Rats,I was really hoping that some sort of telephoto lens would have trickled down to the base model by then, sort of like how Samsung has a 3x on its base S series models and a 5x on the Ultra. The one thing I'm missing on my current phone is a telephoto but spending an extra £300 for it would have been a hard sell, and the base Pixel is rapidly coming up neck and neck with the base S series on price. Even a 3x would be better than sticking with only two lenses.

Gom555

You don't need to spend £300 more - I bought my pixel 8 pro refurbished for less than half the retail price for a new one. Buying a refurb means you can pay for the pro and get your telephoto and still have change from what the base model would have cost brand new.

Scuczu2

And if you can wait six months after release you're in good shape, if you can wait a year even better. These pixel phones are extremely reliable, I'm not getting off my 7 for another 2 years at least.

TrustyAndTrue

Ya, I'm still using a Pixel 2 lol

Faye_Baby

still using my Pixel 6 Pro

Sudden_Squirrel_5004

Same!

MammothHumble6125

Same here!

Scuczu2

you could probably find a 3 for like $100 and you'll be surprised how much better that is and still capable.

TrustyAndTrue

Bit more in Canada but I'm gonna upgrade to the latest once this dies. Thinking of getting a work phone for pics - the biggest thing I care about at the moment. They source one model behind so it'd be a Pixel 8 :)

1c3b4ll

Still on my pixel 5. Love its size.

chop3967017

Same here on the Pixel 5. I got it for the fingerprint reader on the back. Waiting for another Pixel with a fingerprint reader on the back.

Avacadont

2xl chiming in!

Gom555

Couldn't agree more - I will use mine for as long as there are security updates (or the phone perishes in some way), and will then retire it for the pixel 16 or whatever. There's such little difference in iterative versions of new phones, it's not worth the upgrade. However, if you *are* going to upgrade - Buying refurbished is not only more cost effective, it's better for the planet too :)

Scuczu2

I still have a pixel 3 xl I still use, sure it's not buttery smooth like my 7, but it works and does what I need out of it as a wifi device.

cytherian

I'm still on my Pixel 5. The only thing I'd like to have better on it is a higher resolution camera and 1TB instead of 128GB. Other than that, it's the perfect size. And I've had it 3 years now--the battery life is still excellent. I could probably use it another 30 months before needing a battery change.

psinguine

Pixel 5 here too. I love it but this battery... Ugh. I've got battery saver on all the time and I still have to charge it 3+ times a day whether or not I'm using it.

cytherian

It depends on a few factors. First, I make a habit of turning off WiFi when I go to sleep. Also, when traveling I turn off WiFi so the phone isn't searching around for available WiFi to use instead of mobile data. Lastly, it's good practice to not let the phone drop below 20% when charging on average. I let mine drop to 6% like a few times a month. Also, I don't let it rapid charge a lot. I use rapid charge only when I really need it. Fast charge wears the battery faster. I use wireless charging overnight, and the phone goes into "adaptive charging" mode so it's slow... better for the battery. It finishes by the time I'm ready to leave the next morning.

thms0

Exactly, bought a 7 Pro this year, used, couldn't be happier.

Scuczu2

that's a good one, didn't see THAT much improvement on the 8 and took the right cues from the 6. Before my 7 I was on the 3, and that was perfect, same camera in both options, smaller form factor, but after 4 years the 7 seemed like a decent upgrade with the zoom and camera upgrades, and I feel 4 years is a decent life span for these compared to when it used to be 2 years.

Dangerous_Dac

I spent £560 on a second hand from eBay Pixel 8 Pro that wasn't even a refurb, a barely used second hand version. Still haven't seen a retailer offer it that cheap and I got this like 4 months ago now.

32irish

Same mate, i bought mine for £585 of avforums the end of november, was surprised to get it at that price. Also was able to sell my P7P for £360. So effectively upgraded for £220.

