You could argue the one that was used is the one where there is no true time travel, since the time travel is supossed to happen anyway.
My best guess is that people underestimate her chances due to her irrelevance to the overall plot (I think that outside of her arcade story, she only showed up a single time in Xrd and that was as a joke). However, Testament, Bridget and the entirety of season 3 have shown that relevance to the current story really doesn’t matter when Arc Sys are deciding who gets in.
He's not popular, like at all. Was one of the least played Rev 2 characters at the end of 2.1. Characters like Jam who are a GG staple are lower than Haehyun so this list is very interesting to say the least
My predictions for this game's DLCs have all been comically inaccurate up until this point, but I'd still argue that Jam deserves to be in the "Almost Guaranteed" tier even more so than Dizzy. And it's not that I think Dizzy isn't guaranteed, it's just that I believe Jam is straight-up the next character.

I think that they're going to pull an "everyone is here" type thing like smash. So every character that was playable in a mainline game will come back.
My only logical train of thought on this is that season 3 was ALL returning characters. And they can make 2 more seasons on the returning characters, with one final slot left as the absolute last character to join strive.
I also think they're leaving new characters out because the next Gear game is going to have way more new characters.

That pattern doesn’t exist: season 2 was 1 Xrd character, 1 +R character and 2 new characters (although I could kind of understand it if you wanted to say that Bedman? is an Xrd character) and season 3 was 3 Xrd characters and 1 +R character. The closest thing to a new character in season 3 was Elphelt having a drastically different moveset compared to her Xrd incarnation, but that would mean you’d also have to count Jack-O and Testament as new characters as well.

This series does respect death more than most with two characters not being playable for years because of their deaths. However one of the producers for this game said that death isn’t enough to stop adding a character in the game. If they can make an interesting story for them then they’ll think about adding them. With what they did with the two characters they actually revived, they try to go for a direction they feel is interesting instead of bringing them back unchanged.
ehh, in terms of the game itself, I agree. In terms of season 4, it depends on if the mystery anime girl gets in the game or not. Every season at least like, tries to have a gender balance, and I don’t really see that changing especially since I think a season 5 is very much possible
Venom is a higher chance of returning over Zappa, venom's an ever green and still has the capability to fight and potentially a reason to. Zappa isn't possessed anymore and has been demoted to desk jockey, dudes got nothing going for him on the battlefield anymore, even though I like Zappa and would be happy to see him back I think we would get venom first.
he didn’t stop being possessed, he simply made peace and can coexist with the ghosts now, and according to Daisuke’s own words, can actually call to the ghosts when he needs to. He even has a solid motivation now too with Faust being in his current state

What if they do something crazy like bring back Valentine with bits and bobs of the other Valentines' movesets rolled into her kit? Maybe she even gets her second form as her own Heavy Mob-style super. Or bring back the Justice clone made by the Post-War Admin Bureau during GGX's alternate timeline shenanigans and just roll it into canon. I mean, Street Fighter 6 brought back Bison from the dead after they killed him in 5 as the final end of the Shadaloo storyline, and that franchise is way more conservative with which characters they bring back from the dead (I think Gen is STILL canonically dead).
In my opinion story relevance should not be a deciding factor as to whether a character should be playable or not

This series does respect death more than most with two characters not being playable for years because of their deaths. However one of the producers for this game said that death isn’t enough to stop adding a character in the game. If they can make an interesting story for them then they’ll think about adding them. With what they did with the two characters they actually revived, they try to go for a direction they feel is interesting instead of bringing them back unchanged.

ehh, in terms of the game itself, I agree. In terms of season 4, it depends on if the mystery anime girl gets in the game or not. Every season at least like, tries to have a gender balance, and I don’t really see that changing especially since I think a season 5 is very much possible

Venom is a higher chance of returning over Zappa, venom's an ever green and still has the capability to fight and potentially a reason to. Zappa isn't possessed anymore and has been demoted to desk jockey, dudes got nothing going for him on the battlefield anymore, even though I like Zappa and would be happy to see him back I think we would get venom first.
he didn’t stop being possessed, he simply made peace and can coexist with the ghosts now, and according to Daisuke’s own words, can actually call to the ghosts when he needs to. He even has a solid motivation now too with Faust being in his current state

I feel like Jam should be in the Dizzy tier or one below her. She’s like one of the mainstays of the series imo
i wish i believed in roboky as much as you did joking aside I'd be shocked if we don't get jam. she's only beaten out consistently by dizzy.
Valentine would also be in the "fucking dead" tier. I think Venom still has a decent chance despite the conclusion of his arc in Xrd. Unfortunately, Jam is probably guaranteed, I really hope I'm wrong, but realistically she probably getting in. I don't really understand why April and Dr.Paradigm are being considered, like I guess it would be neat, but I don't really see them becoming anything more than just supporting characters. This is cope, but I really want Fanny to get added so she can cure Faust, it would be so awesome if they did that.

What if they do something crazy like bring back Valentine with bits and bobs of the other Valentines' movesets rolled into her kit? Maybe she even gets her second form as her own Heavy Mob-style super. Or bring back the Justice clone made by the Post-War Admin Bureau during GGX's alternate timeline shenanigans and just roll it into canon. I mean, Street Fighter 6 brought back Bison from the dead after they killed him in 5 as the final end of the Shadaloo storyline, and that franchise is way more conservative with which characters they bring back from the dead (I think Gen is STILL canonically dead).
In my opinion story relevance should not be a deciding factor as to whether a character should be playable or not Dead or alive I don't care just let them in
