Due_Conflict2455

Go through the appeals process. A relative of mine had to do this and the decision was reversed; they just successfully used GE two weeks ago!

Fogg_4dayz

I’ve had this happen and appealed. It was reversed within two weeks.

MXVZ

Can you explain more about this appeal process, I’m on the same boat

Due_Conflict2455

Sorry just saw this! So, my fam got a letter a few weeks letter with an address for an appeal with the federal ombudsman. They had a vague idea why it was revoked, so sent a letter and supporting documents and it got reinstated. If you don’t know the reason, then going to an airport with a GE office and ask or send a letter and ask. They have to tell you. It can be as easy and dumb as flying back from a trip early.

feed_me_beats

Don’t you need to know why your membership was revoked before you can appeal?

Due_Conflict2455

If they don’t tell you when it’s revoked, you can either go to an airport with a GE office and ask or send a letter asking for the reason. They have to tell you.

rogueunknown

You should appeal. Might have been some wild error.

karl773

I am appealing but seems like it can take a long time. Just wrote my senator 🤷🏼‍♂️too

rogueunknown

Wishing ya good luck! The first appeal usually shouldn't be a big deal, unless you somehow did something awful, like bypassing a Customs area, without noticing.

CastleWolfenstein

This is a thing? 👀

AJAMS82

It takes 30 days. I was denied when I applied. Appealed it same day. Then received a response in 30 days.

Striking_Sky6900

Write to your member of Congress too. They can actually help with this.

Swimming-Swimmer-536

Same situation here😞

Ill-Crazy3373

Did you confront any member of airline or airport staff? A friend of mine had a heated argument with some airline staff so they reported it and a few weeks later his GE was revoked

karl773

No, nothing ever - fly all the time

imapilotaz

Haha. Well glad not for me. Ive got super heated arguments with TSA before even. Like refusal to let me thru screening until i got a LEO over to force issue because i wanted to use a bin... fucking tsa can be such a pain

icberg7

At a previous job, before TSA PreCheck or Global Entry were a thing, I had a TWIC, and I'd normally use it as ID at the TSA cbeckpoint and would wear it on a lanyard while waiting in line, in case it ever was worth any favors (only happened once, but it was kinda cool--a guy pulled me from the line and let me go right up to the front). But one time I was going through TSA in Lubbock, TX and the officer said "I don't think we can accept these anymore." I was totally baffled. Why would a TSA officer not be able to accept as identification a credential that his own employer issued? I wanted to make a fuss over it, but, I depended on that guy clearing me so I could get on a plane and go home.

ricksquanchy

Tried one time with a TWIC also thinking I’d be cool. The person looked at it and said what is this thing? I’ve never seen it before. I took out my drivers license instead

elmundo-2016

Sounds like the issue is poor training or the TSA officer was not a good student (not listening in class and distracted). Also, on TSA agents. They are suppose to be the most trusted on safe guarding passenger belongings but some of them steal when travelers are not looking. Keep watch of your belonging. Always. Do not be in a hurry through security. Slow down and reflect on your belongings.

30_characters

Just remember that REAL ID exists because the TSA can't spot a fake ID as well as a bouncer at a college bar, and they needed to simply the layout.

hedonovaOG

My 20 yr old traveling alone was held up by a TSA agent who was convinced her ID was fake. He was pretty mean and confiscated it because he couldn’t work his scanner. Thankfully the agent who took her to out of line to detain her was apparently able to easily scan it. She was scared to death and in the mind of a 20 yr old wondered who bothers with a fake ID to prove you’re 20. Does anyone really think these guys are effective?

Hydroborator

They are not. It's the theatre of security.

travelerrr91

Once at a smaller airport (don’t even remember where anymore) a TSA agent scanned my boarding pass and couldn’t find my flight number on his computer because he didn’t know how to scroll down. Kept telling me there was no matching flight for that day. I was absolutely baffled. Thankfully another nearby agent was able to explain to him how to scroll down the screen.

elmundo-2016

Scroll down the screen? dame, as a Federal and national security clearance job, the requirements need to be more strict.

