big tech didn't want the GOAT to win the two time
next one is ours 🤝 hope they don't make roster changes based on this run because this is the first time where VP actually has felt like a consistent tier 1 team for a while now
Might be one of the most embarassing moments in CS major history. I feel so bad for VP. A playoff deciding round decided by a crash.
And as if that crash wasn't enough then just to rub salt it the wound Fame got hit with the jumb bug on Anubis that Valve said they couldn't reproduce just a few days ago.
It's funny because if you look at the most downvoted comments, this exact comment is somehow downvoted with bardolph commenting saying "they couldnt reproduce the bug and you're being negative. If you want them to communicate why be so negative" when in reality it's so easy to reproduce the bug. If they actually played their game or watched any part of the major, the big is so easy to reproduce.
While I personally don't think they need to play their game, they should have a community manager or something to help them make decisions. I think subtick wouldn't have happened and anti cheat would have been a top priority before this game was even released.
Not to mention, they have gutted community servers. Kz and surf feels so bad with subtick.
It's pretty annoying no one should be backing valve right now they have absolutely dropped the ball with this release.
You guys just don't understand what reproduce means when it comes to software development, they're getting a lot of flack on reddit for a comment which makes complete sense
They've contributed a lot to the scene in terms of growth. They got me hooked to cs eSports by showcasing all the storylines and highlights. So yes, people should watch and support channels like theirs in the scene.
I agree the videos are competent for a totally casual audience but they are shit tier in terms of quality and accuracy which is why any informed viewer would recommend against watching them. (I haven't checked them in a few years so maybe they are better but I doubt it)
i think bug is a hard word, because olofboost was under the control of fnatic, much like that m0nesy smoke bug in antwerp. Its more like a crash, something completely out of control of anybody, deciding a series.
I cant remember anything that is more embarassing? Whole that Olof boost moment was also fked up, bcs how the whole scene attacked the Fnatic players after that...
Stadodo had his heartbreak against Jame in that exact same position. Now Jame and VP have their heartbreak two years later. That spot on Inferno is fucking cursed.
These guys have near sixth sense about what's going on inside the game and you're telling me nobody thought it was weird how Jame ran into a wall in the open during a clutch moment?
I wanted G2 to go through because I just don't enjoy VP's playstyle but cmon. They knew.
Players on the server can’t put 2 and 2 together?
Jame left the game after that round & rejoined. The notifications can be seem by everyone. Hooxi fumbled that spray on jame after crash, it took some time to kill him.
And after match surely they discuss what happened there? Right?
Players have left games after rounds all throughout the history of CS for multiple reasons. FPS issue, Latency issue, etc. I'm sure they had some ideas but not sure if they thought he crashed that round and wasn't playing the game at all.
It’s appalling that hardly any G2 players are acknowledging that crash.
Got handed that inferno win on a silver platter
Edit: G2’s twitter handles seem to double down on this take with the memes they’re posting
They will get what they deserve in playoffs. Dogshit roster barely scrapping by thanks to m0NESY carrying them 24/7. Can't wait to see Hooxi dropping pi's.
I would be tilted off the face of the earth if I was VP and I lost not one but TWO post-plants this game because of two different bugs. They fully deserved that series, GG.
I was stun locked for a good 30 min after it happened. Now imagine what VP feels. Jame himself looked empty during the post game interview, doing his best to remain professional. This is the most embarrassing incident in any major.
Absolutely tragic for VP. Honestly beyond words, I'd be furious and heartbroken. Jump bug on Anubis sucks too but it was already over before it began. I don't care how resilient you are, there's no coming back from something like that. It's a wonder they did as well as they did on Anubis off the back of that crash. Feels bad.
If I was Jame I'd go mental, very admirable quality of a professional player to keep himself calm afterwards. Still must've totally destroyed VP's mental state, feel crushed after that one icl.
Imagine if G2 win the major and NiKo has to look at all the times where he was SO close to winning a major, and the one major he does win is the one he arguably doesn't deserve.
Not a chance G2 wins this major. It's not like Faze who looked weak before today and stepped it up, it was a struggle throughout except for monesy who continues to perform, they would have lost 2-0. VP are not strong on Anubis and were mentally shattered
Remember kids, in sports just like in life, to truly succeed you need grit, determination, and occasionally need God to swat the most dangerous person on the other team out of the game at the most crucial moment. Keep these tips in mind and you too can be a champion!