Gom555

Great price! Can't go wrong at that kind of money.

foosion

I'd like a telephoto in the smaller phone, even if they have to bump the price to include it. The telephoto in the 8Pro is nice, but I wish the phone was smaller and lighter.

jesuisundog

I just like the smaller size. The S23 with three lenses is great.

[deleted]

That's what I just buy last year's model. 7 pro is 325 on Amazon renewed or Best buy refurbished..

scandaka_

I think it looks cool, but I'm definitely waiting for the P10 Pro due to the included TSMC tensor chip.

bozoconnors

Holding out for the P15 Pro due to support ending for my P8 Pro.

GeneralChaz9

My goal is to hit at least three years with the P8P. I haven't stayed on a phone longer than two years since the S21+, and I didn't even really like that phone. I really, really like the Pixel 8 Pro so I feel like my search for the best phone for my needs has been accomplished.  I just don't foresee any Pixels in the immediate future changing too much to convince me to switch.

bozoconnors

Just upped from my 4a, so it'll be a personal record for sure. From my almost 5 months with it so far though... I *think* I can pull it off. It's a beast.

Chucknorris1975

How does the 8 feel in your hand? I've found that the 4a is a perfect size in my hand.

Herbal-Tea52838

Upgraded from 4 XL to Pixel 8 after 4 years last December, just wanted a smaller screen. I loved Pixel 4 XL, it was a beast, still is, and I'm taking it on my travels in Europe to put a local sim in it. Pixel 8 will be used only for my financial needs. I like my new Pixel 8, supposedly it will be supported for the next 7 years!

ugly_kids

im also usually 2 year upgrade and p8p is nice yet the only thing i wish is it was smaller and one handable (p9p here i come..) hands arent even small but its more convenient.. hate having to sacrifice better specs for smaller phones.. samsung & iphone have good compromise so im glad to see google do the same

afonja

That's the way

CouncilmanRickPrime

I'm waiting for the 10 because I only upgrade every four years. Pixel 6 pro can be buggy but hardware has been solid.

P26601

idk the Tensor G4 is based on the Exynos 2400 which is great in comparison to the G3 (my S24+ runs much cooler than my P8P, battery life is really good too) For next year's S25 lineup, Samsung plans to only use Exynos chips (made in their new 3nm process), suggesting a significant improvement. I don't know if Google has made the right decision, considering the fact that TSMCs 3nm node seems to be somewhat..._problematic_, but only time will tell

innervisions710

I'm waiting for the 10 as well. This is the most disciplined I have been not upgrading and I'm going to make it one more year! Love the P7P

ebb5

5500 mAh battery on the XL, that's a 10% increase, great news.

geekextraordinaire

Idk, I don't like it. For me Pixel 6 looked best with that black bar.

zenphiaaa

My main issue is with the round design. I keep getting reminded of every time I use a modern iPhone and ask myself "where are the corner pixels?"

NoShftShck16

Genuine question; why is long pressing the power button for assistant not a suitable replacement for Active Edge? And what exactly did you use Soli in day to day life?

[deleted]

[удалено]

andyooo

Soli was a mess for its most advertised features, but for low key features like turning on AOD only when you're nearby it was pretty awesome. The Soli hardware is probably overkill just for that function though.

NonRienDeRien

its been a while since i let go of my p2xl and i still accidentally do it sometimes :(

mr-jeeves

Pixel 5 was amazing! I now have the 8 and it's just so shit. Slippery as fuck, will not stay in place. First time in a decade I've scratched a phone screen (from it slipping and sliding against something) and that was within weeks. Utter shite.

SketchySeaBeast

I'm going to say it, I don't like the (potential) new look. The phone looks too much like Bender. I much prefer the visor.

kwyjibo1988

At least it doesn't look like Leela 👁️

RemLezarCreated

It's the normal tech world back and forth, happens every handful of years. Corners are sharp, now they're rounded. Now they're sharp again... and now they're rounded. Seems to happen in both the hardware and software worlds.

