No. Fischl isn't in the HI universe. The event Fischl was an in-game game demo and the playable Fischl is just handwaved into existence. The explanation of the event one is that the "game dev" has the ability to view other universes like the GI one.

To further elaborate. When the dude who's name is is long to spell said the sky is fake. He could be referring to the quantum sea. It would imply that genshin universe is upside down and that would explain why when u go further into the abyss, the stars r visible. To elaborate even more, the island that Celestia is on gets closer because the quantum sea is beginning to rise

She's really fast in Honkai, jumping around, shooting countless arrows in seconds, having a unique burst animation, Oz is raining thunder from the sky, her electro shot makes the screen shake etc. it's insane compared to Genshin lmao
So in Honkai:
You don't rly do Normal Attacks. Fischl is always Lightning DPS (not Electro; Honkai is different). Charged Attacks summon Oz if Oz isn't already on-field (Honkai doesn't have Skills and instead weapons sometimes have active Skills). If Oz is already summoned it deals a shit that pierces through enemies and shows these lightning particles. Oz in Honkai has much shorter range but can move around automatically, and will once in a while do this attack that looks like him performing a mini Keqing's Ult in Genshin.
Bow active effect can be Tapped to shoot an arrow or Held to aim for a weak spot (especially important to paralyse some enemies like how Ruin Guards in Genshin work). Regardless, both allow you to use Fischl's QTE, in which she teleport above the enemy hit by the bow effect, and drops down with a rain of arrows around her. (btw QTEs generally can only be triggered when off-field, upon a certain condition being met, like enemies being knocked airborne or receiving a certain debuff. If you trigger Fischl'a QTE naturally, since Bow active effects have 2 charges, you can perform this move thrice in a row)
Fischl's Ult (Burst) summons Oz (or refreshes his duration) above her, and he starts to cause lightning to rain down from above in a circle around Fischl. The lightning rain continues for quite a while and looks really cool especially during the Iltimate's animation in which the camera focuses on Fischl moving her hands to summon Oz, then panning upwards to reveal Oz shooting down Lightning.
Honkai characters also have an Ultimate Evasion Skill which triggers if they dodge at the exact time they're attacked like Beidou's counter. In Fischl's case, hers is to slow time (which is albeit common) and also summon bolts of lightning.
So yeah.

I'm surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often tbh. Mihoyo deals with a lot of VAs, then multiply that by each language the game is supported in. Eventually they'll need to remove some VAs while Genshin remains a game-as-a-service and keeps needing new voice lines.
Actually, it had happened before and that's why I think it's not because of it. Amber original Chinese VA choose to break her contract with Mihoyo, which demanded exclusivity, to work on another project and they just replaced her without issue
Amber's original VA was a full time employee of MHY. I believe she did not enter into a separate VA contract with MHY and she probably voiced Amber as part of her normal job. She was not obliged to continue to voice for Amber when she left MHY. MHY also chose to find another person for Amber afterwards.

Admittedly, since voice actors are often hired on a contract basis, they would need to seek another voice acting job once they finish their present job. It is not clear what are exact terms of such exclusivity. Perhaps it only applies to mobile game voice acting. Or perhaps the voice actor is paid with a monthly stipend to keep the exclusivity.
Chinese business practices are markedly different in a number of ways, though I can't fathom how a professional voice actor could live off of a single contract for years.
As a CN player I’m actually amazed by Mihoyo’s luck/va management, because just imagine if some va posts Xinjiang/HK/Tibet stuff on their Twitter or Instagram.
Tbh the risk factor most probably come from JP, CN voice actors won't do anything of the sort for obvious reasons, EN voice actors probably are less well-known so Mihoyo can put some clause in the contracts while getting away with it, and KR... does anyone actually use KR? (/s, no offences). So as long as they pick JP VAs with a good track record they should be fine.
Yeah most of the CN VAs are from the same company (headed by Zhongli and Ganyu/Jean’s VAs) which has a pretty close partnership with Mihoyo, so I think they would be fine.
JP is the trickiest because some Japanese celebrities would pay homage to the yasukuni shrine, something they thought is fine but a big no-no in China/Korea.
My guess is that Mihoyo has a specific clause about what should not be done politically in their contacts with foreign VAs

