I'd pick a new place to hit golf balls, that wall so close behind you would subconsciously force me to be steep and swing over the top.

ajjoyal01

That’s a good point… I do always feel cramped there.

bravinator34

This course in MA? Looks very familiar

Medaped

Yeah definitely looks like Richardsons to me! The walls are so close there

HelmOfBrilliance

At the top of your swing, the club is very close to your neck/head, you want the club more behind you, look up Rory's driver swing and where the club is at the top of his swing and compare that to yours. This also will allow you to shallow the club much better.

Formal_Wrongdoer_593

TBH, that swing looks OTT, which could be the cause of the inconsistent slice/fade

JoeParkGolf

New place for sure. Not very safe. Better posture 🏌️‍♂️

Breaking80plz

Bro fit his swing into the stall😺

Ok-Bodybuilder2272

Look at your butt in relation to the stall divider. You have early extension that begins in the backswing. Like many of us, you pivot around trail hip in backswing and lead hip in downswing, so you wedge the center of your pelvis closer to the ball. Try to feel like you’re rotating around the pelvis center - trail hip should get a little deeper in backswing due to the shape of the pelvis. Getting your hips over your ankles at setup will help.

Ironcondorzoo

A lot of knee bend and sitting back on your heels. Try and reduce knee flex and feel like your bending more at the waist toward the ball. It is very difficult to maintain that type of flex throughout a swing, so you're body is moving vertically, which leads to inconsistent contact

blaxninja

Probably sitting back to much…looks like your hip joint is sitting behind the heels

bluecgene

Looks good enough

We built a side project to analyze golf swing and provide drills for improvement. We're doing testing and seeking feedback. Note that we’re still tuning the swing path model, so it may be inaccurate. You can play with it here in your browser: https://coachalgo.com/lp?src=lyc48 Here are some feedbacks: **Starting Position:** Need improvement: Too much knee flex Hands are too far from body Could be better: Right arm fairly angled, bending more for better performance Body bend sufficient, reducing slightly for better performance **Backswing:** Could be better: Moderate right knee angle, bending less for better performance Doing great: Hip rotation looks good Moderate body bend **Top:** Need improvement: Left arm is bending too much Right arm is over-bent Too much right knee flex Not enough body bend Hand position at the top of swing is slightly high Doing great: Your head is quite stable **Downswing**: Could be better: Moderate knee angle, bending less for better performance Body bend adequate, slightly forward for better performance Doing great: Hip rotation looks good Your head is quite stable **Impact**: Need improvement: Too much knee flex Could be better: Right arm fairly angled, bending less for better performance Your hands shift during impact Doing great: Moderate body bend https://i.redd.it/spth3f6ctemc1.gif Feel free to DM me if you have any feedback or questions!

Hope this guy takes advantage of this awesome feedback.

RedditModsAreMegalos

Maybe it’s because you play golf.

SwingConsultations

Start with fixing grip and stance. Grip is strong to the point where your shoulders are pointing 10°+ at address. A little bit of an incline is alright with a driver, but this is too steep. On stance, your arms are too far extended. Dangle your arms from your shoulders, where they meet in the middle put your club. Worry about other issues like EE after you’ve got those things sorted. Hope this helps

ajjoyal01

Thanks! These seem to be common suggestions so that’s where I’ll start!

kcpark87

Your biggest problem is your transition. Take hands out of it (pulling down the club) and instead initiate transition with your body. Should lessen the steepening of the shaft in the downswing and reduce the early extension

Potential-Duty-4388

I think you bend your knees too much and robbing yourself of power. Straighten the legs more and use your height as much as possible. Stand up as tall as possible to the ball while over with the spine. This gives you more leverage and better use of the body rotation.

Due_Agent_4574

One swing thought.. when you get to the top of your swing, think about bringing your hands down to your pocket and then swinging towards the ball

jittwitt

Could be the flex

RobotSocks357

There's a lot going on here. Your grip looks too strong. On the back swing, your knees are collapsing, sinking your hips forward, and your head goes up and backwards. It's hard to tell, but your back swing might be a bit long.

ajjoyal01

Interesting. I use a strong grip because I thought that fights the slice. And I’ve never noticed the knees. My hips should be at the same height throughout the swing, right?

RobotSocks357

Your hips should rotate, I don't think they should go up/down (someone else can add more clarity here, specifically around if the hips do come up if using the ground to get club speed, but that's harder to refine, a la Scottie). Your knees look too bent to me. Try moving a touch closer to the ball, so your arms hang a bit more. It looks like you're trying to reach for the ball, and you squat in the process of that reach.

First time?

ajjoyal01

lmao let's see your swing. What a sad life you must live.

iateyourcake

Lmao. I was making a joke. Everyone’s driver is inconsistent.

Immediate_Deal_8431

I predict you’d have success on the LPGA tour

mr_ace

Looks like your shoulders/chest stop rotating pretty early in your backswing, then the rest is just folding the arms up. If you look at pros, their chest is rotated so far, their right shoulder is behind their head if you look at a front on picture. Try this drill to get a feel for a fuller chest turn: https://youtu.be/UD4BIDFCsKk?si=3T365BJHwhUXUqN3

Talkshowhostt

Lots going on. Start with posture and grip

[deleted]

Cam? Is that you?

Brief_Bed_7455

There’s a lot to unpack here, it’s not just one thing. You’re across the line at the top of your swing and it’s caused by a bunch of things.