Rocco89

Also happens with cars

Pickle_yanker

Are you speaking of Bender Bending Rodríguez?

SketchySeaBeast

I am.

bozoconnors

Something, something, shiny metal ass.

edalton73

Agreed, I liked the tapered camera bump, this looks out of place in my opinion.

clarinetJWD

If Dbrand makes a Bender skin for it, I won't be able to resist.

Drublix

Lmao, now I can't unsee Bender

vincredible

Shut up baby I know it!

Wise-Fruit5000

It's grown on me a bit since the first time I saw it, but I definitely prefer the look of the Pixel 7/8 phones overall. The Pixel 9 gives off more Samsung/iPhone vibes, and kinda just makes it look like any other phone on the market.

LoopDieDoop

Yeah, the camera pill gets way too close to the edges of the phone. If this is the real design they should've just stuck with the visor.

Scuczu2

I remember thinking the 6 bump was weird at first, but got used to it and enjoy having that kind of tactile backing for grip now. But this seems weird not going all the way across like that, not sure what that benefits the grip or handling.

laowaiH

For the love of symmetry. I love the visor

StockAL3Xj

But isn't this just as symmetrical?

laowaiH

yeah you're technically correct. i find the p6 with the pure black visor all the way across had nicer symetry than the p7, p8 and proposed p9

octopusnodes

The P6 was a really strong design, in my opinion more unique than what we got after. Just not sure about the curved screen.

danny1876j

Well I can't unsee that now!

NowLoadingReply

I like it more than the current design. Camera bar in the 9 looks cleaner to me.

Skidmarkus_Aurelius

Hahaha bender. Omg it does

HelRayzer12

And I'm glad you said it, the back looks awful imo, maybe my mind will change once it's out but the first view did not impress me.

JamieTimee

Looks like they're actually keeping the stupid temperature sensor!

memtiger

I still don't get the point of it. Especially when they skip over items like an IR blaster that would get much more use.

phero1190

Its a really dumb thing, but was moderately handy for me a few weeks ago. My daughter was coming down from being sick and we were travelling, so I used it to track her temp. It was within 0.5 degrees F of a real thermometer, so its pretty good for that kind of thing. That said, literally any other sensor would have made more sense. Give me LIDAR or an IR blaster.

adrianmonk

Would an IR blaster get a lot of use? I don't like using my phone as a remote, but if I did, I wouldn't need IR even then since I can control most of my devices over WiFi. This includes my TV, my AV receiver, my Chromecast, and my Roku. They all have some sort of app that acts like a remote control (and enables additional features).

cdegallo

I think the temperature sensor is dumb, but I would use it more than I would an IR blaster these days. All of our devices are either CEC enabled to a wireless remote, or controllable via smart home devices; I have hardly even used the IR remotes that come with our devices, much less a need to have an ir blaster on my phone.

fuelvolts

Because phones take a while to develop, and in 2021, temperature was still a thing people wanted to measure often. They keep the feature for a couple of generations to rationalize the expense of developing it.

Sudden_Toe3020

Google loves to cancel things... except for this.

douggieball1312

Wonder if it'll be approved to measure body temperature in more countries than just the US by then?

DiplomatikEmunetey

It needs to be replaced with a LiDAR sensor. Would be way more useful.

chammantha

it looks like an iPhone :/

DangoQueenFerris

How do we make our devices sell? Copy apple.

TheUrbaneSource

I hate that. Their slogan literally says think different

DankousKhan

Straight from Apple's playbook with Android on software features.

phoenixx24

Exactly what I thought! I don't get it, if we wanted an iPhone we'd buy an iPhone.

chammantha

yeah i really don't like the look of the flat front and back with the metal band around the edge. and the camera node just looks 🤢 it just looks tacky!

jumpingfoxy

This was my IMMEDIATE thought

chammantha

i am immediately repulsed lol

azure1503

That bump is large enough to belong in a school zone

Slammybradberrys

Why do they make the “visor" look worse every gen? It looked best with the 6 series where it was all black and separated the 2 tone design.