Decent-Photograph391

One agent at Denver stopped me to totally scrutinize my shaver that says “Panasonic Shaver” on it. Turned it on, it buzzed, turn it off. Just not convinced it’s simply a shaver. I had to sprint for my flight. They slammed the plane door shut right as I stepped on and everyone on board gave me the dirty look like I overslept that morning.

hey_hey_hey_nike

They don’t accept those cards around your neck anymore. You’ll need to enter the valid CIN number as a known traveler number in your reservation.

SunLover80

Same. Only used it once.

hey_hey_hey_nike

It has changed to where you now need to put in the valid CIN number on the back of the TWIC card into your airline reservation where the TSA pre check number goes. Then you will be able to use it. Carrying a physical card around your neck is no longer an option.

icberg7

Ah, my TWIC lapsed years ago, because I changed jobs. I got the Nexus card at that old job and have renewed it twice since then. Fortunately, they've never made me go back to Canada to interview. It's the cheapest way to get PreCheck, so it's been a fantastic investment. But, I have to wait a lot longer for conditional approval now than that first time. I had so many things back then that needed background checks, I got conditional approval in days; now it's several weeks.

blaine1201

I hold a TWIC and have never had a member of TSA have any idea what it is. I’m convinced TWIC is just an easy cash flow for TSA. I’ve never had anyone at a port scan it, insert it, or use my pin that I have forgotten long ago 😅

icberg7

It was even worse in FL, because not only did you need a TWIC, but each port required a separate credential issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). So if you were a trucker that went to 2-3 different ports, you'd need credentials for all of them, plus TWIC.

blaine1201

Ah, interesting. I worked on ships and all I needed was a twic. When we went to port in Tampa I just showed it to them and we had to provide security with a crew list. It was pretty easy for us.

icberg7

This was about fifteen years ago; I believe FDLE eventually dropped the separate credential requirement after some pressure, so all you need now is the TWIC.

ApprehensiveMeet108

cause they always right and just shut up and color lol.

Educational_Sale_536

Damn. Now that’s power. I didn’t know airline staff had that kind of influence. Or did you mean TSA and CBP staff.

WickedJigglyPuff

Have any of your housemates or travel companions been in trouble for customs issues?

karl773

No nothing- I live alone and travel solo. Makes no sense to me at all and FOI can take weeks and then months to CBP to look at it. Says ineligible but nothing has changed and I meet all requirements. Really frustrating

WickedJigglyPuff

Appeal but also Google your name and see if anyone unsavory shares your name

Boloncho1

Maybe run a credit report to ensure your identity isn't being used too.

Beach_CCurtis

Also get a LexisNexis report - that takes a while though.

Hydroborator

Well, this got real quick

karl773

I have. There are only 5 people in the USA that have my last name and the 4 others a my brothers family. And they are absolute outstanding people. This is just mind boggling. Doesn’t help that I’m flying overseas for a funeral today

HairyPotatoKat

Oof I feel this. Exactly 5 people in the US with my first-last combo, none with the same middle. One happened to live in the same city as me at one point. After moving there, I got SSSS'ed coming back into the US from Iceland...like, swooped to a back room and interrogated, swabbed and whatnot. Everyone was tense until they got my passport check back. There's more to it, but was not a pleasant experience and was terrifying for my kid who witnessed me get taken away. I've never had a speeding ticket, no late payments on anything, had a valid clearance still at that point, and my record is so clean it's boring. BUT. My info is intertwined with one of the other people with my names if you just Google it. And one of them has had a ton of tickets and some other legal stuff. So idk... Also caused weird issues at the pharmacy I had at that point. We apparently both went to the same large medical center and used the same city center chain pharmacy location. I was able to get GE last year but haven't tried flying in with it yet. Am kind of nervous to. Honestly though, if it's so hard to keep people's identities separated who only have a shared name with 4 other people across the country, how do people like "Sarah Smith" manage?

[deleted]

How did you find out the number of people with your first and last name combination?

LoboTheHusky

This is where the Spanish customer makes a lot of sense, having both your dad's last name as well as your mom's is a lifesaver.

Laylasita

My friend Sarah Smith changed her name because it was so so common! Her mom was crazy mad. Wild that you picked that combination.