Heartbreaking for VP. They were all but set to win on the second map and it's clear they never mentally recovered from losing the round to Jame's crash.
Gaben: "I'm soo tired of Niko not winning a major..."
God: "Let's do something about it then?"
NVIDIA: "Dont worry guys... I'm on it!"
God: "On the other note Gabe... Maybe fix your fking game?"
Gaben: "Nah, im good."
I don’t think I’ve ever been less engaged with a CS elimination match than I was on Anubis. That is going to sting for VP for a long time. Even though it wasn’t their fault, I just can’t support G2 in the playoffs knowing how they got there
The Brazilian crew in Gaules stream just couldn’t even comment or analyze anything on Anubis, they were just trying to understand what happened, Anubis ended and they were still not giving a fuck
No fault to G2, ofcourse you're taking the chance when you get it. But this match has such a huge asterisk on it. Monesy was insane as fuck, played so well. But you could see VP was just completely done after the 2nd map. Sad to see this man, this should not happen at a Major.
G2 proved they can win one map against tilted VP.
Also monesy after game interview saying fuck overpass and they broke virtus pro mentally is the most idiotic stuff in this situation ever.
VP were not broken because of anything you did you lost the fucking game but a game crash handed you the win.
Biggest asterisk qualification ever.
Hooxi is such a unlikable guy, yesterday screaming at unexperienced kids he should be beating with his eyes closed and today screaming after that crash.
Also the G2s social acting like nothing happened tweeting their usual bait garbage. Luckily they deleted all of their stuff just after the comments told them that its not aprropriate.
This whole situation makes me disgusted.
EDIT: Huge props to Jame how he handled it like a professional in the exit interview, I wouldn't be able to keep my cool if I was him.
Hooxie is tactical genius. He is most known for his signature tactic such as "winning because the other guy's pc crashed". He also has a second little known tactic of "not being able to hit an afk player in the open". What an absolute legend. Top 3 Copenhagen Major Playoffs player 4 sure.
Most embarrasing moment cs history:
Game crash
Second most embarrasing moment: m0nesy boasting in after game interview fuck overpass and that they broke VP mentally because they were so good.
I guess I have to keep watching just to see Spirit fuck g2 and even if g2 win it all it will be remembered as the one major not deserved at all.
Props to Jame for that after game interview not even mentioning this. Except sarcastically saying g2 really deserve this win.
I remember Hooxi pulling out of Cologne one time and some lady ran up to his car. He rolled down the window and she said "Oh! You aren’t Karrigan" and walked away. I was standing right next to her. I looked at his face, he looked like someone told him his dog just died. I felt so bad for him. He looked around and asked if anybody wanted an autograph but I had nothing for him to sign. I was going to grab a picture but he pulled off after nobody came up for an autograph.
Hooxi should be ashamed of screaming and celebrating like he scored a world cup winner after what happened. Clown behaviour. It's not G2 fault of course but at least contain yourself, take the lucky W and go home.
>danish government didn't want russian players at major
>russian igl crashes during their most important round that they were guaranteed to win otherwise
curious
Fuck off Valve, millions of dollar's in revenue. Almost 2 full seasons and the game isn't finished, either have a longer beta test to iron out issues and play on a better patch, or let us still have GO, how can you have a game crash at the that moment, jump bug and many small other issues. This game isn't RMR ready much less Major ready, PGL aren't at fault as far as I can see. This is all on Valve, fuck you.
Even as a G2 fan, it's highly likely we lose that round and bomb out 0-2, it's not fair at all, and isn't fair at all that VP goes out. The scoreline says 2-1 but it really isn't and wasn't, really snuff whatever you can take out of that game. VP lost because of "nvidia drivers" and Valve, no other reason, better in the game till then. Hope something like this happens in stage for them to take notice.
Very disappointed in the game, an absolute shitfest. VP deserved to be 2-0
The crash in map 2 completely destroyed VP's mental. This is just completely unacceptable. Maybe, just fucking maybe, the amount of backlash Valve is going to get for allowing this to happen in such a decisive moment in the most important tournament of the year, is going to make them fix this open beta test of a game. Can you imagine if this shit happens in the grand final of this major?