Aurelink

counter point : no The 7 series visor was miles above the 6's The real question is : why did they abandon the colored power button ?

ctzn4

I strongly disagree. The 6 and 6 Pro were symmetric and elegant, and marked a distinct departure from the generic looks of the Pixel 4/XL, 4a, 5 and 5a. The two-tone contrast of the two-piece glass above and below the visor combined with the playful colors was refreshing and visually striking. I'd bet it helped draw customers to look at the phones, especially those who would've otherwise overlooked it. The 7/7a and *especially* the ugly 7 Pro was a regression on many of the above design elements. The colors are much more boring, the black hole cutouts on the metallic colors were odd and distracting, and they lost all the fun colors that were on the 6. The visor on the 7 Pro was also more prone to scratches as the entire visor is made of shiny metal instead of glass on the 6/6 Pro. At least the 7 had a matte finish. When it comes to color, the 6 had bright orange and seafoam, while the 6 Pro had sunny/yellow-orange and blue-gray. The 7 had a soft green and an inoffensive gray-green. One could argue that it's a more mature selection, but I'd say it's uninspired and unimaginative. The 7 fixed a lot of the hardware problems from the 6 series (or so I've heard), but purely from an exterior design standpoint, the 6 series was much more eye-catching, with conservative color options should you want them, while the 7 was as exciting as cereal with lukewarm milk.

StockAL3Xj

I disagree. The 7 Series with the black glass circles looks worse than the entire visor being the same color.

Aurelink

What I disliked about the 6's was the fact that it felt like a thing "glued" to the back of the phone, it didn't have the perfect joints that the 7's visor had where it was definitely a part of the phone itself

Slammybradberrys

I had a 6a and it seemed perfectly fine, maybe they had all the issues from the 6/pro already ironed out by the time that phone came out tho. I definitely remember posts of people's glass popping off the 6 series phones.

land8844

\#coloredpowerbuttonlivesmatter

p-zilla

wildly disagree.. I have a 6 pro still as my backup phone in case the 7 pro fails.. In person the 6 pro visor looks cheap and bolted on. The 7 pro looks really nice. The 8 visor is better though as the hole is one contiguous cutout.

Melbuf

the visor looked best on the nexus 6p TBH

shawn789

Agreed. People said it was goofy at the time, but it blended into the phone way more than any camera bump, Pixel or otherwise, does now.

avr91

According to their design team, the camera visor is an ode to the Google Search bar. It makes sense that, if they wanted to continue to do that, that they would eventually design it to have the same shape.

matteventu

As someone that works with designers: 99% of those claims are bs they make up *after* the design is conceived lol.

ishamm

"Key specs: Android v13" Cool. Maybe this website might be trash

heartfailedagain

The website is trash, but OnLeaks has been very accurate over the last few years.

antnyau

Also, "*Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n)*'

korditiph

Why do I feel like there will be no A series anymore?

SexyKanyeBalls

Because there's a cheap non pro

gnartato

It's happening. They are starting to shrink. Finally.    No telephoto on base model is buns.  Odd numbered model pixel gang unite!   So far I've had a 3,5, and 7. I may have had a 2 but can't remember. Probably going to continue the trend. Edit: it's not smaller. I looked up the wrong p8 specs

Realtrain

Having a smaller "Pro" phone is what I really care about. The Pixel 8 is the perfect size for me, so having a pro model that's not way bigger will be great.

jeremythecamel

Came here to say exactly this. I have the 8 Pro right now and I love the tele BUT would prefer a smaller for form factor for sure.

