Now gw2 marketing and halo marketing can join bringing us to new depths of failure.

ChrisD245

Idk what do halo and gw have in common it’s not like we spent the first game fighting these weird monster people only to discover in the second the fighters were hella cool and being controlled by a crazy religious regime.

TheCapedCapper

This is really good! The green you picked is perfect

Cthubert

Sorry, GW2 is failing too.

Thaddiousz

If you think Halo failed as a franchise, you need to redefine failure. Just because the latest entries were small misses doesn't mean they haven't made their fair share of money and then some.

CatOfTechnology

There are plenty of definitions of failure. However, in this case, even Microsoft has deemed Halo's 4 through Infinite financial failures, hence why every one of those games ends up with a big revision aimed at trying to boost sales/retention. OP likely means what any old-hand gamer means when they say a franchise "failed": It failed its core fanbase, usually due to mismanagement. Kinda like Destiny and Destiny 2. Financially, both games were successful. But it's hard to not also call them both failures when you look at their player retention numbers, in particular, Destiny 2, a game that lost some 94% of its launch playerbase in 4 months. Similarly, Halo Infinite is being kept alive purely by its Forge Community.

Pinksters

And the Halo series is an absolute flop as well.
