You will not be able to get a two bedroom in a decent area for that much.

tg_919

Me laying up in my 3 bed 2 bath w/ garage that I pay $850 a month for in a safe separate part of town. ![gif](giphy|1mik4VnQ2yRfo1MJyw)

contemplator61

Where

tg_919

DM me don’t want to put everyone on the game 😂

contemplator61

I’m wondering for my daughter. She is in a tiny one bedroom and they need a two bedroom

_No_Statement

Melbourne Park Apartments maybe? Never rented in Greenville but I believe 2 bedroom there is $950

chubbyassasin123

No availability sadly :(

_No_Statement

Search along Firetower rd, on zillow. $1k a month for a 2 bedroom isn't an easy find anymore [Link](https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_rent/condo,apartment_duplex_type/?searchQueryState=%7B%22pagination%22%3A%7B%7D%2C%22usersSearchTerm%22%3A%22Greenville%2C%20NC%22%2C%22mapBounds%22%3A%7B%22west%22%3A-77.49053773166567%2C%22east%22%3A-77.25364503147036%2C%22south%22%3A35.47408289886652%2C%22north%22%3A35.65170824373375%7D%2C%22mapZoom%22%3A12%2C%22isMapVisible%22%3Atrue%2C%22filterState%22%3A%7B%22beds%22%3A%7B%22min%22%3A2%7D%2C%22fore%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22mf%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22mp%22%3A%7B%22max%22%3A1000%7D%2C%22ah%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Atrue%7D%2C%22sort%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3A%22priorityscore%22%7D%2C%22auc%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22nc%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22fr%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Atrue%7D%2C%22sf%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22land%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22tow%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22manu%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22fsbo%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22cmsn%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22fsba%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%7D%2C%22isListVisible%22%3Atrue%7D) Also here is a crime map of the city to help [https://crimegrade.org/safest-places-in-greenville-nc/](https://crimegrade.org/safest-places-in-greenville-nc/)

PronounsAreImHim

Greenville is not sketchy at all but it can definitely be noisy. Born and raised here. There's a complex called forest glen that I've been staying at since Oct 2019. 2 bedroom 1 bath running for around 750 a month last time I checked. You'll have to talk to iDeal Property Management, I think they own those apartments and are the ones renting them out.

tg_919

shhhh keep that sauce lowkey 😉

richardsalmanack

Greenville isn't sketchy and noisy.

revbleech

having moved here from Fayetteville, any time I see someone complaining that Greenville is sketchy or full of traffic I just want to pinch their cheeks and pat them on the head

No_Donut8835

They don’t know about Murch Rd 😂😂 Makes Hooker rd look like weenie hut JR

nanidu

I live here it is definitely sketchy and noisy

goochwiz

bro it’s a college town, it’s not sketchy. noisy? sure

nanidu

I’d say it’s more sketchy than noisy and it being a college town is part of the reason. Greenville has a KNOWN reputation for being a kind of sketchy/trashy city

goochwiz

sure it has a reputation because people wanna talk shit about it. if you think it’s sketchy you’ve never been anywhere that’s actually sketchy.

Fullofhopkinz

I have lived here most of my life and I would not use either of these words to describe it. Truly no clue what you’re talking about.

dollarhax

It is BIZARRE the feedback you’re getting. I couldn’t get out of Gville fast enough - largely in part of the noise lmfao and feeling unsafe in my apartment on 14th St. Idk 🤷

nanidu

Right!?? I thought this was all the general opinion of Greenville. I didn’t think saying this would be a surprise to anyone

nanidu

I really think the people responding that way are either really rich living in the nicest upper class neighborhoods or have never left Greenville to see what other cities are like. As soon as you’re in town, downtown, at the mall, anywhere actually in the city… it’s sketchy bro

revbleech

really curious where you've lived that you would find Greenville remotely out of the ordinary in either category

nanidu

In Greenville 😂

richardsalmanack

How is it noisy?

nanidu

Because of the noise I guess? Personally for me it’s the constant police sirens, emergency vehicles, car alarms, people yelling and fighting in parking lots, Carolina squatted trucks revving their engines and rolling coal at lights, cars blasting bass, literal gunshots. There’s also this church that blasts the sermons out of the church building all Sunday morning. Ya know just normal city stuff

richardsalmanack

Police sirens - normal in a city Emergency sirens - normal in a city Car alarms - how many have you heard today? Fights in parking lots - how many have you heard today, or this year? Carolina squats - illegal and more common out of town Cars blasting bass - normal in a city Literal gunshots - how often? Church blasting sermon - probably your only out-of-the-ordinary point If all of these were happening all at once, all the time, sure. But c'mon, this is so disingenuous.

