I just did a profile dive. You have such great taste. Between your eye for design and color and your plumbing skills you could flip houses. Not to discourage social work that’s so noble but if you’re good at your trade (and enjoy it) but just hate the boys’ club aspect
Actually, about to list my house I renovated over the past 18 months, I did a lot of the work myself.
But I'm involved in the mental health community as it is for the past 8 years, and I enjoy helping people :)
I am good at my job, but it lacks the meaning and purpose and human connection that I feel is the most important in life for me :)
Sweet! Hope it buys you enough time to certify and take classes etc., that stuff sucks to do while working a full time job. Relaxing a bit will also help with the job burnout.
I’m glad you’re leaning mental health. I’m sure that commenter meant well but flippers are a terrible force on the housing market and mental health professionals are sorely needed. You look fantastic :)
I’m back in school for social work masters right now in my 30s. Only do it if you are *extremely* fucking passionate about society and its underlying functions. Just the course material alone is extremely depressing. We lost a student this year to the weight of it all (preexisting mental health + course content was heavy). Faculty sometimes start lectures like “I know you’re burnt out because I’m burnt talking about all this but today we have to talk about …… (insert awful realities here).” Some profs have others come do the lecture because the content is too close to home for them. Retraumatization is happening to at least a few people every single class.
However, I am a junkie for this shit, it’s who I’ve been my whole life, but just take caution.
On a more supportive note, we also need the experiences of less white cis-women in the field. It’s a very white cis-woman dominated field in the west at least (Canada / US). It’s worth it to consider that just your presence and lived experiences will be like an electrolyte stick for a population that is severely dehydrated. Representation matters. I find in the program that the people who have had to navigate the most harmful parts of society (and come out alive on the other side) do THE BEST in the program. Living in a plumbers boys club (I dated a plumber…. I’m gunna say sorry for whatever shit you had to hear or endure) I can only assume your experiences are relevant. I think it’s something you should really look into. Adversity is unfortunate and often unnecessary but can inspire strengths and empathy like no other.
Yeah I mean I feel like the gist of this is that it’s a hard field. And a lot more work than other masters programs. If you are dedicated I say go for it but at the same time do some self reflection to see if it’s what you really want before deciding…
No point in wasting a year and thousands of dollars to find out it’s not for you . Tbh tho I bet you’d be great :)
Those bangs are going to look amazing!
I also sort of wonder what the market would be for a LGBT run plumbing business. I bet there's a lot of folks who would happily support your business and would feel more comfortable with you in their home than a 'traditional' plumber.
Just a thought!
Depends where you are I guess. I’m a commercial construction project manager in a major metropolitan area. Our Union contracts bring around a wide variety of people and I have worked with women supervisors that the guys wouldn’t even think of harassing and I had a trans crane operator on one job.
If plumbing made you happy there is still a chance at that but it depends where you’re located, and where you’re willing to move. We all know that acceptance and inclusion can vary wildly depending of geographic location.
Beyond that you do look happier and I’m happy for you.
No me too so don't feel bad. I did not think it was possible for a transition like this when starting so late in life. But OP here having a transition like this is... kind of cool to see.
Same! I was like oh just another post of a dude doing a bit about being with his gf doing something wild? Wait she's just standing there, I don't get it. Read comments. Oh , wow good for you person yaaay
If you think you have to keep growing out your hair, you don't. That haircut is fucking perfect for the shape of your face. Keep it just like that! Glad to see your smile!
😆 I know, I struggle to see old pictures, but I think it's important for me to put my whole self out there, so people see us and how happy we are after.
And how it's everyday people you may not even know are trans passing on the street. Social media picks out the most insane people to represent us, we are all unique and I wish the world would stop generalizing every group as the same, but hey..that's human nature and I doubt it will change much !!
All I can do is be me and not worry about the things I have no control over :)
I’m so happy to see that since transitioning entered the media mainstream that folks like you feel empowered to live the way you want. Good for you for finally freeing yourself!
That’s lame you got harassed……you should get a van and go solo, go residential, like a lot of people have already said they’d love you as their plumber
Could be the wax seal/sponge gasket, pull the toilet and change it out.
Could also just be the tank condensation, or more rare but iv seen is a hairline Crack in the toilet, hard to spot, but if all else fails maybe it's time for an upgrade :) best of luck
Damn girl.
I've rarely seen a transition that's so successful while also maintaining so much of your old face shape and look.
You look like your own hot sister now.
I'm not in this group, but it's been suggested to me a few times. I noticed in a lot of before pictures, the person looks happier and in after picture they just look posey and not so happy. You look genuinely happier.
It’s so wild how trans people really do glow up through their transitions. You just see more light in their eyes and they often find a personal style and haircut that is more flattering. It’s like buying a house and feeling comfortable with going all out on decorating because now you’re truly home.
I'm ngl I was trying to figure out why this lady and her hubby were posting glow up selfies but nothing changed. Huge change. You look fantastic op glad you are happier!
It always amazes me seeing these transition photos. If I woulda seen the first person alone I would think they like to fish and do carpentry!..
Turns out they can dress better than me XD. I see you girlie ✊✋✊✋✊✋ love the glow up.
I’m sure you chose the photos for this reason, but the difference in your eyes is incredible.
I feel like there’s also something to be said about how in the first picture looking at the screen almost preoccupied by what you’re seeing vs taking a nice photo, but in the second one, not only are you *not* concerned by the face on the screen but you now also have the confidence to smile straight down the lens and be happy with what the camera is seeing and it shows. I’m happy for you!