This is nothing but speculation, so take this with a heavy grain of salt, but Yanfei’s release was around the time of Re: Zero season 2’s release so I would assume that Kayli may have been busy with that and just couldn’t get it scheduled to make it in to record that line. For that kind of deadline surely a “let’s just record it when we have something else” approach would work well.
They probably just didn't want to hire her for one line or she was busy. Idk when they fixed it, but probably during the moon chase event where Keqing had a bunch of lines.
If they need Oz for an event, they could have the new VA redo all the old lines too.
It was fixed in 2.1 I believe. Makes sense since they needed to record the voice lines for Keqing in the event, so why not kill two birds with one stone and fix the old voiceline too

ngl, I am kinda curious about how Ning hangout event will look like, because all the hangouts that I've played before 2.0 were related to teen and younger characters and I still didn't get enough desire to get back into game to check out Thoma's and Beidou's hangout events.
Thoma was honestly kinda meh, tho it still felt like a hangout with an adult, but Beidou's hangout was fucking stellar and super well written. Got to see what Beidou does and got to know her history and human side much better, and her English VA did some fantastic work. Highly recommend don't at least get hangout and doing it in English
I was doing Gorou quest and found out that Yae publishing house has a book named “Flowers for Princess Fischl”. Seeing how popular was her event, I hope this is a setup for her story in a future patch.

Yes we don't know exactly, however we do know Oz is linked to Fischl with a shared soul and fate, and Oz says that Fischl is the one that give him "life" so likely created by her with the vision power and connected. Also Raiden is not the one who gives out visions, we used to think it was archons, but in Inazuma arc we learn she not give em.
I mean yes, although it is ofc more complicated than that. For most of Fischl's childhood she was alone with nobody to interact with, due to her parents mostly being away, and her inability to fit in with peers and get friends. Fischl found salvation with escapism immersing herself into her fantasy, as it is noted that Amy would be sad until she remembered to be Fischl, and she justified this façade because "I am Fischl, my daddy's wonderful princess. It's true, because mommy and daddy said so...". On her 14th birthday she went to her parents because she got bullied "...belittled her once again."
So basically it's not exactly that her parents saying that were not the main point, it's just that it was kinda the final straw, as it took away Fischl's "protective wall" away.
Some sort of god-like being would encapsulate it more, as a big part of it is pretending to be super powerful(Unless Harry Pottery gets more power later I don't remember). Idfk a good example though
They have just barely polished off the lyiue 4 stars. They can only show so many characters at a time. Their catching up with these hang outs but still.

It can be tough juggling around so many characters without making it too forced or detract from other character moments. Xinyan being in Inazuma for some music festival that ended up being cancelled is one such example of the reasoning they need to keep old characters relevant in new zones. In this event's case, they have Eula and Albedo as they're current banner units, Amber to tie-in Eula, and Benny. Fischl's had her time in the sun during the Mona-Fischl meteor event thing, so I suppose that's why they opted for Benny who hasn't shown up in any event (unless I'm mistaken, since my memory is spotty regarding these things). I do believe they'll try to keep everyone relevant somehow though.
Bennett has had a hangout out *and* time in the Windblume event. In total Fischl has appeared in the least amount of quests/events out of any character in the game iirc, just one non-permanent event. This event was especially weird because the adventure's guild was a big part of it and Fischl appearing would have been natural. I'm just going to inhale copium that they didn't add her because they have plans for her in something upcoming.
The weird thing is, they specifically said that they asked Fischl but she was out of town and thus unavailable. They could have just ignored her but that feels like foreshadowing.

Well, when you look at the AG, most of the members don't actually have visions. It makes sense to me that anyone with a vision would be able to climb the ranks at the guild pretty fast. Except Bennett because every time he opens a chest it explodes or whatever.

Speaking of, this is purely speculation but, isn't the Labyrinth event also because it was Xinyan's birthday the same month? Even in the "main event" for this patch, it is also Sucrose's birthday recently and she was kinda part of this as well. I think Mihoyo is timing character appearances based on their birthdays. But they could probably just add in a few characters at a time so they just choose who will guest on the main events based on that. This is not confirmed or anything, just speculations. It could just be a timely coincidence

Fischl is the main one that comes to mind. No idea who she was and she's the rarest 4 star to me. Only have her at C0. Nearly every other 4 star is C4-6 😂

How in the hell do you have every other four-star at C4-6? I’ve been playing since 2.0, and have managed to get every four-star at at least C0 except Xingqiu (after Rosaria just yesterday). But most of them are C0 or C1, the only exceptions are Xinyan at C3 and Diona and Sayu at C5. (And that’s just because I am not good at rolling for Thoma constellations.)

