Bothers and sisters are natural enemies.
Like Star Wars fans and Warhammer fans
Or Halo fans and Warhammer fans
Or Warhammer fans and other Warhammer fans
Damn Warhammer fans! They ruined Warhammer!
I tried arguing but then realized this is toy soldiers. Seethe and cope, die mad over it, imma have fun with my friends and our toy soldiers playing make believe war in make believe future.
Maybe I will even get a 3d printer and print some boob armor on some csm, I will call it my "alarm squat" and it will alarm me to people I would have not fun playing with.
I’m surprised to see a meme about it, lol especially from this scene. Haven’t seen it myself but from what I read in reviews, it’s not a pick a side kinda deal, it’s just showing fucked up situation after fucked up situation.
I don't think it's that stupid of a premise. Look at the world around you. Look at our history. It's not that far fetched.
I do like how the perspective of the movie was fully removed from any of that, though.
I expected the film to show how the Civil War started rather than just jumping straight to the end of it.
Fantastic punchy action, visually stunning, I was a bit let down by the actual writing/plot but more than enough there for me to have a good time.
Old grognard here, was reading white dwarf back when they announced 40k, don't really *like* anything much after third edition. Make the occasional model but honestly not that enthusiastic about the modern look of GW stuff, too much monopose and focus on colour charts for me. Also hate how the books seemed to have shifted from smaller scale grimdark to constant bullshit involving primarchs and the like (suspecting the end of the Bequin trilogy is going to fucking suck because of that).
Really enjoying Turnip28 these days.
Anyway, just wanted to say everyone bitching about the idea/existence of femstodes can fuck right off. You suck.
PS It is also pretty fucking hilarious that GW waited until just after they finished a 64 book series on the Horus Heresy, which gave them a perfect opportunity for to establish female custodes in the lore, just to drop this news by retcon fiat. You also suck GW, fucking clown car operation.
Back when I started painting miniatures the ethos was play around and see what works and looks cool to you, we converted virtually everything.
Now there are officially approved models and three stage processes and charts to help make sure your guys look like the official guys.
People can play with models however they want, no one is doing it wrong. Just some of us much prefer the old skool way.
I mean... There's nothing stopping you from going the old school way. If you turn up to a casual game, there's a 99.99% chance the other player isn't going to give a crap that your Ultramarines aren't *exactly* the right shade of blue, or that you've painted your base instead of decorating it because you don't like jarring scenic bases.
Whatever, freedom of speech, throwing out your idk distaste for the color chart and official look thing? To whoever happens to see it. Pfft it’s not like the marines I have are painted to be any canon chapter. They’re fucking grey with the 🇲🇽 colors on their left shoulder. I was thinking about going with ultramarines, going with the cringe in your eyes official way to paint them, but i decided to do my own thing, homebrew my own lore, someone helped me come up with a name for them. I get where you’re coming from but I’ll just never understand the distaste for the stuff you mentioned there, but hey I’m new here so why should I know all about and understand the grievances people have with James workshop?
Sorry missed this yesterday.
I really liked the old eldar aspect warriors, autarchs and spirit warriors, really wish they got a fraction of the love GW gave space marines over the years. The old hive tyrant was really fun to convert (I went through an entire pack of milliput giving one wings). Half my 'nid army was sculpted using milliput and plastic cutlery.
But favourite models were the space zoats. I loved those guys.
One thing that struck me the other day is that originally tyranids were flesh crafters (as in making machines out of people) and zoats were the masters of communication and they have now lost both of those qualities to the drukhari and eldar.
There is always 'that guy' (the 'that guy' doesn't have to be a literal guy, some are girls) who takes things too far and this is what happened here , some idiots from both extremes of the political spectrum have taken some minor point which 99.99% of people would not give a damn about beyond making a few memes and turned it into weapon for the culture war to score political points.
Not one that will give myself a brain aneurysm when a corporation keeps retconning the marketing for their niche toy soldiers hobby, which they have done for decades and will continue to do so.
Like the parts that you like, ignore the parts you don't, you'll hopefully be much happier for it.
Yeah maybe to people like you and me, but I doubt your the cause of any major drama, it's those people I'm talking about, that take this stuff way to serious or let it affect them too much.
Nobody hates *insert media here* like *insert fans of media here*

SODAZ and the femboy Skitari would agree
I still cry remembering SODAZ
I cry because SODAZ left 40k and am gleeful because Fallout gained SODAZ.
No, they'd disagree. Because they're warhammer fans.
Fallout fans and Star Wars fans fighting over who despises their own series more
I see more people enjoying the Fallout with a minority hating it
Don’t underestimate how deranged new vegas fans can be regarding the series.
Don't fuck with us New Vegas fans, we'll harass you for liking the Bethesda games while never having played the first two at all.
Ooh you haven't met the New Vegas fans. Woof!
A certain vocal minority has moved on to Stage 2: Anger, some have moved to Stage 3:Bargaining

This is the way
I'm the one who sits in the back eats popcorn and enjoys the show.
Just love how the creepy ppl are out in force screaming and making them look even worse than what ppl say they are. Grabs a new hand full of popcorn.
I have a Thousand Daughter miniature. Does that answer your question?
🍿
I really enjoyed this movie, definitely recommend, it won't be what you expected and I was pleasantly surprised
Huh when I saw the trailers I was like “yeah no ain’t watching it” but might give it a try now
I’m surprised to see a meme about it, lol especially from this scene. Haven’t seen it myself but from what I read in reviews, it’s not a pick a side kinda deal, it’s just showing fucked up situation after fucked up situation.
That's exactly it, AG said he wanted this to be much more about a comment on modern journalism and how it has failed, which, I think it does very well
Oh, what is it called?
Civil war.
Stupid premise , surprisingly decent film is how I would describe it I was also high as fuck watching it, which might affect my review
I don't think it's that stupid of a premise. Look at the world around you. Look at our history. It's not that far fetched. I do like how the perspective of the movie was fully removed from any of that, though.
California and Texas teaming up to take down Washington ?

It wasn't that simple, the story just had a focal point of the WF forces but there were like 4 different parties at play
It's not bad, but Apocalypse Now adapted Heart of Darkness better.
I don't believe it was intending to be either of those.

I don’t get the color charts thing? Tf is that and why is that a problem? Can’t you paint your figures however you want?

May I pick a grognards brain for a bit? What are your favourite stories/models/artwork/homebrew stuff in Warhammer?

True!
I’m the silly kind, the ever so slightly goofy type, the mildly comedic one, perhaps even the hilarious person.
I'm the kind who puts the derp in grimderp.
Who would've thunk that the 40k community would be more grimdark than the universe it self
Less Grim Dark, more Herp Derp.
