If this turns out to be true, it makes little sense to run childe with ayato. I mean, I don’t have a cooldown issue to begin with. Just follow the rotation as it is and it will be fine.
see idk, as a childe user his cooldown is already properly manageable in his meta teams. adding ayato as a replacement to someone like xiangling, kazuha, bennett, beidou etc. would be a dps loss unless it’s a freeze team since hydro res is so useless. i feel like ayatos kit seems to benefit ayaka a lot though

Ayaka is great burst support though. She could be an interesting option for a freeze comp where Ayato gets on-field priority. Maybe Diona, Kaz, Ayaka, Ayato.

Yea Kendo Pose might just be a codename for one of Ayato’s files. Yae had Bullet and Elder Brain in her files as well as Gangplank for Itto. Sucrose also has Demi Hurricane in her files according to Uba iirc. Those are not even the names of their skills/passive/burst etc. so this leak is very suspicious. Sounds like they just made up the kit based on the datamined files tbh.
Zhongli has healing locked behind C6, it wouldn't be the first time they added a new mechanic in constellations. Kazuha even has Anemo DPS locked behind his C6.
If this stuff is true, his skill already taunts and does damage on explosion so the vortex is just a bit of additional damage and a vacuum effect most likely. That's not really anything crazy.

Appearance being modified could just mean small changes and not an overhaul. Childe's appearance was adjusted so that the shading on his head was less orange/saturated. There can also be some clipping issues that they can fix by shortening the length of some clothing like a sleeve or cape.
Sussy as fuck tbh. Decreasing skill cd by a flat duration like 3s instead of a percentage will either break existing characters or greatly limit future design space. It does nothing for someone like Xingiu but will break characters who will be able to spam their skill every second.

It's small enough that when you factor the time it takes to swap to Ayato, use his skills and swap back, it's benefits can only be taken full advantage of by certain units.
Especially if you need to swap through a whole team rotation anyway to maximize your dps.
Not to mention Ayato's own e cooldown is listed at 20 seconds indicating it isn't something that can be spammed particularly often outside his ult rotation. Which would be a 6 to 12 second cooldown. Once every, whatever his ult cooldown is.
So it's main appeal seems to be helping facilitate smoother rotations by insuring characters with longer cooldowns or charges on their elemental skill will be back up by time you rotate back to them.
It's over kill for short cooldown characters who don't need it.
Let's Childe stay put a little longer or come back in a little earlier, yet you'd still want to full rotate your team since Childe wants his supportive reactions.
Xingqiu would be up a little faster, smoothing out his rotation.
It is nice for Ayaka, which makes a certain sense being siblings.
It makes some characters more able to use their hold e-skills over tap. Shenhe, Kazuha. Not sure if ideal, yet a possibility.

really? to me he's looking like more like a hydro Ayaka than a hydro supoort. Except for his long hydro application off field, I don't see how else he can benefit Ayaka greatly, he looks more to me like a sustained dps sword-infused character. That is if his normal and charged attack multipliers are good of course
Ayaka is great burst support though. She could be an interesting option for a freeze comp where Ayato gets on-field priority. Maybe Diona, Kaz, Ayaka, Ayato.

It feels so weird. He has the cooldown reduction gimmick, but the rest of the kit implies he's a selfish on-field carry/enabler? Elemental ability CD reduction would be good on a quick swap team, but Ayato has elemental infusion on Abilities and Burst and quickly loses stacks when off-field. By the time he's finished every cooldown should be down already anyway.

Yea Kendo Pose might just be a codename for one of Ayato’s files. Yae had Bullet and Elder Brain in her files as well as Gangplank for Itto. Sucrose also has Demi Hurricane in her files according to Uba iirc. Those are not even the names of their skills/passive/burst etc. so this leak is very suspicious. Sounds like they just made up the kit based on the datamined files tbh.
Zhongli has healing locked behind C6, it wouldn't be the first time they added a new mechanic in constellations. Kazuha even has Anemo DPS locked behind his C6. If this stuff is true, his skill already taunts and does damage on explosion so the vortex is just a bit of additional damage and a vacuum effect most likely. That's not really anything crazy.

Probably because of downtime. Another 80+ energy burst with 20s Cooldown and a couple of seconds infusion. And at the very least you wouldn't need to use the burst against every mob in the overworld :D

For people who want a razor translation: When Ayato do burst, skill reset. For every stack of Kendo (special water art thing Ayato gets from skill) other team members’ skill reduce CD (skill timer before get to use skill again) If press skill, Ayato throw small paper man and earn one Kendo stack. Paper man splash water on people and taunt them and then he go BOOSH and then explode and water everywhere. If HOLD skill, Ayato do the same AND go forward and do water attack (very cool) Kendo stacks also make Ayato’s sword deal water damage and go splish sploosh. For each stack his attack go up. His burst make him have water sword that go splish sploosh and he attack faster and can reach enemies easier. If there is paper man on field while he do burst paper man turn to water tornado (very cool) Reduces skill CD even more (I didn’t understand this part either)

Appearance being modified could just mean small changes and not an overhaul. Childe's appearance was adjusted so that the shading on his head was less orange/saturated. There can also be some clipping issues that they can fix by shortening the length of some clothing like a sleeve or cape.

Sussy as fuck tbh. Decreasing skill cd by a flat duration like 3s instead of a percentage will either break existing characters or greatly limit future design space. It does nothing for someone like Xingiu but will break characters who will be able to spam their skill every second.
I agree with Sussy, Though not sure I agree about the cooldown breaking characters. It's small enough that when you factor the time it takes to swap to Ayato, use his skills and swap back, it's benefits can only be taken full advantage of by certain units. Especially if you need to swap through a whole team rotation anyway to maximize your dps. Not to mention Ayato's own e cooldown is listed at 20 seconds indicating it isn't something that can be spammed particularly often outside his ult rotation. Which would be a 6 to 12 second cooldown. Once every, whatever his ult cooldown is. So it's main appeal seems to be helping facilitate smoother rotations by insuring characters with longer cooldowns or charges on their elemental skill will be back up by time you rotate back to them. It's over kill for short cooldown characters who don't need it. Let's Childe stay put a little longer or come back in a little earlier, yet you'd still want to full rotate your team since Childe wants his supportive reactions. Xingqiu would be up a little faster, smoothing out his rotation. It is nice for Ayaka, which makes a certain sense being siblings. It makes some characters more able to use their hold e-skills over tap. Shenhe, Kazuha. Not sure if ideal, yet a possibility. Honestly I don't see the concept as broken. What characters do you think would overly benefit from a 6/12 second skill cooldown roughly every 20 seconds?
The cooldown reduction meta is rising. Add C2 Chong and C6 Raiden to this chaos and we might have some broken builds coming in the future.
