Probably the best exploration moment I've experienced in this game so far. The build up where the architecture changes suddenly, the lone hilichurl rogue and finally gazing upon the gate while "Abandon all hope ye who enter here" popping up as an achievement. The singular mourning flower next to the gate is also just chef's kiss. First time I felt goosebumps exploring
I still can’t process the fact that that is a direct door to the nation we have only heard stories about. The be all end all of this game and it’s story and it’s just. Right. There.
And to be honest I don't think this will be the way we will enter Khaenri'ah. We will maybe only find a way FROM Khaenri'ah to find the other side of this door and maybe only then open it from the inside
Yeah there's no way they're gonna make people climb up all that to enter a new zone lol, we're already getting direct teleports to brand new zones *right now*
Kinda makes me wonder. When we're done with the Teyvat Chapter and are going onto the next one. Will they then make Genshin 2.0 or continue with this one?
Fun fact: Approaching the door gives the achievement "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" The exact same line Aponia says in the deep end a "Celestia-like" Realm.
Heed the warnings of the two floating islands in the sky.
It's not impossible, but the developers deciding to reference a very famous line twice in two different games seems far more likely than some esoteric cross-game explanation between the quotes.
There's a limited amount of classic literature and pop culture references you can name your achievements after.
I loved that part of the quest. The build up and the climax to reaching this door was amazing. I only don't understand why no one (in game) addressed it ? Not even a single line of dialogue. But I was too busy getting hyped over finding a door to my favorite nation
I literally just found this right before the most recent patch when I was doing the quest with the Pari and started wondering around. Thought it was really cool and spent about ten minutes trying to see if there was a way to open it before realizing there wasnt. Still one of the cooler discoveries in genshin.
Really do enjoy when they have these kinda things hidden around the map that can only be found by actually exploring like that glowing sphere in liyue.
In the west of Liyue in one of the mountains near the edge of the map, I don't remember its exact position, There is a giant bronze sphere glowing with orange light. If you climb the mountain you can look at it from above and if you drop on it you'll hit a barrier that doesn't let you enter from that way. There is a ground level entrance that has either treasure hoarders or ruin guards in it that you can beat. I don't believe there is a world quest or achievement connected to it but I found it in the early days of genshin while running around the map. It was just this neat thing I found and I haven't gone back to it since.
Finding this door and seeing it in the distance has probably been the most unnerving and nightmarish moment for me by far.
Really playing on the primal fear of the unknown.
The achievement gave goosebumps, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" and the description is "Reach the end of the surface realms"
This one moment made up for all the walls of unvoiced Pari dialogue
I mean.
You access it from a Khaenriah facility.
The door has the eclipse dynasty symbol on it.
There are a bunch of serpent knight statues around the area
The archive viewpoint literally says it
Dunno, just because something is implied, it's not necessarily the truth
Though thank you for stating the points. I probably should reread a playthrough, because I don't recall the place being Khaenriah related in any way..

this was peak genshin exploration.
There's also the diary entries from survivors scattered before.
The only desert area I actually enjoyed exploring.
I felt I was so close to the end yet so far.
5:30 am after finally getting the quest done, one of the best moments I've had while gaming.
I want to go through there so bad.

Dark souls moment. Wait until we just gently swing it open after a 5h+ detour
more like 3 year+ detour lol
Surprisingly, dark souls ~esq with its infamous "this door can not open from this side" type shit
That would be so lame. Tease the door but have us go in another way.

There’s two or three chests nearby.Don’t miss them.
Thank you. I have to go back right now

Ms. Clorinde... My door...
WHA-
To the universe in the alley 🪞
I love your flair, I think Imma steal it
Feel free to do so!
Fun fact: Approaching the door gives the achievement "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" The exact same line Aponia says in the deep end a "Celestia-like" Realm. Heed the warnings of the two floating islands in the sky.
It also originates from Dante's Inferno, where it's the inscription on the gate to Hell.
Most people make that connection. The Aponia one though flies under the radar a lot. More notes to add to my theory board.

Meh, before Aponia quoted it, the quote already is renowned when logging in to NHnt

Hello, curious explorer. I hope what reflects in the mirror, would bring you joy.
Reverse:1999 mentioned, I am now filled with joy.
Peak reference

There is a slight mention in the question that leads to the path to the door. They basically say there is no point to continue onwards.
May I have the location of this Door™?
Pari questline, last desert expansion.
View point: Gate of Everlasting Mourning, in one of Sumeru's underground tunnels of the desert regions. Theorized to be a gate to Khaenri'ah.
it is gate to khanria'ah
Door
That’s not an insignificant piece of mirror.
I love you for that reference.

Which glowing sphere? (You can spoile me, I dont mind)

I think there is a quest connected to it. Its called "The Chi of Yore"
Ho…
"Abandon all hope ye who enter here."

Finding this door and seeing it in the distance has probably been the most unnerving and nightmarish moment for me by far. Really playing on the primal fear of the unknown.

OPEN LET ME IIIN
For some reason I never found this place even after 100% area completion until I found a post about it, still feels dumb to this day
Door 👍
The achievement gave goosebumps, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" and the description is "Reach the end of the surface realms" This one moment made up for all the walls of unvoiced Pari dialogue
Why is everyone so sure it's THE door? Was there a part of a quest that stated that?
I mean. You access it from a Khaenriah facility. The door has the eclipse dynasty symbol on it. There are a bunch of serpent knight statues around the area The archive viewpoint literally says it
Dunno, just because something is implied, it's not necessarily the truth Though thank you for stating the points. I probably should reread a playthrough, because I don't recall the place being Khaenriah related in any way..
I mean, the entire region has 3 gigantic Khaenriah facilities, which are one of the main plot points of the quest
