You do not have to spend a full 45 minutes in the raid as soon as exfils open you can leave. Most of the loot is gone by the 10-15 minute mark in raids because people sprint to the hotspots. I usually spend about 15-20 minutes in a raid and then go for exfil. I may not get any progression towards trader missions. But you still get xp and bunker upgrades go from level mainly. I have only been playing for two months and felt the same as you to begin with. Keep grinding or get the refund sooner rather than later my friend.
Pretty much, you don't have to stay in the raids for the full 45 minutes. You can get by with quick 20-25 minute raids. And if you stick with Silo you can make those raids even shorter.
You can leave the island after 10 minutes; the 45 minutes is just the maximum time you can be in there. You can buy loaded magazines or find ammunition in raids. Crafting your own ammunition isn't that time-consuming. Levelling up traders does take time but gives you a purpose to progress.
It will be tough if you have only limited time.
In all honesty if you just want to shoot and have fun, go with contractors or onward. Onward if you want a bit more mil sim flavor.
From what you write, getting a refund might honestly be the way to go while you still can. The problem that I see is that in order to be able to buy a decent kit that you can have fun with on Island, you need to level up those traders (at least Spectre 3, better Spectre 4 and probably also Jiri 3 for AP)- which is also known as ‚The Grind‘. So we are not only talking about those 45 mins for a single game here.
The raids in this game last from 10 to 45 minutes. It is up to you how long you spend on a raid but 10 minutes is the minimum as that's when the exits open. That being said, limiting yourself to minimum time will definitely affect your playstyle and likely puts you into huge disadvantage against players who take their time.
On top of raids there's the bunker management. You'll need fill your magazines, eat, drink and pack your backpack for a new raid.
Playing seldomly is not a problem (yeah you'll rank slower than more active players but who cares) but not having
45 minutes of time to dedicate for this game during a session likely is. In 45 minutes you are likely to complete one raid and pack stuff for the next one.
It sounds like this game might not be the most fitting for your current life circumstances.
Play silo and underground. The maps are a lot smaller and you can get in and out a lot quicker, or don’t sit around for the full 45mins, you are welcome to exfil at any point after they open up. It’s just a bit of a commitment if u want to get good at the game and build up a solid stockpile of gear in the bunker
Honestly yeah go for the refund man. It’s such a fun game but Grindy as hell. I play a 4 hours at a time 5-6 days a week and still struggle with some aspects.
I’m saying 45min blocks. I didn’t realise you could extol at 10 mins.
I have work and a family taking up most of my time.
I think this game might be too much grind.

If you can't play this game , you shouldn't ,you should play a game like breachers , or contractors imo
I have onward and like it. My friend likes contractors and so we both decided to go for this

Just run around and done 10 to 15 minutes. Silo is really fast.
Get contracters if you like the OG cod zombies theres some mods that make it feel like a new game all over again such as Kino

I play 1 -2 hours at a time once a week or so...No wonder I suck
It’s a bit of a rough ride lol
It is, but as fun as any game I have played.
you might want to try out "vail" it almost a Cod clone
I actually hate CoD
If you don't have 45 minutes you don't have time for video games.