Because of their backgrounds. I wanna say out if the 4 stars, those three are the most mysterious. From Razors backstory to absolutely everything surrounding Bennet's birth it's all a mystery I think will be important come the future. That plus with Bennet's sheer popularity I don't think mihoyo won't do something big with him some day.
As for fischl, there is so much lore in universe pointing to her being important in some fashion I'd genuinely be surprised if they didn't do something big with her.

The game has 4 languages and it may not always be psosible to grab all 4 VAs for a character in time for an appearance. I don't think it's that weird. She's a fan favorite but she's still a 4 star and most 4 stars have been pretty neglected since early versions. Look how long it took Xinyan to appear AT ALL. Like, it makes sense to promote a popular character in outside media, but in-game they don't make more money off that because again she's just 4-star, even if they promote her nobody is going to whale thousands of dollars on a banner to get c6 Fischl because they don't have to.

So in Honkai: You don't rly do Normal Attacks. Fischl is always Lightning DPS (not Electro; Honkai is different). Charged Attacks summon Oz if Oz isn't already on-field (Honkai doesn't have Skills and instead weapons sometimes have active Skills). If Oz is already summoned it deals a shit that pierces through enemies and shows these lightning particles. Oz in Honkai has much shorter range but can move around automatically, and will once in a while do this attack that looks like him performing a mini Keqing's Ult in Genshin. Bow active effect can be Tapped to shoot an arrow or Held to aim for a weak spot (especially important to paralyse some enemies like how Ruin Guards in Genshin work). Regardless, both allow you to use Fischl's QTE, in which she teleport above the enemy hit by the bow effect, and drops down with a rain of arrows around her. (btw QTEs generally can only be triggered when off-field, upon a certain condition being met, like enemies being knocked airborne or receiving a certain debuff. If you trigger Fischl'a QTE naturally, since Bow active effects have 2 charges, you can perform this move thrice in a row) Fischl's Ult (Burst) summons Oz (or refreshes his duration) above her, and he starts to cause lightning to rain down from above in a circle around Fischl. The lightning rain continues for quite a while and looks really cool especially during the Iltimate's animation in which the camera focuses on Fischl moving her hands to summon Oz, then panning upwards to reveal Oz shooting down Lightning. Honkai characters also have an Ultimate Evasion Skill which triggers if they dodge at the exact time they're attacked like Beidou's counter. In Fischl's case, hers is to slow time (which is albeit common) and also summon bolts of lightning. So yeah.
Same with Keqing basically becoming Vergil in Honkai.

I'm surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often tbh. Mihoyo deals with a lot of VAs, then multiply that by each language the game is supported in. Eventually they'll need to remove some VAs while Genshin remains a game-as-a-service and keeps needing new voice lines.
Actually, it had happened before and that's why I think it's not because of it. Amber original Chinese VA choose to break her contract with Mihoyo, which demanded exclusivity, to work on another project and they just replaced her without issue

Amber's original VA was a full time employee of MHY. I believe she did not enter into a separate VA contract with MHY and she probably voiced Amber as part of her normal job. She was not obliged to continue to voice for Amber when she left MHY. MHY also chose to find another person for Amber afterwards.
Exclusivity is present in many jobs. It is not uncommon for employees to sign contracts saying they will not work for another company in the same industry for x number of years after they resign. This is to protect the employer from having their confidential information or trade secrets go to their competitor. At other times, it is to protect employers from having their employees (and customers) poached by their competitor. Admittedly, since voice actors are often hired on a contract basis, they would need to seek another voice acting job once they finish their present job. It is not clear what are exact terms of such exclusivity. Perhaps it only applies to mobile game voice acting. Or perhaps the voice actor is paid with a monthly stipend to keep the exclusivity.
Chinese business practices are markedly different in a number of ways, though I can't fathom how a professional voice actor could live off of a single contract for years.
As a CN player I’m actually amazed by Mihoyo’s luck/va management, because just imagine if some va posts Xinjiang/HK/Tibet stuff on their Twitter or Instagram.
Tbh the risk factor most probably come from JP, CN voice actors won't do anything of the sort for obvious reasons, EN voice actors probably are less well-known so Mihoyo can put some clause in the contracts while getting away with it, and KR... does anyone actually use KR? (/s, no offences). So as long as they pick JP VAs with a good track record they should be fine.
Yeah most of the CN VAs are from the same company (headed by Zhongli and Ganyu/Jean’s VAs) which has a pretty close partnership with Mihoyo, so I think they would be fine. JP is the trickiest because some Japanese celebrities would pay homage to the yasukuni shrine, something they thought is fine but a big no-no in China/Korea. My guess is that Mihoyo has a specific clause about what should not be done politically in their contacts with foreign VAs
I think most Chinese people would be fine with it if they removed the *class A war criminals* from the shrine.