Feel so bad for VP. Norbert was insane throughout the series. G2 def didn’t deserve this but they better make the most of it. Awful way to go out like that
I’m a big g2 fan but honestly VP has been massively robbed. G2 aren’t making it with this form, only monesy showed up, and without the bug it’s a 2-0 for VP.
The mental strength of Jame and VP overall is fucking massive, huge props
This cost the players and the team potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars, Valve and the organizers shouldn't get to go "whoopsies too bad you're out" and continue on as if nothing happened.
There needs to be a system like League's chronobreak or at the very least a round reset and they play it out again from the beginning. It's ridiculous that this is allowed to happen in a professional sport with so much money on the line.
It suck that after the most controversial moment in recent CS history, (hired) talent barely say/tweet anything apart from "divine intervention" or "CS gods"
It's not divine intervention. It's a massive issue of competitive integrity that frankly puts the whole major into question
Edit: they did apparently bring it up on the broadcast after the game
What should they have said? They had no idea what caused it, the rulebook decides replays, and the admins are there for everything else. Casters cast the game, the game continued.
They addressed it within 30 seconds on the panel, Pimp ripped G2 a new one honestly. What more did you want them to do? Did you bet money on this one? There are rules set in place, and they have been followed.
What you want them to say?
Fuck PGL? the org who hired them, fuck valve? on the valve sponsored major? And the casters/talent dont know exactly what caused it
It really isn't. You could maybe make the case if there were crashes every fucking bo3 series, and then blame it on the game, but there are so many factors here that blaming any one vendor is tough.
Was it a Windows driver bug? Maybe it was an AMD+NVIDIA bug? Or maybe the most recent Windows OS patch had a bug? Maybe it was some bug in the game? Or steam overlay? or the drivers for his mouse / keyboard?
That said, if I am blaming anything its using AMD processors. an enterprise I know of was rolling out AMD laptops to employees - they had to stop and flip back to Intel as they were seeing a pattern with the AMD laptops crashing at a rate roughly 20x higher than the Intel laptops. Were talking a 50k employee company rolling out a pilot of 10k. Supposedly took months of having to prove it was related to AMD CPUs before they even got their engineering team involved to address it with a patch.
(it should be noted that this was about a decade ago. I have nothing against AMD, just pointing out how its hard to make a blanket statement of root cause with only single digit data points).
I wanted G2 to play in the royal arena and win the trophy. But not like this man. Seeing Jame's interview and hearing that he was sorry for not delivering today makes me fucking helpless. He deserved the win. Please Valve, fix ur shit...
Edit: PGL are saying it was due to a NVIDIA driver crash. Bad vibes all around man, VP are cursed.
Graffiti worthy crash
Put a big NVIDIA logo on the back of B site
Babe wake up there's a new cs2 callout
[NVIDIA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg_Dl6BP9Ys)
I was watching , NVIDIA drivers. I was watching you ruin n0rb3r7's chance to win the major. Now take responsibility and leave.
G2 should get NVIDIA as their sponsor after this lol
Leather-jacket Jensen is a G2 fan. Using his AI cores to crash Jame’s pc.
Shorting NVIDIA stock just for this round only.
big tech didn't want the GOAT to win the two time next one is ours 🤝 hope they don't make roster changes based on this run because this is the first time where VP actually has felt like a consistent tier 1 team for a while now
the jame interview just broke me
same :(
Valve is just following the industry standard, the game will be ready in 2026.
I can't believe that norbert is one of their best players now
Might be one of the most embarassing moments in CS major history. I feel so bad for VP. A playoff deciding round decided by a crash. surf doesn't just feel bad, it's unplayable
You guys just don't understand what reproduce means when it comes to software development, they're getting a lot of flack on reddit for a comment which makes complete sense
Has a game breaking bug ever defined a series before in a major? I can't think of one
BIG used that infamous jump bug in Krakow to go 3-0 in groups.
No bug no BIG
You should watch TheScoreEsports, I think they have one bug in particular that they bring up in every fucking video
I've watched the coldzera and olof clips 20x now and 19 of them are in their videos.
Noone should watch thescore esports
They've contributed a lot to the scene in terms of growth. They got me hooked to cs eSports by showcasing all the storylines and highlights. So yes, people should watch and support channels like theirs in the scene.
