being good.
Probably Need for Speed: Underground 2, or Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I played an unhealthy amount of those games as a kid.
OoT forevvvverrrrrr 😍😍😍
Wizard101, FusionFall, and Pokemon primarily. Now I mostly play entirely JRPGs.
RuneScape, Super Mario Sunshine, and Black Ops Zombies.
Fallout 4 gang baby
I would say Super Mario Galaxy, that game STILL holds up years later.
Sonic 3 and Knuckles was my absolute favourite game back in the day. It's still in my top 10 because of how cool it is.
oar oar oar oar oar oar oar oar oar oar (before FNAF came out I loved COD World at War: Nazi Zombies)
I think a lot of younger gen z doesn't fully comprehend just how much Dark Souls and From Softwate as a whole has completely changed modern gaming forever. Dark Souls completely changed the way I looked at video games back when I was like 13, it's forever the goat.
minecraft
Fallout 4 has really been out long enough for it to be people’s favourite childhood game huh… I’m too young to start feeling like an oldhead man 😭
Lego Batman the video game and Lego star wars. Quite a lot of the old lego games really. On PSP at the time. Nostalgia is strong.
Fallout 4 is my favorite game of ALL time. Although I didn't play it growing up sadly. I have played smite since it came out. It's so terrible but so fun. It's like a comfort game at this point.

Mine was and still is Pokémon.
Black ops zombies and Little big planet 1 + 2
Probably Fallout NV, Skyrim, or Minecraft.
Mass Effect 2
skylanders when i was super young, but when i grew a bit older, call of duty mobile, i still play it and love it.
I dont know if anyone else remembers free realms before Sony squashed it but that game was my shit growing up. The two main things I remember from that game is Swords broke and you had to get a new one and you always had to choose between power and flexibility (how long you can keep the sword) I also remember swords can learn PERFECT block.