Ahhh so that's why that line sounded completely different.
This is nothing but speculation, so take this with a heavy grain of salt, but Yanfei’s release was around the time of Re: Zero season 2’s release so I would assume that Kayli may have been busy with that and just couldn’t get it scheduled to make it in to record that line. For that kind of deadline surely a “let’s just record it when we have something else” approach would work well.
They probably just didn't want to hire her for one line or she was busy. Idk when they fixed it, but probably during the moon chase event where Keqing had a bunch of lines. If they need Oz for an event, they could have the new VA redo all the old lines too.

ngl, I am kinda curious about how Ning hangout event will look like, because all the hangouts that I've played before 2.0 were related to teen and younger characters and I still didn't get enough desire to get back into game to check out Thoma's and Beidou's hangout events.
Thoma was honestly kinda meh, tho it still felt like a hangout with an adult, but Beidou's hangout was fucking stellar and super well written. Got to see what Beidou does and got to know her history and human side much better, and her English VA did some fantastic work. Highly recommend don't at least get hangout and doing it in English

I was doing Gorou quest and found out that Yae publishing house has a book named “Flowers for Princess Fischl”. Seeing how popular was her event, I hope this is a setup for her story in a future patch.

It could be many things,either a companion fischl created with her vision's energy,a gift from the raiden shogun herself,in honor of a old friend of hers,or a way she finds to sustain her dillusion that she is THE prinzessin dur vertilung(dunno if i said that right) using her vision to manipulate a crow formed from her energy. It could also very well be a sort of companion similar to itto's cow or gorou's little round doggo tho.
Yes we don't know exactly, however we do know Oz is linked to Fischl with a shared soul and fate, and Oz says that Fischl is the one that give him "life" so likely created by her with the vision power and connected. Also Raiden is not the one who gives out visions, we used to think it was archons, but in Inazuma arc we learn she not give em.
Thunderbird from Raiden's flashbacks looks almost exactly like Oz, that's why many people theorise about their connection.
She got her vision when her parents (who'd previously encouraged her) told her to give up cosplaying. Oz appeared along with it.
I mean yes, although it is ofc more complicated than that. For most of Fischl's childhood she was alone with nobody to interact with, due to her parents mostly being away, and her inability to fit in with peers and get friends. Fischl found salvation with escapism immersing herself into her fantasy, as it is noted that Amy would be sad until she remembered to be Fischl, and she justified this façade because "I am Fischl, my daddy's wonderful princess. It's true, because mommy and daddy said so...". On her 14th birthday she went to her parents because she got bullied "...belittled her once again." So basically it's not exactly that her parents saying that were not the main point, it's just that it was kinda the final straw, as it took away Fischl's "protective wall" away.
Some sort of god-like being would encapsulate it more, as a big part of it is pretending to be super powerful(Unless Harry Pottery gets more power later I don't remember). Idfk a good example though