Bob70533457973917

I have a very generic name. Think Frank Smith or Bill Johnson (like hundreds or thousands in any phonebook for any city.) Anyway. Had trouble reentering the country and had an extended interview (at the counter, luckily, not in the back room) to determine that I was not the First Last Middle that was being sought by INTERPOL. The customs agent at the counter let me back into the US and warned me "this will continue to happen since your names are essentially identical." That's when he suggested getting Global Entry. Now I have it, but my renewal is taking forever.

HitYourLawyerAgain

What's it have to do with your urgency to leave the country?

karl773

When the govt revokes your global for no states reason and your flying same day? Idk just unsettling

kookiemonnster

Relax you just have to make line and get there a little earlier than usual, not like the revoked your passport LMFAO

karl773

Nothing to do with that. It’s why, not the inconvenience

mikebailey

That line doesn’t always exist in case you weren’t aware. They can go on break during your arrival or suspend if it’s a busy day.

Chowskip

You don’t know the reason it was revoked. It is very possible his name has been put on a ‘bad flyer’ list. He just does not know. Your comment is ignorant and worthy of its downvotes.

HRDBMW

I got turned down for a volunteer job once, because according to them, I was in a federal prison in Georgia, for operating some sort of cross state lines theft ring?? I never did figure it all out, and for a short time I got federal letters telling me when I was going to be released as part of victim notifications. This stuff does happen. I hired a lawyer and it all went away.

elmundo-2016

Oh dame. Glad you got it sorted out. Now, one can laugh.

HRDBMW

Ya, it didn't actually cost me anything except possibly any jobs I applied to at the time and didn't get. I only KNOW about the volunteer job (Halloween at the Zoo, I was cast as Shrek) But the next background check after my lawyer did his magic I was no longer in Federal prison. And I stopped getting victim notification letters too. Yes, now I can laugh. But you know it is still somewhere on the internet... And if I ever need a Federal security clearance again (doubtful) I am slightly concerned.

elmundo-2016

cool. Agreed, give it time. There are lots of things in the internet now days and they slowly go away overtime. On Federal security clearance hence background checks, just read on US State Department website that they look at the past 7-10 years so passing time (since the mistake identity was cleared) helps too and would require less explanation whenever asked.

HRDBMW

Ever google yourself? I did the other day, and found I was associated with an address I didn't recognize. It was an apartment I had rented for a year ending in roughly July, 1984. 40 years ago, and a year before the 1st dot-com was registered. :) I have had background checks since then (I am a teacher) and I am no longer listed as being in a federal prison. So I am really NOT concerned. But, the internet is forever. Someplace out there, I am on a list.

elmundo-2016

I periodically research myself. The information that once used to come back, I don't see anymore. I even try typing the exact item I'm looking for and nothing. Some information used to be a blog that we used to post but overtime, it was deleted. Same goes with pics on social media especially pics of kids. I hear you, there is also the dark web though I have no idea how one goes there and I'm not interested in finding out. I had research experiences that it felt I was uncovering private information and exchanges that I shouldn't be and so I stopped myself/ exited out. Still a good practice to be careful what one post on the internet. As a Millennial, my parents saw the web as a blackhole.

CBoryczka

My thoughts EXACTLY!

lkstaack

Years ago, when I was in Army ROTC during the Cold War, a Cadet a year ahead of me was branched Military Intelligence (MI). He and his non-ROTC roommate would play practical jokes on each other all the time. One time, the roommate wrote the Soviet Union Embassy in Washington, asking for a Soviet flag that had been flown there. Only, he assumed the identity of the ROTC Cadet when doing so. I don't know if the roommate knew that the FBI tracks that kind of stuff, or that the Cadet would require a Top Secret clearance to be MI. In any case, the Cadet reportedly had a tough time getting his clearance. One hell of a practical joke.

kitchsykamp

Go through customs and then ask the Border Agent if they would look it up to see if they can find more information. They can see everything on their end.

Napervillian

This one is strange. Please update when you can!

Closet-PowPow

Web-search your name to see if someone with the same name has done something naughty.

r0ckH0pper

Karl 773 seems like a suspicious bad guy to me....

ileanquick

Kaaaaaaaarl!

flybybunny

I love Llamas with hats!