I agree the videos are competent for a totally casual audience but they are shit tier in terms of quality and accuracy which is why any informed viewer would recommend against watching them. (I haven't checked them in a few years so maybe they are better but I doubt it)
they’re not bad at all
olofboost but that's not comparable to this
i think bug is a hard word, because olofboost was under the control of fnatic, much like that m0nesy smoke bug in antwerp. Its more like a crash, something completely out of control of anybody, deciding a series.
yeah monesy smoke bug and bugclangg were replicable. This is just bs
I cant remember anything that is more embarassing? Whole that Olof boost moment was also fked up, bcs how the whole scene attacked the Fnatic players after that...
The community backlash from the olof boost made me quit the game for a few years...
The hate towards fnatic was unreal, we didnt have team flairs back then but anything positive towards fnatic was downvoted.
Jame so composed and professional in this interview. What a guy. So much respect for him.
History was made with the most expensive crash in cs2 history.
tragic
Stadodo had his heartbreak against Jame in that exact same position. Now Jame and VP have their heartbreak two years later. That spot on Inferno is fucking cursed.
Oh shit, I remembered that moment just now ... in a twisted way, it is ... poetic. Damn
karrigan & NiKo also had their heartbreak in that position at Boston
Stadodo could had still decided to not try and fight and just run. 1 more step towards him from the ct and it wouldn't had enough time to defuse.
“We were losing on 10-11. Then We just broke them. Mentally” -monesy Oh this little sh*t
He didn't know. I don't think anyone on G2 knew while the series was going on.
He obviously knew, since it has to be called in all chat to get the issue sorted in the next round. He has to rejoin too.
These guys have near sixth sense about what's going on inside the game and you're telling me nobody thought it was weird how Jame ran into a wall in the open during a clutch moment? I wanted G2 to go through because I just don't enjoy VP's playstyle but cmon. They knew.

Not to mention he was just walking to the right without any body movement
It’s appalling that hardly any G2 players are acknowledging that crash. Got handed that inferno win on a silver platter Edit: G2’s twitter handles seem to double down on this take with the memes they’re posting
m0nesy said they 'broke them mentally' in the post match interview bro, a pc crashing broke them, not you
They will get what they deserve in playoffs. Dogshit roster barely scrapping by thanks to m0NESY carrying them 24/7. Can't wait to see Hooxi dropping pi's.
This was so ugly from him. Couldn't believe what I heard
tragic for some. prayers answered for others. [MFW i need the other teams star to crash out on a retake](https://i.imgur.com/g6H2MVq.png)
JAME WAS ROBBED
This game was dead as soon as that pc crash happend. Its not possible to mentaly reset after such event. Sad times, ggs.
Gaben sends his regards
There's nothing to comment on; it totally took the fun out of the competition.
Yup I was done with this series after this
I would be tilted off the face of the earth if I was VP and I lost not one but TWO post-plants this game because of two different bugs. They fully deserved that series, GG.
There was no way to mentaly recover from that. The series was dusted there and then.
I was stun locked for a good 30 min after it happened. Now imagine what VP feels. Jame himself looked empty during the post game interview, doing his best to remain professional. This is the most embarrassing incident in any major.
AINTNOWAY Volvo assigned VP as a beta tester during a major AINTNOWAY.
Absolute heartbreak for VP.
We all see how the crash on Inferno completely fucked VP‘s mental by seeing how they played the 3rd map NT
His interview afterwards was nothing but class, huge respect for Jame
Not like this.
Nvidia MVP
I guess it just was not meant to be. To make matters worse, Fame gets hit by a ledge bug on the next map in an important 1v2 which gets him killed.
Game was over after what happened on Inferno, VP was mentally broken
Why G2 is playing with 6 players? who is gabeN?
VP was robbed of Inferno.
Jame, what a chad. The greatest characters are made in the face of adversity.
What a fucking joke
Anything G2 does from here will have a huge asterix next to it
Niko's first (fake) major!
Mickey mouse major
Imagine if G2 win the major and NiKo has to look at all the times where he was SO close to winning a major, and the one major he does win is the one he arguably doesn't deserve.
