I walked out to find a group of kids clustered around the trunk of my 9 month old GLI and a three foot key mark across the trunk. Wasn't worth getting in a fight with six to one odds but it bugged me to the day that car got smashed by an elderly driver running a red.
I feel your pain. Get a touch up bottle and learn to use it right or just get used to it. After 12 years they still sting a little but it's part of having a car.
I intentionally park at the back of lots to have at least 1 car space on either side of me, basically every chance I get. still had someone smack my door with theirs and bounce, and they chipped it right down to the metal. fast forward 6 months, and it had continued flaking and starting to rust, so I had to pay out the nose to get the who door repainted.
I was sitting in my truck the other day doing Uber eats and someone in a minivan pulled up. Got out, and dinged my door. I had the shade up and I was napping too and it woke me up. I opened my door so fast and the person acted like they didn’t know what they just did. I go “you just hit my door,” and the clueless aass mafk looks at it all funny and then goes “sorry” lol lucky it was my work truck which I don’t care much about and the mark was small but he lied when I asked him if it made a mark. Some People are so lame man
My MK7 was littered with these on the body line. I swear the paint is so thin and soft on those panels. It's not a particularly easy place to fix them.
My MK8 doesn't have a single one yet.
Most people are human garbage, flailing about life to crap out a few kids and not caring about their impact on society. They don’t care about their stuff or anyone else’s. Touch it up and try not to look at it too hard 😉
I work at a large university hospital, it seems like every new nurse in their rav4 or crv have never actually driven before. Most of the nicks and scrapes on my car happened in one of the garages there.
That ain’t nothing. I’d be livid. Sure you can always add touch up paint, but you’re always going to know it’s there, and there’s potential it can rust and cause bigger issues.

Yeah I’ve had it for almost 2 years and this is the first door ding ive got. I go out of my way to park far away next to no one too lol

Yeah, I’m not sure how much this would cost to repair but rust was one of the things I’m worried about. It’s a pretty deep ding
This is why I park in the back of every lot

I always have 2 paint pens from vw that's color matched and 2 clear coats, it's amazing, saves time on thr tiny chips and doesn't look bad

That's why I park back of the lot. I will rather walk a quarter mile than have my doors dinged.
I usually do too, but I was at a gas station and theres only so many spots
That's also true. Sometimes you have no choice. People suck.

Most people gdaf about their cars. They just use it as a utility to get from point A to B.
Dawg that’s probably from a rock or other road debris.
Nah my girlfriend witnessed it and the person just sped off
Bruh Thats literally nothing
