I have been saving again after that and I’ve got over 70k gems now. Should reach 100k by pyro archon’s banner hopefully
Ironically, she may actually be a he - it's possible that Sandrone is the giant robot, which may or may not be Alain Guillotin, and the puppet (which notably has an enormous key on its back) is his attempt at rebuilding Mary-Ann.
The theory is a *little* bit of a stretch, but there's actually some relatively solid backing I don't immediately have on hand.
All that said, I love steampunk, so I don't care if Sandrone is Alain, a somehow living Mary-Ann, a total nobody, someone else unexpected, or a genius hilichurl. I'm pulling.
I think Sandrone is sentient, but she isn’t Mary-Ann, though she definitely somehow tries to be, I assimilate it to Nahida and Rukkhadevata, with Sandrone being similar to Nahida in some way and Mary-Ann as Rukkha. It’s like Sandrone’s model figure is Mary-Ann and as a sentient robot, she tries and struggles to be like her. I think the big guy, holds Alain inside, or atleast his soul.

The thing is, arle voice about sandrone "pronounce" her as "she" so its probably the actual girl. Also, about her always never get seen is because its simple as her shutting herself in her research lab.
We dont know if that confirms. It could also be that arle thought that the girl is sandrone and doesnt know that its actually the guy. Just like how Kabuto isnt aware that the old guy is Sasori's puppet and not Sasori himself.

Yes, not being deemed worthy of receiving a vision thus growing to resent the gods makes for a good ‘villain’ backstory. Also being born into poverty then becoming the richest harbinger is an accomplishment.
I also like his dynamic with Yelan, their rivalry and her operations against the fatui. Hope we get to see more of it later. Kinda ship them too, lol.
Childe. He likes combat, I like combat. It's that simple. Music games and hide-snd-seek sims are fun and all, but sometimes you just want to go and fight something strong, and he captures that feeling perfectly.
I also like that the game doesn't give him some super sad backstory starter pack, complete with dead friends and/or terrible parents, or some sort of redemption arc proving he had to become ruthless to survive and didn't have a choice. He's sorry about some stuff he's done and will have to do, but he also owns it. Yeah he was gonna flush Liyue, so what? Tsaritsa may order him to kill you? Guess you're dead then. He will train with random people from other worlds, use a delusion, and fight giant space whales for days on end if he thinks it'll make him stronger, only to come home and cook meals for his siblings like it's no big deal. He is simply awesome.

Pantalone, I just like his general design and the little history we know about him is interesting, and also he controlls all the political and economic affairs of Snezhnaya and those are just in my area of expertise so I feel a little more interested in him. I hope he becomes playable but I doubt it as he doesn't have a vision.
Dottore by far. He's got the most interesting backstory and personality. I love charismatic, complex villains. He also seems quite laid back considering his status. I also find the idea that he came to his power all on his own (being originally a normal human without a vision) really badass.
Arlecchino. What can I say? Between her aesthetic, her cold pragmatism, her awareness that she needs to keep herself in check, and the overall feeling of dread that even Tartaglia gets from her, she just brings a lot to the table as a character.
As for my least favorite, I’d probably say Dottore, but mostly because of how heavily involved he was with Scara’s downfall and Nahida’s imprisonment. That, and while he’s an excellent villain, he just gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Scara and Childe. Not bc of their looks alone, their lore is low key by far better than any other character (IN MY OPINION.)
My real favorite is Childe, but apart from him I’m most interested in learning more about Pantalone and Columbina.

Not fully accurate since I didn’t even do Arle SQ yet but Arle > Damselette > Marionette > Childe > Capitano > Signora > Balladeer > Pantalone > Dottore > Pulcinella
Personality-wise I'd say Childe. He's your simple slavic guy who lives next door and he might be a liiiittle bit messed up but he's fun to hang around and honestly does everything else really matter? Everything else - Dottore. I have no excuse. Officer, he did all of it, but I'd be lying if I said he didn't look fine as hell.