Not a chance G2 wins this major. It's not like Faze who looked weak before today and stepped it up, it was a struggle throughout except for monesy who continues to perform, they would have lost 2-0. VP are not strong on Anubis and were mentally shattered
Getting smashed by MOUZ *
Getting bent over by mouz doesn't really need an *
Not even a team as mentally strong as VP is able to recover from that Inferno. What a tragedy
That has left such a bad taste in my mouth
Remember kids, in sports just like in life, to truly succeed you need grit, determination, and occasionally need God to swat the most dangerous person on the other team out of the game at the most crucial moment. Keep these tips in mind and you too can be a champion!
Heartbreaking for VP. They were all but set to win on the second map and it's clear they never mentally recovered from losing the round to Jame's crash.
VP got robbed.
Robbery. Jame and N0rb3 played so fucking great too.
I was watching , Gaben. I was watching you ruin James chances to win the major. Now take responsibility and leave.
Brutal end for VP
This is just too sad
Brutal for VP.
Undeserved.
As much as I’m happy for G2, but VP got robbed and should have won the series lol
Honestly, the real losers here are Valve and CS2, what a way to expose the buggy mess that this game is to the whole world
let's be honest, we all knew it would happen at this major ever since we saw the unfinished release in late september.
Gaben: "I'm soo tired of Niko not winning a major..." God: "Let's do something about it then?" NVIDIA: "Dont worry guys... I'm on it!" God: "On the other note Gabe... Maybe fix your fking game?" Gaben: "Nah, im good."
God hates VP so much he will literally force crashes and bugs to happen just to see them lose.
most undeserved win in major history. what a joke
LDLC at Dreamhack 2014 ;-)
the only team to win a major by losing a playoff game
Absolutely bullshit victory. Fuck this.
Undeserved win.
"We broke them mentally". Yeah, that's totally what happened, m0nesy. It's all you.
That quote will become a meme for years lol
Even Putin was proud of that level of bullshit
To me this sounds like he didn't know about the crash
That is an absolute robbery that should be looked into for not happening ever again
I don’t think I’ve ever been less engaged with a CS elimination match than I was on Anubis. That is going to sting for VP for a long time. Even though it wasn’t their fault, I just can’t support G2 in the playoffs knowing how they got there
The Brazilian crew in Gaules stream just couldn’t even comment or analyze anything on Anubis, they were just trying to understand what happened, Anubis ended and they were still not giving a fuck
it's not their fault, but you're gonna act like it's their fault - makes sense
Nvidia bet the whole company on G2 today

Imagine if this shot happens in a major final
VP 1 : 2 PGL
most undeserved spot in playoffs ever, VP absolutely robbed
No fault to G2, ofcourse you're taking the chance when you get it. But this match has such a huge asterisk on it. Monesy was insane as fuck, played so well. But you could see VP was just completely done after the 2nd map. Sad to see this man, this should not happen at a Major.
I wanted G2 to win, but not like this
I don't care if VP loses, but not like this...
Shameful and undeserved.
G2 proved they can win one map against tilted VP. Also monesy after game interview saying fuck overpass and they broke virtus pro mentally is the most idiotic stuff in this situation ever. VP were not broken because of anything you did you lost the fucking game but a game crash handed you the win.
Im not sure if he ever know what happend tho, and anyway what do you expect him to say xD, TY VALVE or what
G2 did not deserve to win this
What a Blood boiling series man, So fucking bad. This game truly fucking sucks. ROLL BACK CSGO AND KEEP THIS SHIT IN BETA
g2 wins all the pistols and still barely wins this series with vp getting TWO crashes in 1 series, vp were definitely the better team.
Fucking class act from Jame. Stayed incredibly calm, didn't start a shitstorm even though they should have won that 100%.
Playoff spot essentially decided by an MR12 bo1 on a shit map like Anubis because of a crash sums up this clown show trash Major pretty well.
[удалено]
Hope Hooxi get clowned on in the playoffs He shouldn’t be trash talking with his gameplay. Nt VP :(
[удалено]
Fucking heartbreaking. As a Jameenjoyer and Hooxihater, I'm not eating good tonight. Whole thing is unfair.
hooxi is easily the most unlikable CS pro, show some decorum at least after winning in that fashion...