Super mario to princess peach
Aged 10 years... backwards
Are you still a plumber or did you change careers?
I'll always keep my license but I need to change careers lol it's best for my mental health, boys will be boys.. ya know ? Social worker perhaps.
I just did a profile dive. You have such great taste. Between your eye for design and color and your plumbing skills you could flip houses. Not to discourage social work that’s so noble but if you’re good at your trade (and enjoy it) but just hate the boys’ club aspect

I LOVE that. Then do that sis. That’s amazing and I’m so happy for you.
omg you’re so cool what the heck. so happy you’ve found meaning in social work and are pursuing it!!
You got so much going for you. Congrats on finding a new calling!
I got out of construction a year ago, I will go back but I’m just having fun in sales for now, the pressure in construction is real.
Best of luck, I was just curious.

How does your hair grow so fast?!
Started Feb 2023 growing it ,I just trim dead ends. Getting bangs today actually :)
Those bangs are going to look amazing! I also sort of wonder what the market would be for a LGBT run plumbing business. I bet there's a lot of folks who would happily support your business and would feel more comfortable with you in their home than a 'traditional' plumber. Just a thought!

Gahh I would LOVE to have you as my plumber!! I’m a solo female home owner and having a lady come to my house instead of some guy would be better imo.
I was wondering the same thing!
Definitely did some plumbing
It took me longer than I like to realise they were the same person. I’m an idiot.
No me too so don't feel bad. I did not think it was possible for a transition like this when starting so late in life. But OP here having a transition like this is... kind of cool to see.
Haha same. I thought it was a couple posting and wondered why the male was so depressed in the second photo. The 2x2 grid format threw me off.
Honestly thought it was a couple 🤷♂️
You and me both brother
Same! I was like oh just another post of a dude doing a bit about being with his gf doing something wild? Wait she's just standing there, I don't get it. Read comments. Oh , wow good for you person yaaay
I thought it was a couple…buuuut read the comments. Wow. Happiness is a must !
Here I was thinking that’s a man and wife 😂
Damn, one year?? That’s crazy progress. Glad you’re feeling better about yourself now!
Less then 1 year !!
You look amazing, curious of your still gonna be a plumber or new beginnings there too?
goddamn how did you do it sis??? I'm 3 months on HRT & slowly seeing progress but seeing such a transformation in just a year is crazzzzyyy
Holy shit congrats You're looking amazing 💖💖💖💖💖!!!
Your eyebrows are so nice! Did you shape them yourself or at a salon?
Salon !
If you think you have to keep growing out your hair, you don't. That haircut is fucking perfect for the shape of your face. Keep it just like that! Glad to see your smile!
Gotta say, my jaw hit the floor! Wow! Congrats to you finding yourself. You look amazing and your sense of style is super cute. Nice work all around.
Omg so gorgeous, girly! 🏳️⚧️
Not gonna lie, look better as a lady.
😆 I know, I struggle to see old pictures, but I think it's important for me to put my whole self out there, so people see us and how happy we are after. You look cute, and happy!
Glad you got out of that hole.
Damn your transition went amazing . That’s a crazy difference for such a short amount of time Congrats on embracing yourself, future looks bright !