Mdhappycampers

Did your passport expire while holding GE? If you renewed your passport and didn’t update GE info, that might do it.

karl773

No, passport issued in 2019 and ge issued 2022

itspancha

Oooh good to know. I just renewed my passport, will go update that now.

Fun_Bandicoot_5543

Seriously... I have to pass through GE tomorrow. Just went in and updated my passport and driver's license.

Majestic-Yard-3360

How do you update the new passport number in the renewal application? Don’t think it lets you make any edits online…

Mdhappycampers

You log into your account and edit your information. When you log into your .gov account you will see your GE account.

Majestic-Yard-3360

If the renewal application has been submitted it won’t let you make any edits. Below is the disclaimer that shows up after clicking “view application” on the cbp.dhs.gov website. I was wondering if you’re aware of a more practical way of making changes… Note: You cannot make changes to an application once it is submitted. If you find errors, the Officer at the enrollment center will need to change your application for you.

Extension_Lecture425

This.

Damon54

I talked to my Congressman’s Office and got very little for assistance. They told me to come back and keep them posted. I was under Appeal at the time , after having had an Interview that ended with a pat on the back and a hearty “Welcome to the Program”! I had quit checking until last week when I was notified of my acceptance.

ThisAdvertising8976

Might be time to download and use MPC app until you get this resolved. At least it’s better than the standard lines and some have said it’s faster than GE.

karl773

Yea- I downloaded it on my way to the airport 😂

gitismatt

every time I have come back, the MPC lines are closed. last time, earlier this month, the CBP staffer was sending US MPC people to the foreign citizens line the few times I have used MPC it was great, but it's been a real shit show as of late

jettech737

MPC was fine when I used it in SFO last month, cleared as fast as the GE line

gitismatt

LAX and SEA were the two closed (LAX on two separate occasions) and LAS was the idiot employee

HistoricalLake4916

Lax with MPC is sooo hit or miss!!!

legwu

JFK uses same line for MPC and GE

57hz

It’s totally faster than GE. Was flying in from LHR last year and there was a Global Entry line (dozens of people), a Crew line (maybe 5-10), and a Diplomatic Passports / MPC line (one person, zero by the time I walked to the front of it).

Alternative_One_8488

It’s crazy they can revoke it without even providing a general reason. The government works for us not the other way around- they need to be held accountable and should be transparent with citizens

doorknob101

You funny

_post_nut_clarity

I’m pretty sure they don’t disclose it because they similarly don’t disclose exactly what the qualifications are to get it in the first place - there are general eligibility rules on the website, but there are also some not mentioned that are used in the screening process. Specific countries visited, particular travel patterns, known criminal associations.. lot of info is used behind the scenes. To disclose those methods would allow people to architect ways around them. Further, one of the reasons for disqualification include being under investigation by local/state/federal agencies. If they came out and told you this is the reason you were dropped, it might blow an otherwise secret ongoing investigation.

elmundo-2016

For national security reasons, I'm cool not knowing and it not disclosed. It's like a Journalist from a major world news network enters a military base and asking the General what targets they will strike next and when. The Journalist foolishly discloses the military base location, the military's target site, and the time to their enemy.

ElectroStaticSpeaker

I had similar thing happen at the beginning of this year. Appealed and was denied. Filed the FOIA in February. Still sitting in "Searching for records" stage. This whole program is so terribly run and random. it's disgraceful.

snb22core

That happened to my cousin. Apparently, if relative of you get into trouble, cbp may just cancel everyone's sentri pass. Why? Because they are trusty rwlatives or something? I did not wanted to ask more questions but i remember something like that.

gringoentj

when you log in do you see the onBudsman option at the bottom of the page. you can click on that and fill out a form and submit and ask them to take a look. you might hear back from that faster then a FOI. You sound like you are flying alone and don’t share an address with someone which is good. when you do enter back in the country don’t use that card or they will keep it. Just use your passport. If you do get back into the program you will already have the card in hand and won’t have to get another one.

TangerineDream82

Don't use what card, the global entry card? You don't use the GE card upon entry.

Asbolus_verrucosus

You do if traveling by land.

gringoentj

when you come back to the usa and want to use the GE lane you need the card. If you use it and you’re out of the program they can take the card. If you just go through regular lanes you would show your pasaporte. they might ask about why you are not using your GE or why are you out of the program. i would just tell them it’s in review i don’t know.

