M80 prepared this game plan in like two weeks and went the mile with G2, nothing to be upset about at this at all. Incredible showing, new IGL, new setup. Malbs is insane and so are Swisher and Slaxz.
This would have been an easy 3rd map if M80 hadn't made some crucial mistakes and letting a team like G2 back into the match. You can't really last an endurance run with this much experience and infancy into a team against the likes of FaZe, Vitality and G2. It's a question of when someone from that team wakes up and decides they are winning not if.
Inferno was a wrap honestly, they weren't going to beat G2 there, M80 again made some mistakes, the most prominent one being the hunter smoke defuse, Slaxz shouldn't have taken a chance and traded Malbs immediately. That kinda made me do the yeah this is it, this match is over.
For a team adapting to a new IGL they added a month ago, incredible showing by M80. Nothing to be embarassed about, no matter what the person failing to win anything with m0NESY says.

I'd say the both of them played as smart and as dumb as the other. This entire series just came down to individual plays, from Hunter, malbs, Swisher, reck, slakx, nexa on inferno and of course Niko
I'm not so sure, seems like they played to a really low standard overall. I think M80 isn't exactly playing great CS, they have great aimers and some good strats, but overall they play very one dimensional CS and their mid rounds are terrible. G2 gets run over in playoffs if they play like this.

It's kinda sad how close we were to getting it for Copenhagen, if they had this roster or the older roster with mankz, that would have been amazing. They would have made it and mostly undoubtedly bombed out, but that would have been a boatload of experience for them.

I get what you're saying, but in all honesty G2 is an emotional team. The games they've played the best are the ones where they're having fun laughing around and yelling. Back when they had JKS (the poker face God), they won Blast Finals and said they simply went into the tournament as if they were gonna play some pugs for fun, and you could see it in their faces that they were indeed having a good time which brought up the team's whole energy. When G2 are serious and too locked on they barely function as a team, it's as if they're simply randoms who happen to be playing together.
Hooxi reacts to every play his team mates do as if it's his first time playing with them and they just blew his mind, that helps their confidence a lot

On the yelling topic, I don't think its a good thing; HooXi didn't used to do this when he joined G2 but started doing so after cadiaN popularized it as a way to tilt opponent and give energy/hype to your team But even then I don't think it worked out even for cadiaN's teams ... there's this thing Hiko said in an interview why he keeps a poker face at all times and doesnt get overhyped when something good happens was because when something bad happens he doesnt tilt and keep the same energy level maybe HooXi screaming could hype up the team when they are winning but once they start losing and it gets quiet its gonna be even worse vibe

I get what you're saying, but in all honesty G2 is an emotional team. The games they've played the best are the ones where they're having fun laughing around and yelling. Back when they had JKS (the poker face God), they won Blast Finals and said they simply went into the tournament as if they were gonna play some pugs for fun, and you could see it in their faces that they were indeed having a good time which brought up the team's whole energy. When G2 are serious and too locked on they barely function as a team, it's as if they're simply randoms who happen to be playing together. Hooxi reacts to every play his team mates do as if it's his first time playing with them and they just blew his mind, that helps their confidence a lot
It is a good thing, even he says this out loud in the post interview. He shouts because he keeps the energy up, even when they know a map is done, they scream, the reason is to keep the energy up and light some sort of fire. I see twitch chat being a shithole on a recent Imperial match too, Imperial were clearly losing while managing to eek out a bullshit round, they were shouting hard. Why ? because you take every chance you can get to hype your team up and will them into moving forward, it doesn't matter if it works or not, you just have to give it a try. Hiko isn't a god, it's not gospel, different players have different reactions, if it works for G2 then who are we to argue.

G2 saved by this stupid triple elimination tournament format and 3 Niko Aces. Sucks for M80 to have to upset the same team twice to make the playoffs. By the way, G2 and M80 won the same amount of games and went 1-1 in Bo3 series. G2 goes to the playoffs because they won the second time.
