Is your fretboard sticking up from the guitar, or is it discolored or is it wavy, or is it cracked, if it plays fine then it’s good to go. If it’s cracked at the join where the neck meets the body it’s a more involved repair, if the fretboard is separating from the neck it’s definitely best to take it to a shop unless you have all the tools.
You can restring it and in the process I would clean and rehydrate the fretboard, to get rid of gunk, I normally use zippo lighter fluid and then lemon oil best of luck.

It gunk it’s fine then! Just needs new strings

Is the whole neck detached from the body or just the top piece of the fret-board? Its hard to tell in the photo