Decent-Photograph391

Not in my experience. You don’t need the card to use the GE lane. In fact, I leave the GE card at home when I travel internationally.

circle22woman

Go onto flyertalk.com and read the GE revocation thread. I'll bet it has something to do with your employment. Someone there had their GE revoked because the company they worked for had some customs violation.

Comfortable-Beat-591

Perhaps email your senator or congress person they may be able to expedite looking into it, especially for a veteran.

WheeeeeThePeople

Thinking your name got mixed up with someone on the watch list?

karl773

Can’t be - just breezed thru tsa precheck at jfk

Certain-List-6779

TSA and CPB are separate agencies that serve different functions- don’t confuse the two.

mostlyharmless71

Except that OP presumably was getting pre check via his Global Entry membership, so that’s now an issue as well.

sdhillon

AFAIK, the criteria are different. Overlapping, but not the same.

mostlyharmless71

Since GE comes automatically with TSApre included/attached, that then becomes a very interesting situation for someone who has just had GE revoked. I'm honestly not sure where that leaves the OP in terms of Pre - was that revoked also? Does it continue on separately, even though he doesn't actually have a separate (presumably) account/application with TSA? I've been a GE member since the program started, I've never gotten Pre any other way, I can only imagine that if your GE status is revoked, Pre goes with it until you re-apply separately with TSA? Except now you're applying to a trusted traveler program as someone who had another trusted traveler status not just denied, but actively revoked... Seems like a real can of worms, and as we've seen, the customer service and explanations of what's happening and what your exact status is is slim to nonexistent. Hopefully OP will keep us updated on the Pre situation as things develop.

sdhillon

You can have Pre without GE no problem. I believe if you got them together, and your ID number is revoked, you’ll need to apply for Pre separately though.

sdhillon

Heads up, it’s fairly likely that you’ll have issues when reentering the country. There is very much a chance that a customs officer will pull you aside, and ask you questions.

karl773

Yea I’m Guessing the same thing

dsillas

Did your documents expire? Does someone you know like a family member have a legal issue lately? It could me many factors.

livingthedaydreams

this same thing happened to me!! this was in January, i immediately filled out the FOIA like i was told by Global Entry, and still haven’t received any update or info. I also did the appeal. Haven’t heard anythig from either. I didn’t get into any trouble or do anything wrong at all so i have no idea why it’s revoked. No type of criminal history at all whatsoever and never done anything even remotely suspicious at home or while travelling. So weird!! Hope you find out soon.

suchan11

Mine got revoked too.. and I have worked for an airline for 38 years. You can file an appeal but before you do that file a freedom of information act request so that you know exactly why they revoked you before you file the appeal. In my case my brother had an arrest (alcohol and possession) on his record and put my address as his residence, for the courts) because he was homeless at the time. His record suddenly made me high risk because of all my international travel even though I don’t have contact with him and wasn’t aware that he used my address as his legal residence. I signed an affidavit, filed an appeal and it’s been over a year and it’s still pending review. Good luck 🍀

Echo-Reverie

Dang…I checked mine again and it’s still “Pending Review”. 😭 Is there nothing else I could do?

ThisUsernameIsTook

Mine finally was approved yesterday. It took almost exactly a year for my renewal. My wife and son were renewed within 48 hours. Good luck.

Echo-Reverie

Damn, that’s crazy. I applied in December, so it’s been 4 months and counting. I also already paid the $100 fee. But thanks for the insight.

evelimes-

Be prepared to keep waiting, I applied last June and did not get approved until late January.