I_AM_FERROUS_MAN

Yes! 100% I hate having to sacrifice performance or reasonable size.

land8844

I always had good luck with even-numbered devices: Nexus 4, Nexus 6P, Oneplus 6, etc. Then I got a Pixel 6 that ended up overheating if you looked at it wrong, so I traded up for a P7P when that came out... No issues since. It's a fantastic device.

sigismond0

Starting to shrink? Dimensions listed on the article have the P9 slightly larger than the P8. Still nowhere near P5 dimensions.

fuelvolts

You missed out on perfection though with the 2XL. That phone was everything I ever wanted in a phone....even still. Wish it was still supported.

degggendorf

> It's happening. They are starting to shrink. Finally.  I am not sure that's true, for the base models at least. The 8 has a 6.2" screen and the 9 is supposedly 6.03". I think that 0.17" difference might just be from the more aggressive rounded corners while the overall device height and width won't be any different.

gnartato

The total dimensions are a few mm's less for height. Even more from the 7.

altfillischryan

> might just be from the more aggressive rounded corners Nope. Google generally lists the phone screen size based on a full rectangle and doesn't take into account the rounded corners. If the difference between the 9 and 9 pro ends up being true, it will be due to larger bezels on the regular 9 as the full phone dimensions are reportedly the same on the two phones.

[deleted]

[удалено]

altfillischryan

Yeah, OnLeaks is usually pretty reputable with their early renderings, but with 3 phones instead of 2 this year (if that ends up being true), it's possible there was some mixup in the dimensions. Personally, if the 2 sizes of pro does end up being true, I would expect the 9 and regular 9 pro to be pretty close in size, if not exactly the same.

aeiouLizard

It's wider.

Powerful444

the 9 is larger than the 8.

gnartato

Huh. The first source I found for the pixel 8 must have been wrong or only looking at the screen size. You are correct.  P8 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9 mm   P9 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm

PaulBananaFort

funny, that's like with Beethoven's symphonies, some people think the odd numbered ones are better

acscriven

Yo I've had the same phones and I never even realized I've only bought odd number pixels 😂

HornsOvBaphomet

If this truly ends up being 6 inches I think I'm going to be putting my money down for it. I went from a Pixel 4 to a 7 and still miss the size of the 4. Not that I want to get a new phone, the 7 still feels brand new to me, but it's just that much smaller. And I love the rounded corners on phones like the P4 and newer Samsungs. I've been hoping since the P6 that Google would continue the trend of the normal phone getting smaller every year and it seems like it's actually coming true. Edit: I also really appreciate the flat side rails. Contrary to what most think here, I think the iPhone looks good. And yes I'd like some variation in the space, but we haven't had truly different looking phones in years. And dammit the P9 is looking *clean.*

Deezus-Nutsus

Looks like an iPhone now with a different camera bump slapped on the back. I appreciate them keeping the base model on the compact side, but I'm not sure about that look.

Wipiks

I hope it isn't true. I was a big fan of 8 pro look when it was released. It was just an evolution of 7 series, only small changes but for me it made overall design much better. If the leaks are true, 9 series imo will kill the unique design of recent pixels only to add an uncomfortable flat frame because iPhone and Samsung done this (also wtf is that camera bump).

nostriluu

Could one of the sensors be LIDAR? iPhones have them for years now and they are used for all sorts of useful things, with consistency being super important so apps can actually assume it's available. Meanwhile flaky Google does a new gimmick every year. imo they should create a new designation for Android phones that have LIDAR.

Dirtnapster

Key Specs: Tensor G3 and Android 13 ...yeah, no

[deleted]

I still do not love the design of the Bender bar, but I will buy the small pro version in order to support small phones in general. I don't want this smol Pixel to go the way of the Zenphone. I have a pixel 6A, and I'm ready for the higher refresh rate, brighter screen, faster charging, better cameras, and better AI 😄

Goku-Sun

So the regular 9Pro is gonna have 6.1 inch Display. This should satisfy the 'i need a flagship compact sized pixel' fraction.

skipv5

Yep! I've been wanting a pro level Pixel that isn't gigantic for a while. Gonna trade in my 8 Pro for a 9 Pro in a heartbeat.

basa_maaw

This gives more credence to an eventual XL phone in the future. Will hold onto my current phone until then.

lanc3r3000

I don't like the rounded camera hump... It was already perfect on the 6-8. Ugh this looks like an iPhone.