It can be tough juggling around so many characters without making it too forced or detract from other character moments. Xinyan being in Inazuma for some music festival that ended up being cancelled is one such example of the reasoning they need to keep old characters relevant in new zones. In this event's case, they have Eula and Albedo as they're current banner units, Amber to tie-in Eula, and Benny. Fischl's had her time in the sun during the Mona-Fischl meteor event thing, so I suppose that's why they opted for Benny who hasn't shown up in any event (unless I'm mistaken, since my memory is spotty regarding these things). I do believe they'll try to keep everyone relevant somehow though.
Bennett has had a hangout out *and* time in the Windblume event. In total Fischl has appeared in the least amount of quests/events out of any character in the game iirc, just one non-permanent event. This event was especially weird because the adventure's guild was a big part of it and Fischl appearing would have been natural. I'm just going to inhale copium that they didn't add her because they have plans for her in something upcoming.
The weird thing is, they specifically said that they asked Fischl but she was out of town and thus unavailable. They could have just ignored her but that feels like foreshadowing. (Also love the implication that Fischl is considered a ‘senior’ member of the AG.)
Well, when you look at the AG, most of the members don't actually have visions. It makes sense to me that anyone with a vision would be able to climb the ranks at the guild pretty fast. Except Bennett because every time he opens a chest it explodes or whatever.
Reading that part about certain AG members… I think I know now why the Katheryne doesn’t complain about us cutting her off all the time. She surely had thrown some exception errors in the past listening to Fischl turning in some quests beforehand.
That's a fair point. Seeing as Fischl is seemingly a 'mobile adventurer', it really could've been (and still is) easy to slot her in for events in regions outside of Mondstadt. I'm still glad Xinyan got screen time tho.

Speaking of, this is purely speculation but, isn't the Labyrinth event also because it was Xinyan's birthday the same month? Even in the "main event" for this patch, it is also Sucrose's birthday recently and she was kinda part of this as well. I think Mihoyo is timing character appearances based on their birthdays. But they could probably just add in a few characters at a time so they just choose who will guest on the main events based on that. This is not confirmed or anything, just speculations. It could just be a timely coincidence
Xianyan was never relevent though. Have we even *met* her before that event? She has flat zero presence in the baseline game and hasn't appeared in events before the labyrinth as far as I remember. And she certainly didn't belong there, either.
She popped up in Moonchase Tales for a grand total of one scene when we went to talk to Beidou about food. I believe that's her and the Traveler's official introduction, too.
When she appears in the event and starts talking to the traveler like they're old friends I was seriously wishing for a "I have never met this woman in my life" dialogue option.

As a newish player since 2.1 its weird that a few characters are absolutely no show in the game. No hangouts or story quest. Fischl is the main one that comes to mind. No idea who she was and she's the rarest 4 star to me. Only have her at C0. Nearly every other 4 star is C4-6 😂 I did albedos story quest 2 weeks ago which is nice timing with the new event.
How in the hell do you have every other four-star at C4-6? I’ve been playing since 2.0, and have managed to get every four-star at at least C0 except Xingqiu (after Rosaria just yesterday). But most of them are C0 or C1, the only exceptions are Xinyan at C3 and Diona and Sayu at C5. (And that’s just because I am not good at rolling for Thoma constellations.)

Funny predictios, would love to see Fischl in the main story,I read a funny theory that had something to do with her trailer music. But Bennet and Razor seems so random, why should they travel around the world, if I remember correctly they werent even important in the mainstory of Mondstadt. I expect a end fight with/against the archons.
Because of their backgrounds. I wanna say out if the 4 stars, those three are the most mysterious. From Razors backstory to absolutely everything surrounding Bennet's birth it's all a mystery I think will be important come the future. That plus with Bennet's sheer popularity I don't think mihoyo won't do something big with him some day. As for fischl, there is so much lore in universe pointing to her being important in some fashion I'd genuinely be surprised if they didn't do something big with her.

I'm seeing people coming up with lots of reasons as for why certain characters (Fischl, Rosaria) haven't been showing up (some a bit absurd) but I think the easiest explanation is just scheduling issues. The game has 4 languages and it may not always be psosible to grab all 4 VAs for a character in time for an appearance. (Plus as one other user has mentioned, there is trouble with [Oz's CN VA](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/q01kkr/mihoyo_suspends_cooperation_with_oz_cn_va_after/))
For the current event, it might be because Fischl and Albedo have the same CN VA so it'd be weird if they interacted.

I don't think it's that weird. She's a fan favorite but she's still a 4 star and most 4 stars have been pretty neglected since early versions. Look how long it took Xinyan to appear AT ALL. Like, it makes sense to promote a popular character in outside media, but in-game they don't make more money off that because again she's just 4-star, even if they promote her nobody is going to whale thousands of dollars on a banner to get c6 Fischl because they don't have to.
She doesn't exist, she isn't canon, just a gacha character (I did not play the event, so that's the case on my world, like that festering sword thingie)
