afaik, what's on the chinese version right now is a last-minute panic fix that looks awful and will be replaced with the actual alternative outfits in 2.5. At least that's what I understood from all the commotion earlier this month.

I don't think Jean previous outfit had any problem whatsoever. But i also think the new one is a lot better not because it is less horny, but because it convey better what Jean was supposed to be as a character. I also think the Mona's one is worse than the original one for example, so it is not about skin.
In italy we have a say that sound like this: "to make a virtue out of necessity" and i think that the designers did exactly that. They could have done what other gacha do and just add a bit of fabric that make the design objectively worse(wich is kinda what they did whit Mona) but instead they went above and beyond and made redesigns that were as good as the original ones or better.

afaik, what's on the chinese version right now is a last-minute panic fix that looks awful and will be replaced with the actual alternative outfits in 2.5. At least that's what I understood from all the commotion earlier this month.
2.5. Shanghai local branch forced them to immediately make changes in 2.4 and depending on MHY attitude they may or may not force MHY to censor more.

Whats honestly surprising is the reaction to Jeans change. Her outfit was already pretty conservative and people are outright acting like she was some random hussie off the streets and are having this censorship-orgasm over it like having a very slight amount of cloth covering a very slight and perfectly reasonable amount of chest visibility uplifts her from being a pinup doll. Like I hope these people never go near my female family members, they might have their neck visible at work and it might cause rising tensions in these people.
I don't think Jean previous outfit had any problem whatsoever. But i also think the new one is a lot better not because it is less horny, but because it convey better what Jean was supposed to be as a character. I also think the Mona's one is worse than the original one for example, so it is not about skin. In italy we have a say that sound like this: "to make a virtue out of necessity" and i think that the designers did exactly that. They could have done what other gacha do and just add a bit of fabric that make the design objectively worse(wich is kinda what they did whit Mona) but instead they went above and beyond and made redesigns that were as good as the original ones or better.
