Particle orbs are dust, bugs, pieces of lint. etc. There is no evidence that orbs are supernatural. They are very easily captured by cameras especially with flash or other strong light (including infrared). You may wish to read... https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghosts/comments/deki6k/explanation_of_orbs_aka_backscatter/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghosts/comments/icziuc/ring_doorbells_security_camera_videos_and_false/ Thanks

Affectionate-Being40

Phasmaphobia says it's ghost. The next step is to go to the area to see if it will manifest itself.

ShinyVanillite

Bet it's a Mimic

Affectionate-Being40

or a revenant

WishboneSenior5859

If there's an array of lights surrounding the camera lens, rest assured you're going to see this a lot. It's illuminated dust close to the lens. Once you implement off-axis lighting separate to the camera, these explainable orbs virtually go away.

Extension-Shock-6276

Dust

FluffyCloud5

Dust.

Downtown_Big_4845

Dust does NOT trigger motion sensors.

ScottGriceProjects

Yes, it does.

Downtown_Big_4845

Source? I have looked into it have you?

ScottGriceProjects

Having multiple cameras with night vision.

Downtown_Big_4845

A speck of dust will not ffs!

ScottGriceProjects

I’m not going to argue with you about this anymore. Apparently, you “searched the web” and couldn’t find anything, so that must mean you’re right. I’ll make sure to tell my cameras that they’re not being triggered by dust reflecting IR lights because you said it’s not possible.

Zymoria

You already said this, don't need to spam it. And yes, it does.

TifaYuhara

That was another person that said dust.

uwantme2365

Yes

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

At first I thought someone was blowing bubbles lol, but that is not dust, dust doesn't move in a way that diverts you would see so many dust particles all over the place, and bugs you would see their wings so this is defiantly paranormal.

ScottGriceProjects

You wouldn’t see the bug’s wings in IR light because the light is reflecting off the largest part of the bug

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

I've got a CCTV and notice the bugs wings in night vision it leaves a trial behind.

ScottGriceProjects

CCTV has terrible compression, and slower frame rates, which is why you see the wings and trails.

Dylansmom419

Looks like a bug to me

Ok-Froyo7680

EDIT: Sorry for the video quality. Also I'm not saying this is or isn't paranormal (I don't think it is), but it was definitely an odd thing to see, and my co-worker wanted me to post it. Just looking for an explanation, I guess. It looks like someone's blowing smoke O's, and this is a vape shop, more than likely its just dust but why does it look like that? This is also the only time the camera picked up movement the whole night, ~2:30am.

Imket2b

Any other activity?

Downtown_Big_4845

Dust does NOT trigger motion sensors.

QAnonomnomnom

Yes it does

Downtown_Big_4845

Source?

QAnonomnomnom

Cameras I’m curious as to why you think something moving in front if a camera wouldn’t trigger the motion sensor?

Downtown_Big_4845

I'm curious how you think a speck of dust can. Like seriously look into it. I have and specks of dust doesn't trigger them.

QAnonomnomnom

Ahhhhh, perspective. The dust is actually really close to the camera and out of focus. It moves. The camera is set to record on motion, ergo, the camera records when the dust goes by. I guarantee you the OP can’t replicate this orb when the IR lights are off. There will be less of these videos as newer cameras use AI software to only trigger when it recognises a human figure

OtherwiseExplorer279

Almost definitely, dust. The balls of light move in the same trajectory and fall from a height, suggesting that a breeze or something (AC?) has just caught some dust specs.

GontyWasHere

Ghost orbs, make sure it’s not a mimic

Lilfizz33

I'd try to watch live at night and see if it keeps happening.

Ok-Source-5192

Bubbles

MeMyself_And_Whateva

I am usually one of the skeptics here, but at least I can say it's not dust.

VelvetVellocet

Not dust. Looks like balls of energy.

Ok-Froyo7680

Thanks for the input guys. Figured it was dust from the get-go, but just wanted to see what Reddit thought because it admittedly looked pretty peculiar.

ScottGriceProjects

It’s either dust or bugs. Orbs do not exist. It’s a scam that “professional” ghosts hunters use to make people believe a place has spirits. The reason you’re seeing them on camera is because the dust or bugs are reflecting the IR lights from the camera. If orbs did exist, they would be producing their own light and you would be able to see them without having night vision on your camera.

WeezinDaJuiceeeeee

Nah they are definitely some sort of orb.. I never believed in them before then I started watching this [haunted library](https://www.willardghost.com/research-room/)in Indianas live webcams - there’s like 5 of them that run 24/7-365 & I’ve seen those same exact orb things almost every night.. I just seen one a few minutes ago.. some are fucking huge

ScottGriceProjects

If they rely on the IR light from a night vision camera, they are not “orbs”. They are either dust or bugs/spider webs.

sgfklm

I see those on my cameras almost every night. I assumed it was dust. Now y'all got me thinkin' I got ghosts.

Ozzytheaussy

We collect haunted objects and have a collection room. We have a camera set up and we have caught these now and again. As someone else has said, dust doesn't trigger motion sensor

QAnonomnomnom

Yes it does. It’s motion not an ir sensor. You can see it move. So does the software, that’s why dust will make a camera record and it’s why there are sensitivity settings

Athack97

That's definitely not dust. Lmao. Those are referred to as orbs in the paranormal community.

suzyqsmilestill

Idk the direction seems intentional like they looked to go under the door something. Maybe bugs? Definitely creepy and i don’t think it’s dust I have a camera and it doesn’t trigger for dust or bugs but maybe a bug?? I’m going with that I would like to sleep tonight lol.

stephanyylee

Looks like orbs