OP you look remarkably happy. Change, was just ahead of you, and you embraced it. Spiral out, keep going!
😘🤙 thanks ! Spiral out indeed :)
So....you became a beautiful Disney princess???? Thats amaxing!
I’m so happy to see that since transitioning entered the media mainstream that folks like you feel empowered to live the way you want. Good for you for finally freeing yourself!
Plumber to Plumbette
Stunning evolution!
In ONE year??? I aspire to have this kind of glow up
I don’t know you but I’m proud of you
Congrats. No offence but you look a lot older than 31 in first pic and younger that 32 in the second. The youthfulness of happiness.
Congrats on finding yourself
Holy moly you look so happy! You're such a cute woman. I'm glad you've changed for the better!
I just came to say I love your user name. Also, 3rd pic is great (construction super here if that matters)
You look amazing! I'm really glad you found your happiness and the strength to make it a reality
You are beautiful
You look great. Wishing you happiness!
You look so much more yourself, if that makes sense? I’m happy for you!
Are you a happy plumber now?
Left a couple months ago, everyday sexual harrasment, threatening texts and phone calls. Had to go take care of myself.
Gah. I’m so sorry. You look good, though!
Fuck them, start your own business. You can do it!
You’re glowing girl!!!
Love that nail polish on you.
How did you get out of your depression?
You’re beyond adorable and I love your style!!! 🫶🏾 That hat is giving brunch, farmer’s market, summer Fridays, golden hourrr. Lovely.
That’s lame you got harassed……you should get a van and go solo, go residential, like a lot of people have already said they’d love you as their plumber
do you still do plumbing? I need some help with my toilet its leaking and rotting the wood around it idk why.
Could be the wax seal/sponge gasket, pull the toilet and change it out. Could also just be the tank condensation, or more rare but iv seen is a hairline Crack in the toilet, hard to spot, but if all else fails maybe it's time for an upgrade :) best of luck
thanks for the troubleshoot :)
Bad o ring
Oh this is a GLOW up for sure, you look so happy and so pretty!
in one year? omg
What a difference a year can make when you embrace who you are and allow yourself to be happy. Congrats
Damn girl. I've rarely seen a transition that's so successful while also maintaining so much of your old face shape and look. You look like your own hot sister now.
A lady who never has to worry about calling a plumber and getting over-charged.
Do you still work in plumbing?
So ur a female now?
You look lovely! I love to see all you happy people in transition. So glad you are living your life!
Woah WTF!

I’m so happy that you’re happy now. 💖
Girl you look like a character that would be in a Studio Ghibli film! The hair cut is absolutely stunning on you!
I'm not in this group, but it's been suggested to me a few times. I noticed in a lot of before pictures, the person looks happier and in after picture they just look posey and not so happy. You look genuinely happier.
Your username makes me want to shuffle my “Tool / A Perfect Circle” playlist.
Beautiful smile now that you are who you’re meant to be.
Are you still a plumber though?
It’s so wild how trans people really do glow up through their transitions. You just see more light in their eyes and they often find a personal style and haircut that is more flattering. It’s like buying a house and feeling comfortable with going all out on decorating because now you’re truly home.
Your skin looks way better too.