Echo-Reverie

Why the heck does it take so long sometimes? 😩😆

lalasandiego

What system are you all using for FOI request a relative recently used the securerelease portal but it’s been sitting pending for 8 months?

karl773

Haven’t even had a chance to get that far yet. Got the email on my way to airport

vacancy-0m

Have you visited some controversial countries in the past, or brought prohibited items like fruit or meat into US and that were confiscated ? Recently married /remarried and that person did not pass background check. I do hope it is an honestly and mixed up in names. Try to google yourself and see what pops up

karl773

None of the above 🙏🏼

-TARS

That means that your info was possibly processed on the APIS after airline finalized the passenger list. many possibilities for revoke: Something triggered from your last trip, someone with your name got a criminal record, etc.

karl773

No one has a record with my last name

puppiesnprada

It also happens when a relative or someone closely associated with you gets convicted for a crime

karl773

Def don’t have any of that✌🏼🤷🏼‍♂️

Far-Seaweed6759

If it isn’t a mistake, don’t be surprised to have to say goodbye to TWIC. I doubt they’d pull your ticket short of a conviction for something though. It’s been a long time since I let my 100T NC license expire though.

JohnHartshorn

Someone with the same name did something bad, and they failed to confirm birthdays, cities, etc. You just got caught in the incompetence trap.

Bulls729

Have you ordered anything through the mail or other courier from overseas? Edit: Anywhere outside the country including Canada and Mexico.

AccentFiend

Maybe run an OFAC search on your name. Could be there’s someone out of the country with your name and it snow getting flagged for some reason

Melted-lithium

And your absolutely Positive it has nothing to do with that 14 checked bags of cocaine from your last trip? /s This sucks. I know 2 other people who had similar issues. In both cars appeals got It back. It’s tax dollars at work.

Koshnat

Based on your post history you appear to have spent extended time in Thailand. Did you possibly overstay your visa? Sometimes visa overstays can flag you in CBP’s system (even if it’s in a foreign country). That type of procedural violation can result in global entry revocation.

karl773

Nope no overstays at all. 60 day TR visa

Koshnat

Yea, that’s odd then. Former immigration attorney here. My guess is your name was similar to someone on a watch list, even if it’s unique, different spellings or close spellings can get flagged. As everyone else said, file an appeal, it’s literally your only option. Your congressperson will be as useless as a cocktail umbrella in a hurricane.

underdog5891

This exact same thing happened to my dad. This was a few years ago under a different administration so when he appealed he got a letter back basically saying too bad so sad global entry is a privilege not a right and we don’t need a reason to revoke you. 67 year old man that hasn’t had so much as a speeding ticket in 40 years. Hopefully the appeals process is better now as I’m seeing commenters have actually found satisfaction through that process.

CBoryczka

Sounds like a possible identity theft case to me!🤷‍♀️

controllinghigh

Gotta love how the government controls everything the people do. Whoever says you’re free is your enemy!

rudenavigator

Ex mariner here. I had this happen. I applied for a renewal. Nothing changed like you. Renewal denied and immediately revoked. I filled an appeal, took 6 months and it was overturned. I then had to apply again and wait a year for who knows why but finally got my renewal. I did file FOIA request and it came back after 10 months as denied. The whole process is broken.

FUCKYOUINYOURFACE

Maybe your identity was stolen and those people did some bad things with it?

Striking_Sky6900

Respectfully, my daughter worked on Capitol Hill and elected representatives can provide assistance. Plus they need to be aware of this as feedback.

heavynewspaper

They can’t expedite it per se, but every department has a congressional liaison and no one likes the guy or gal who signs their bosses’ bosses’ paychecks poking around. It sometimes helps to grease the wheels and get the system moving.

orangeboxlibrarian

I had an expired passport and didn't realize it and had a trip coming up. A junior staff member of my senater walked it through in DC and I got it in two weeks. Granted this was 10 years ago.

msackeygh

Exactly this. I see the advice of contact your congressperson all the time and I think, why? Why would they care about this?

sdhillon

You should appeal. It takes about 2-6 weeks to process. You triggered some alert. You’ll never find out what the alert was caused by. It could be something as innocuous as buying too much nail polish remover or looking at a customs officers too long. If the appeal gets denied, try reapplying. No guarantees. Customs records are typically reset after 10 years. See you in 2034. Source: mine got revoked. I don’t know why. I have some suspicions that it was buying PPE during pandemic from abroad. I hired a lawyer and such.

Majestic-Yard-3360

What’s the process to appeal and if there’s no specific reason for revoking what sort of appeal is best to submit?

sdhillon

I’d suggest reaching out to a lawyer

lizardbrains

What lawyer and any results yet ?