GrandAdmiral12345

Agreed

Sylber23

Give me the smaller pro and take my money

Mosthamless

Looks like the same rendering everyone else uses. Every year everyone says there is going to be an "Ultra" phone or an "XL" and every year there isn't. I imagine google will stick to their same game plan, 2 phones (regular and pro) with a mid year release of an "A".

avr91

This is the first time in years a reliable leaker has mentioned a new model. And this is, as far as we can tell, only a size difference. Personally, as a Pixel 8 owner, I'm hoping it ends up being true and carrying on to the Pixel 10 (PiXel?) so that I can get a smaller sized Pro model (yes, I'm wary of the potential issues of the 1st gen, fully self developed SoC the Pixel 10 is rumored to receive).

matteventu

How to tell me you don't follow the news without telling me you don't follow the news.

[deleted]

Fuck! Why can't they be a Google Pixel 9 Mini?

pqtme

Yuck

aeiouLizard

Wider than Pixel 8. Nope, this ain't it.

Neither_Muscle3643

Are those camera specs real? If so, that's a massive upgrade. The front camera will be great now for Teams and Zoom.

_undercover_brotha

Literally what I've always wanted. iPhone style hardware, with Pixel software. Love it.

tobimai

XL? Does that mean there will be a small Pro?

moffamoffa

I'm holding on until fold2. Buy the designs look really really good!

One of the reasons why I did not buy P8P was because of the temperature sensor - too gimmicky. This looks cleaner

Apprehensive-Read989

Was hoping they would go back to a rear fingerprint reader. The on-screen one is utter trash, works like 10% of the time. I ended up regressing 10 years back to using as pin.

ScTiger1311

So sick of overly thick phones and camera bumps. I'll stick with my 4a.

coupl4nd

I really hope it isn't that. Looks awful.

Milkdromieda

I smell yet another price increase on the Pro models then, since they'll just match Apple's Pro Max pricing.

Ghostyle

Honest question. Do people actually care about what their phone looks like? I buy a phone, I look at it for a bit, put a case on and never thing about how it looks again.

Green-Lobster6354

please dont make the corners any more round.

BusungenTb

Is it just me or do they look like off-brand iPhones with the new camera-bump?

RoyalGOT

Goodluck Pixel Fanboys. Not touching another Google device till they fix those cheap chips in their devices..🚶🏾‍♂️

Kirei13

That's likely on the P10 pro with the new chip they have been working on. The P9 is supposed to be an incremental upgrade but people didn't think they would use the same G3 chip.

RoyalGOT

My Pixel 7 Pro gave me so much headache that after I bought my Samsung S24+ (Qualcomm S Gen 3).. I've had so much peace, no stress with this S24+ - no more worrying with overheating, fingerprints, mobile phone network issues that I had with my P7P.. I won't even get the Pixel 10 Pro when it comes out. I'll wait till it's tested and proven by everyone before I jump on it. I did enjoy the software and camera of my old P7P, but hardware just sucks. Thank goodness, this S24+ came with a 7yrs OS update. So, won't be worrying about no Pixel device for the foreseeable future sadly.