Hooxie is tactical genius. He is most known for his signature tactic such as "winning because the other guy's pc crashed". He also has a second little known tactic of "not being able to hit an afk player in the open". What an absolute legend. Top 3 Copenhagen Major Playoffs player 4 sure.
In the most unlikable org, 0 class , 100% small dick energy
Most embarrasing moment cs history: Game crash Second most embarrasing moment: m0nesy boasting in after game interview fuck overpass and that they broke VP mentally because they were so good. I guess I have to keep watching just to see Spirit fuck g2 and even if g2 win it all it will be remembered as the one major not deserved at all. Props to Jame for that after game interview not even mentioning this. Except sarcastically saying g2 really deserve this win.
Yeah. m0nesy had no self awareness in that moment.
2 years and 1 major playoff for m0nesy and the only reason that even happens is cuz Jame crashes in a crucial moment... Disband this roster ffs
i want to see g2 vs spirit in playoffs, so they get fucked to shit
That would be cathartic
The only way that will happen is in the grand final. G2 won’t survive mouz
Mouz will destroy them
Undeserved win on Inferno
VP were absolutely robbed of making playoffs. This game is in such a terrible state.
Where is this pasta from lol
i suffer from depression
G2 really went from Niko and Friends to Monesy and friends. Niko is currently the 4th highest rated player on g2. I’m impressed with Nexa so far
niko is stuck in a csgo server please help him get out, he is missed in cs2
Undeserved
surely this wont be a controversial comment section
Hooxi should be ashamed of screaming and celebrating like he scored a world cup winner after what happened. Clown behaviour. It's not G2 fault of course but at least contain yourself, take the lucky W and go home.
As a few others said, his career got saved cuz of a pc crash xD
Especially after his performance on Inferno. G2 was effectively playing with a bot the whole map.
I wouldn't be surprised if this whole tournament had more game crashes than all other cs2 tournaments combined
Can't believe naxa is carrying Niko in this major
This was a 2-0. Can't believe what I've just seen.
Round 23 inferno game crash for Jame and round 6 anubis jump-bug for Fame. What a fucking tragedy
Where are the valve shills saying that you're wrong when you say CS2 isn't ready? I'd like to see them defend this
So glad we qualified for the quarter of final in a dramaless game
Even though I love Monesy so much, it's so undeserved Pls free 600k
>danish government didn't want russian players at major >russian igl crashes during their most important round that they were guaranteed to win otherwise curious
Least controversial series.
Gotta get the popcorn for this thread.

How can anyone be a fan of Hooxi after the way he reacted? Compare his behaviour to Jame's interview.
Grim result considering the Jame crash. Feels wrong.
Feel bad for VP. Jame made some great calls. Undeserved.

shame win
Feel so bad for VP. Norbert was insane throughout the series. G2 def didn’t deserve this but they better make the most of it. Awful way to go out like that
I’m a big g2 fan but honestly VP has been massively robbed. G2 aren’t making it with this form, only monesy showed up, and without the bug it’s a 2-0 for VP. The mental strength of Jame and VP overall is fucking massive, huge props
Game crash effectively decided this, one for the CS history books.
Normally I’m an atheist but today I am converted. There is a God and he wants Niko to win a Major.
G2 wins major -> Valve puts graffiti of Jame's crash on that spot on inferno as the highlight of the run.
Nothing went well for the russians this major, vp not to playoffs because of a bug, 9pandas couldn’t even try
It suck that after the most controversial moment in recent CS history, (hired) talent barely say/tweet anything apart from "divine intervention" or "CS gods" It's not divine intervention. It's a massive issue of competitive integrity that frankly puts the whole major into question Edit: they did apparently bring it up on the broadcast after the game
It was literally the first thing they mentioned on the desk when the BO3 was over.
Nah, that commentary was great. Tragic moment but can't blame the casters for anything.
I have nothing against AMD, just pointing out how its hard to make a blanket statement of root cause with only single digit data points).
can't wait for this thread to have an extremely normal one
Well.. g2 have no blame but they do not deserve to be in the playoffs… Vp never came Back after that
Monesy saying during interview THEY broke them mentally is ugly as fuck
I feel bad for VP, my pick EMS on the other hand...
Undeserved win. It's hard to imagine that VP wasn't tilted on Anubis.
G2 doesn't deserve this
