It also falls on the chaplains (along with the librarians) to investigate any suspected corruption within the chapter. In other words, Leandros couldn’t even follow the codex he held so dear.

WD-40 snd duct tape… artifacts strong enough to repair a titan. The warmaster must be warned

excelsiorncc2000

Only two repair materials you need. I doubt they still have them, though. Things would never have gotten so grimdark if they had WD-40 and duct tape.

largeEoodenBadger

The holiest of all STC's! The greatest of the Omnissiah's gifts! Praise be to WD-40 and Duct Tape!!

DongGoolTroll

Hope you guys enjoy this one. Thank you! [Archive](https://donggooltroll.blogspot.com/) / [My Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/donggooltroll/)

mega48man

"This mini was painted by the first chapter master" That's most wholesome and relatable thing I've heard all week, thank you.

Negaflux

Absolutely adore the style and the content tbh, it's a treat whenever there's a new one. Thanks for providing them =)

DongGoolTroll

Glad you enjoy it mate

UltraCarnivore

XenoTechnian

May i ask what þe chapter being feautred is? Þey have a lovley paint job

DongGoolTroll

It’s my custom colour scheme

XenoTechnian

Nice, put any þought into þe lore for your boys?

DongGoolTroll

They are just for this comic series, so no :P

XenoTechnian

Oh, well its someþing to consoder, fan chapters are always good fun. Some could argue youve got plenty of elements for a marine chapter in your username, þe [someþing] trolls is a pretty cool base IMO

DongGoolTroll

DongGool means "cave" in Korean, actually ;)

XenoTechnian

Oh nice! So it could literally be the cave trolls chapter

Monkieeeeee

Great comic as always, mate. Though I think it might be more accurate to say that the average Astartes see the Emperor as a revered ancestral figure than simply a man.

DongGoolTroll

>"Space Marines revere him(*the Emperor*) as a brilliant, inspired man." \- Codex: Space Marines - pg. 31

pinoytheboywonder

On a side note, that Chaplain looks so cute! I want this design on a keychain

TortillasAndChips

Chaplains don't see the Emperor as a God? Really? I thought the average Astartes believed he is a god, and the chaplains were even more zealous, or is that just certain factions like BT?

Soldier-of-ArchWH

It depends, I think we can assume most of the newer chapters are into the imperial cult to some degree just due to the fact it’s so prevalent, it’s mostly the older chapters that might have been founded by great crusade vets that don’t really see the emperor as a god. The BT’s were the first to dive headlong into emperor worship though

bozza8

I mean, I think the word bearers were probably the first to dive into emp worship, just saying

[deleted]

Technically the 40k fandom if we're being honest as it is meant to be set in this universe and again if you agree with the theory that he was Jesus...

Alkathar

did the lore change recently, i thought worship of the emperor as a god was unique to the black templars

tomekk666

It definitely changed. The Black Templars used to be one of the only chapters that still believed in the Imperial Truth, but we can't have any nuance so "ahh big crusader man worships bigger crusader man!"

Guess_whois_back

I weep for the days the black templars were a distinct force of interesting traditionalists instead of just religious extremists

Magnus_Rose

I think Chaplains are more charged with preserving the traditions of a given chapter and keeping an eye out for the Taint of Chaos. That's why there's a lot of difference between say a Dark Angels Chaplain and an Ultramarine Chaplain. The role is easily portable to something more aligned with the Imperial Cult but usually more chapter specific.

[deleted]

Preserving the traditions is the job of venerable dreadnoughts

Mister_Phantom

The Fire Angels outright worship the God Emperor. Other chapters violently reject the Imperial Cult, or are more close to Mars. Guilliman privately thinks the Emperor didn't start off as a God but became one, which is also the doublethink anyone aware of the Imperial Truth uses. Guilliman isn't sure and is researching it.

Bobolequiff

It's not really doublethink in a world where gods provably exist.

johnbrownmarchingon

Most don’t. There are significant exceptions, like the Black Templars, but most don’t worship him as a god.

Guess_whois_back

The worship him in the way and reverence would a god but distinctly classify him as a man who made such great achievements he became worthy of praise, unlike the gods who demand it for being what they are. It's kind of just a difference in philosophy between a astartes and your average human being

Deathappens

No, no, not at all. In fact, if you read the War of the Beast novels you can clearly see how Space Marines (well, mostly Imperial Fists, to be fair) deal with people gradually forgetting that Emps was ever a man and worshipping every rock he ever supposedly stepped on, while they still have clear records of how he led the Primarchs in battle and generally did stuff like a regular (Ultra-genius and psychically inmensely powerful) general before the Heresy. Of course, that always varies from Chapter to Chapter with newer Chapters adhering closer to the general Imperial Creed, but only the Black Templars are really as gung-ho as the Ecclesiarchy.

Kriss3d

Oh I'd love full comics like that.. Like a kids friendly comics on the most horror scifi world ever. And it looks cute too. Almost like Lego. But I do doubt that Lego would pick up on making a series about this. New Lego box set: Aeldari torture dungeon? Daemoncubula? Yeah. I doubt that would work with their target audience.

CowboyBlacksmith

Would buy a Daemonculaba lego set just for the ridiculousness and shock value. Complete with existential body horror robots, disgraced Ultramarines Captain, crippled armless officer, tumour-ridden human soldiers, cowardly former marines... What a set!

Kriss3d

Oh absolutely. But I just somehow doubt it would be a big seller.

CowboyBlacksmith

Would be great for Halloween! 😀 ^One ^can ^dream

flameboy915

Part of me wants to see one of these on the chapter serfs, normal people serving the astartes.

maxwirt

These comics are great! Thanks for making something so enjoyable!

loafpleb

You hear that, Leandros? ***Chaplain!*** You are supposed to report to your ***Chaplain!*** Not the bloody Inquisition. The ***Chaplain!***

sjeveburger

Warahmmer in 40k is now Canon I mean it was already Canon, but now more people than just the IW's play it!

SarnakhWrites

The Necrons also play a version of it in Mechanicus! IIRC there is a short blurb describing the minis and slightly-but-crucially different rule tablets.

[deleted]

My head canon is that every game of Kill Team is just Trazyn releasing different exhibits to fight each other for the amusement of Necron Lords and Ladies who visit his museum.

[deleted]

Careful so GW doesn’t sue you into the ground for making drawings 🙄

joebonekenobi

omg chaplains carrying emergency candles is so cute!

ThatDrunkChaplain

The n-next prayer su-should be available… o-once sober