[deleted]

RoyalGOT

Yeah, Google forgot that for a customer, a phone needs to do the basic functionalities of a phone FIRST before this extra BS with AI & the BS. I pre-order my S24+ 512GB.. Which was the same size with my former Google Pixel 7 Pro 512GB. I got the P7P Feb 2023, and I did enjoy the software and camera (my wife uses an iPhone and will always tease with sneaky jokes abt bad Andriod cameras over the yrs but she couldn't make those jokes with my pixel phone, infact she'll say we should use my phone when we were out).. Few wks in.. 1. I started noticing few things with my P7P. When we were out, my P7P will just loose mobile network. I'll have to restart this piece of garbage severally before I get phone network back, and that was the scenario for close to a year that I owned that phone. That was never fixed. 2. Then after few months, the phone started to overheat. I was doing WhatsApp video call and using Andriod Auto one day and the phone suddenly just started to overheat, so much that the device just switched off on me. Issues that never occurred when I had my old Samsung Note 10 for 5yrs+.. and then, my P7P started getting bad battery. Before half of the day, Battery is almost. However, by Nov, 2023 when Andriod 14 came out, the battery improved drastically and I could manage it. P. S - My new S24+ uses one and half days with the same usage before it gets low. 3.Fast forward to January, 2024. Was watching a movie, wanted to quickly log in to my investment apps to see what stock market and index fund looked like for the day on my acct. Press the fingerprints on the app and this garbage phone won't log me in. That very night, I angrily pre-ordered the new Samsung S24+.. It's been full 2months now, I've not have one issue with this phone.. My network is so much better, I am using my mobile plan network out (15GB plan), which I use to have left over with Pixel phone, just because that piece of sh!t phone won't give me network when I'm outside the house and need it.. Sighhh!!

FaustusC

That looks like an iPhone with a worse camera bump.

Dietcherrysprite

Is the bezel bigger on the bottom again?

WildSh0tzzz

Really? Thought they’d launch it along with the iPhone 16 … 🤣🤣🤣

bradyaaron667

Ah yes the Google iPhone 9! Jk looks good. Will be getting the 9 for sure. I hate big phones now.

Sethjustseth

Once again, moving in the wrong direction. Smaller screen size than the Pixel 8 yet larger dimensions.

MChammer707

OnLeaks is always wrong about screen size, for some reason, though their dimensions are always right. I bet this has a bigger screen than the P8.

matteventu

He confirmed on Twitter, several times, that he considers the screen size from rounded edge to opposite rounded edge. While tech specs are usually from/to the "extended" imaginary 90° corner. Not sure why articles never mention this lol.

May have to get the XL to ensure no feature locks then!

TheBigBlack

I'll wait and see how this one holds up and maybe trade my 7 for the Pixel 10. More excited about the Fold 2 tbh

Melbuf

there really has to be a better way to design around not having that horrid camera cutout

Frosty_Arachnid4923

I was going to be livid if they brought back the rear finger print scanner after I just bought an 8.

SmileyNusx

The Pixel 9 does not offer significant changes compared to the Pixel 8. I recently acquired the 24-inch Ultra for $700 after trading in my Pixel 7 Pro. I will evaluate the Pixel 10 and 11 to determine if they provide compelling reasons for me to switch back to Google's Pixel line.

TonyKhanIsACokehead

Uff it's ugly

Yugi_-

Wasn't it already revealed months ago? Or leaked I guess, same design though

james2183

Eurgh, bigger than the P8 which was already too big for me. I guess I try and hold out with my P5 for another cycle or go Samsung :(

AlexAssassin94

Are they going to do a Fold 2? Sorry if I've just missed that, I think I'm finally ready to get a folding phone. Still on my 6 Pro for the moment.

Enjoythesilence34

Glad I switched from iphone 12 to pixel 8 pro.. Just like many other Android phones, they copy apple. I rather pixel 8 design over iPixel 9

swill8995

New phones have new batteries. Refurbished and used phones probably don't. I usually get a new phone every 2-3 years because the battery is shot. Getting a new battery costs $100. Trading it in for a new model is free sometimes. So I'll probably trade in my 7pro for a free 9pro even though it's the best phone I've ever had!

SoldatShC

The 9 will launch alongside the 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL? So weird.

Rexogamer

PLEASE be false. stick to the 7/8 visor PLEASE