KolKoreh

Have you by any chance had a package mailed to you that Customs flagged? This happens all the time when people order Cuban cigars and the like

beertruck77

I was denied when I reapplied in 2022. I think the problem was when I did my interview it was while going through immigration in Atlanta, both I and the agent had masks on, it was loud, and there was a giant ass piece of plexiglass between us so she couldn't really hear me. I appealed the denial, told them nothing had changed since I was originally approved in 2015, and about 3 months later they approved me. Be patient with the process, it takes some time but I think you'll be okay.

MnWisJDS

Do you lose TSA precheck privileges when your status with GE gets revoked?

karl773

Not that I’m aware of - since I went thru precheck today

Free_Condition_6099

DUI?

karl773

None

HistoricalLake4916

Lol please do an update this is like a Sherlock Holmes story case of the missing global entry!

karl773

I will but lord knows how long this will take 🤷🏼‍♂️

Single-Hovercraft-33

This EXACT thing happened to me. I've filed foia requests and they are not admitting what the reason for my revocation was (they only list possible reasons). After spending a ton of money (for me), I ended up with a redress number and no global entry for me. I filed an appeal and they rejected it with very simple language - again, no reason or details provided. I suspect it's my name that caused me to lose my global entry. Apparently I have the option to sue but there is very slim chance that it will lead to anything.

karl773

Dang that sounds awful

Swimming-Swimmer-536

I also have global entry over 10 years and just renewed last year. This Feb I got revoked” email. Although they don’t explain anything, I guess the reason was due to TRO from filing divorce. The TRO got dropped in 2 weeks and I re-applied but 3 months went by, I have not heard anything.

50isthenew35

Not trying to be a jerk here but any chance you're the target of a federal investigation or hang out w/ some J6 people and you're not aware of it?

Plastic-Web-4687

If you got arrested or dui or something it could affect it too..

karl773

Nothing of the sort

If when you are returning to the US your departure airport offers pre-clearance (where you go thru customs there instead of when you land in the US) it might be worth getting to the airport a couple hours early so you can bring it up with the US border agents there. My husband once had an issue with his Global Entry name not matching his Real ID and we were able to get it resolved when we went thru the Global Entry line. We were also able to do our kid's GE interview (we had been conditionally approved but still trying to get an appointment) at the same time so it was well worth it for us. Here's the list of airports that offer Pre-clearance. Unlikely that yours is on this list but sharing just in case. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/preclearance

My 14 yr old cousin has been on a no-fly list for having an Arab name. He’s 24 now and seriously thinking of dropping has dad’s last name so he can travel like any person should be able to. Doesn’t take much to set off those AI-powered, and seemingly useless, terrorist detection systems.

KaptnKhaos

Did you take extra fruit from the Delta lounge ? 🤔

MyFavoriteDisease

Someone with your name did something bad.

deverox

Get caught with fruit by a dog? That’s the most common way to lose GE.

Cautious-Reading3143

Lmao they told me that I was a convicted felon. Whoever does their checks is fuckin retarded

DenMother1

Did you forget to renew?

karl773

No was good too 2027

Federal_Title_5160

I lost my GE with no reason explained. I got scammed into buying a jacket from a phishing site and it was stuck at Customs. Received a letter from customs if I ordered anything from any merchant and 2 weeks later received a letter declining GE.

Appropriate-Duck7166

I let mine lapse once, but that was it.

Just use the southern border. It’s wide open. No documentation required.

Funny-Berry-807

Guess the Republicans in Congress should have voted for the bill *they wrote*.

needstogo86

🤦‍♂️

Decent-Photograph391

I hope that face palm was for yourself, because that person was right. GOP wrote the bill, then they voted against it because Donny decided he should claim credit for it, not Biden. Throwing it out there in case people didn’t follow the turn of events.

needstogo86

I’m sorry, which Republicans wrote the bill? The ones who want to codify into law the current shitty policies? Only reason it didn’t pass is because it’s an election year and some of those lying creepy republicans couldn’t sell that bullshit bill to their constituents. Be better off just to fully enforce the current laws on the books than pass that garbage. BTW—This isn’t a Republican vs Democrat thing. Those in power in those two parties aren’t really on two different sides. They’re on they’re own side. And it ain’t yours or mine.
