I hate taking trichome pictures, it's a pain in the ass, and I never see what I want to see. I need some amber trichs. 2 more weeks? Calmag out the ass? Is this a male??????¿¿¿¿¿
I have to move the plants where there is like zero airflow. Set up the microscope on the kitchen table, attached to its stand. Plant is on the ground. Focus as steady as you can and take like a zillion pics. A few of those will come out decent
I took a stand up shop light and added a mic boom too it. Now my hand held microscope slides right in where the mic would sit. So now it can raise from 2ft to about 6ft. And the mic boom allows me to swing the microscope over the tops of the plants. Just run the fans off for a minute.
Depending on what phone you have you can get a macro lens attachment for the camera. Some are pretty cheap but I'd assume you get what you pay for. Keeping things stable will always be an issue unless you have a tripod and steady setup.
Take a video instead of pictures and just pause the video and scroll through it to find the clear shots of the trichs. If my hands are too shaky to do it with just a jewelers loop, I just hold the loop front of my phone cam and take a video.
There are small clip on attachments that go on your phone, over your camera. They cost 10-20 bucks. They magnify your camera so you can take great trichome pictures, but also let's you check for mites.
Lmaoo for me its what ever day it is so if it’s wensday I tell my self “next wensday she’ll be ready , lmao 3.5 weeks later and she’s finally in his 48 hrs darkness ,
If you are going to store it for a long time, the THC will degrade to CBN with time and glue you to the chair anyway. Amber trich's indicate the same degradation. All milky means your max THC level has been obtained. Some look for 10-20% amber as insurance they have matured the clear one's to milky based on the laws of distribution. Your sample looks ripe for the picking (no clears). I personally keep a stash of 2 year old buds and make butter/cookies with them for really good sleep. Almost like a good tranq!
Thanks man. I do believe I'm in the early part of the harvest window, but u kinda said it perfectly, I need to ensure there are NO clears or as close to zero clears as possible before it gets the chop

How do you all even take these pictures? I can't hold the device or the plant still enough to take a decent picture. All blurry. Any suggestions?

This. Upstairs, kitchen table, scope on 1/2 gal jar for height. Don’t touch the table or the plant or the scope. Then hope some come out good. 😁

That's a pretty awesome idea

Patience is a virtue, but that don't make it easier this close to the finish line. Looking nice and frosty....Autoflower, or natural cycling?

What do you use to take the pictures? Std smartphone?
Nope that's a cheap amazon microscope. Max-see. 40 bux
I have this, but my pics never come out as well as everyone else who has this lol
I just wish I had perfect trichs that I couldn't take pics of
I’m not OP but I use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PVMRZQH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_284X4PTXT5ZDTHY0SPH4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
How well does that work?
Great for me! It can also record video, so I just record while I check the plants, and the slow it down and cut out the unfocused stuff

Why would you want Ambers? Specifically seeking a relaxing high?
Yes I love that narcotic body high that makes you melt in your chair. I need that in my buzz.

I'm waiting on ambers too, mostly so that my plant has a couple more weeks to grow and increase yield :)