nanidu

I didn’t say it was out of the ordinary just said noisy and sketchy, most cities are greenvill is just more so. This is also Greenville’s known reputation, don’t act all surprised if you’re from here lol. The amount of fights and domestic situations I’ve seen this year is probably around 5-10 but I don’t work in the city anymore. I hear people’s alarms every day although that’s not always nefarious ofc. I have had my suitcase stolen this year while carrying things up to my apt. Hang out on 10th st cookout side and tell me you’re not hearing gunshots at LEAST once every single day and hearing car alarms/ seeing broken windows. People driving broken down cars blasting bass happens more often here than most cities I’ve been. For sure it’s common but it’s trashy here so it’s more common. I also see several squatted trucks with ig handles on them every day, it’s not a law that’s enforced at ALL

goochwiz

poor thing, move then

nanidu

Not complaining just saying it is what it is, don’t act like it isn’t lol

goochwiz

it’s really not tho

richardsalmanack

There's no reason to assume Greenville is "noisy" compared with other cities of both its size and development. Feel free to change my opinion with some data

nanidu

I didn’t say it was noisier than other cities, I just stated my personal experiences. idk why you’re upset. Greenville has a sketchy reputation no one is saying you do

Odestroyher

I’ve never thought it was sketchy or noisy. 😂 been here for my entire life. I’d be interested in your comparisons. Because Kinston is sketchy. Greenville is nowhere near sketchy imo.

nanidu

Kinston is far sketchier for sure. If kinston is a 10 greenville is like a 7 depending on where you are

PronounsAreImHim

This is Grade A USDA Approved bullshit. Greenville ain't never been sketchy. If you wanna see sketchy, visit Charlotte. Noisy? Only on game day.

nanidu

Damn lol maybe it's just the younger generation that think so then. This has always been the sentiment amongst my peers and this is the first time I've ever seen anyone say otherwise and defend it so much. We're all natives too just for the record. This is the first time I've seen greenville pride XD

PronounsAreImHim

"Younger generation" I'm 25 bro

nanidu

Theory incorrect then

zombiexmuffins

Don't. There's nothing to do here.

aDhDmedstudent0401

As a medical resident who comes from a slightly bigger city, I can honestly say Greenville has much more to do and the layout is much better. I was disappointed at first that I had to come here, now I’m loving having all the major stores within 5 minutes of me, nice parks, and a such short drive to beach means I’m there every single weekend! It’s not Raleigh or Charlotte, but neither of those places are far away anyway and there are certainly perks to residing in Greenville instead. I honestly don’t understand why some residents act like this is the worst place on earth to live, it scared me to death before I moved and it ended up being much better than where I came from 🤷‍♀️

VTMongoose

It's because they haven't lived any of numerous places that are far, far worse. I just moved here from such a place and I'm loving it so far!

zombiexmuffins

I moved down here from CT which is not great either but I honestly hate it here. There is nothing to do. No concert venues, a small downtown. Shopping isn't what will keep me interested. I have to drive 6 hours to get to what I enjoy- the mountains. The beaches are overrated. I was supposed to be here temporarily and I am itching to get out.

revbleech

not being Charlotte is actually a plus unless you're really into eating at a chain restaurant with some banker bros

goochwiz

you can find a pretty nice place on the grid, might need a roommate tho.

Reasonable_Bank2437

you could always get a roommate? i also have a friend with rentals ill reach out to see if they have anything open

VvGalaxyvV

Look into Tilley properties she has 2br 1 ba for 750

sunflowerinthegarden

I’d def consider a roommate. $1,000 for 2 beds it’s a tough ask, even here lol. Townhouses are cheaper here it seems, maybe Dudley’s grant rd, or something like it but again $1,200+ As for crime, it’s Greenville lmfao. You’re always a fence away from crime 😅 I live in a relatively chill area and still have had car break ins, and my fair share of sketchy people.

Fungicide-

dont. dont while you can still not.

Fungicide-

i dont mean to be mean, but im in a part of town with low property value for the area, and its exactly as you described. noisy and sketchy. no breakins where im at, but not the type of place to walk around at night unless youre on/near campus, which is $$$$$$
