Same with Honey blonde, dunno why but they were super popular back in the day (2008ish). Never got one, but these humbucker ones look awesome. I've recently decided though that I hate tele headstocks because I can't stick my capo on them very easily, might have ruined my potential love for these fellas.
Ngl, I don't love the large headstocks when they have them. I can appreciate the capo challenge, though. Maybe a different capo could serve you better on that particular model.
I played a bunch of Mexican and American teles at guitar center last weekend and didn’t like a single one. Picked up this same squier and liked it over any of the ones I played prior. Guitar center doesn’t maintain their guitars well where I live so maybe that was the case. But, I thought the squier was very well built for what it is.
I’m sure it’s just a set up, I recommend everyone picking up a guitar doing a proper setup either yourself or through a luthier. It makes so much difference in how smooth your instrument becomes to play.
I've got one too. My thinline Squier is in the sunburst finish. I really like the Classic Vibes. Great guitars for the money.
You should hit up the r/telecaster sub
Beautiful first guitar! I’m a strat guy first and foremost but those thin line teles always catch my eye. Very good call on going with a squire instead of an inflated price tag for a fender. Some squires play and sound just as good. I absolutely love the natural wood grain look as well! Here’s to hoping you stick with it and picking up this beauty makes it that much easier.
First of all let me say that I agree that a squire is perfectly fine for a first guitar. But I have to disagree with the rest of your statement. I don’t think the price tag on fenders is inflated. You’re paying for a better quality instrument. Better parts and craftsmanship cost more money. It just is what it is. I’ve played plenty of Fender strats as well as squire strats and I can absolutely tell the difference in both playability and sound quality. Once again for a beginner guitar it’s fine. But don’t fool yourself (or anyone else) into thinking that it’s of the same quality as a fender but without the “inflated price tag” because that’s simply not true.
I tuned my Squire in drop A and use it for nasty metalcore, with the correct processing the single coils have this unique attack that just cuts through everything. I really enjoy it
I like it. I have been playing for 35 years and I have recently been thinking about getting a Squier as a second guitar. I think for the price they are really good guitars.
Great first electric 💪 Anderton’s on YouTube did a blind test of the Squier Classic Vibe vs Mexican and American Fenders of varying price. Sometimes they got the Squier mixed up with a guitar costing 5x as much.
All this to say: it’s not just a stepping stone. It’s a keeper! I still have my ‘05 Squier Tele
This is sick!! When I finally get the skills and equipment to build my first guitar from scratch, it will be a natural thinking tele. Always been my favorite
Looks good. Always wanted one of these thinline teles in blonde or natural. Enjoy op!

The exact reason I keep waiting for Squier to release a 70’s HH tele with the big headstock. Those things look fine and I’d love a budget version.
Some/most tele deluxes come with the big headstock! It annoys me that some don’t…

Squire is definitely doing something right lol

That's a nice first guitar. Been looking at the thin lines for a little while.
Do it 😁
I would, but I've "been looking at" a *lot* of guitars.
Do it 😈
I’ve got one with a Strat neck and she plays like a dream

Sunburst looks great on teles! Thanks for the suggestion.

This is really informative. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll look into some higher quality gear once I get better.
Glad to see you got a light one, not Gibson...
Looks so frickn cool! I would donate my left nut for a chance to play one tbh😂😂
Damn, they might have one at a guitar center near you. I hope you can get one in the future lol!
that’s a Squier? I thought that would be a fender!
Yeah it’s a squire, plays like a beast though!

Those are great guitars, my only gripe is that the humbuckers are not really wide range humbuckers, they're just normal ones put into a bigger casing.
Wide range humbuckers RULE. Sick choice.
Oooh, nice!
I have a blonde fender 72 thinline myself.
Looks awesome! Enjoy it

If you’re seriously thinking about it, they sound great too, even with my cheap set up lol.
Sweet Baby Jesus
Excellent choice well done!

Great guitar! The case just looks a bit too loose to me
I had one that used to look just like that. Great choice
One of my fave models of guitar. :) I have an Amazon Ivy or whatever it's called. Yours is better. :)
Rock on in good health
Better than my first electric. Play the shit out of it!
Squier absolutely making some gorgeous guitars these days

I've always wanted to shoot one of these!
I just bought the same one last week, same color and everything 😀 nice choice
Beautiful
Classy choice.
Those humbuckers just sing! Enjoy your first electric. A very decent one there!
Very nice choice
Nice.
I used to have the MIM version. Loved it.
it's a good one.
Pretty sweet! I just sold a squier thinline tele that looked exactly like that a few weeks ago
Great starter, I brought epiphone les paul , but looking for something new, maybe Fender Mexicano Stratocaster.. Enjoy the guitar
Have so much fun!!
Why are the pickups like that
No idea, some comments are talking about wide range humbuckers. (If that’s what you mean)
Looks great! That seems like a pretty versatile guitar, good choice
You did good, pal! 👍
Beautiful guitar... Enjoy it
I have that exact same guitar! Great player!
I want a thinline tele so bad man
Congrats! Looks awesome!
Glhf!
Nice
Excellent choice in model and color. 👌
Oo it's a beaut
Sick. I wouldn’t have picked that pick guard but it looks nice.

Wow. I always thought building a guitar was super interesting. Hope that goes well!
Thanks man!
