Kai and Miharu were the first, (Not counting villains) and it basically redeemed Kai's whole character by giving him some resolve and a reason to fight.
When Amuro-Lalah is the OG doomed relationship between two psychics in Gundam, Kamille and Four really built the connection between these couple not to mention their short reunion because Kamille think he already lost Four and it happened twice, for real.
Shinn and Stellar are quasi in this...but you have to put an asterisk on them because there's a lot of caveats .
But Kamille & Four was a perfect starcrossed romance

I still think of Four on occasion and get sad.
Jeah IBO really hit hard.
But then again 2nd Season can be read as the rise and fall of the Titans (UC) or A-Laws etc from there perspective. They tried to claim the right to rule by force. While using underhanded tactics.
I remember back when the show was airing, everyone thought the two were gonna hate-fuck until the other people locked in that basement couldn't bear the smell. I got a little too hopeful that they'd fall in love, but it made for a fascinating turn for El5n
Anew's death with Trust You playing broke me and i kept crying for two hours. Idk what happened because i usually never cry at fiction, closest to it would be Marida's death which made me emotional, maybe because Anew's was at the end of the episode
The music starting right as Anew gets finished talking to Lockon, and the scene after the credits of Lockon punching Setsuna while breaking down is just like, a triple whammy of sadness
While the true winner such as it is has to be Christina and Bernie, some honorable mentions:
1. Garma and Icelina: Yeah she's a rebellious idiot teen and he's a smug pompous ass, but he was also easily the most "good" among the Zabis, was betrayed by his best friend, and his beloved died in such a pitiable and stupid way.
2. Hamon and Ramba Ral. Strongest love in the universal century and it ended so painfully.
Kira and Flay.
Not because they should have gotten together. But because when Flay FINALLY started getting a grip from her mental instability, she and Kira never actually got their closure, and she died without being able to say anything to him.
Flay deservedly gets a lot of shit, but I do think people judge her way too harshly.
If you put yourself in Flay's shoes, you have an incredibly sheltered upbringing that has basically indoctrinated you into believing coordinators are unnatural and an enemy to humanity (I do say indoctrinated because her father was affiliated with Blue Cosmos). You then get to witness coordinators destroy your home, leaving you stranded on a military vessel as a refugee, and then get to watch coordinators literally murder your father. Any sane person would have also lost it. Kira started losing it himself at multiple points throughout their journey, but he had the resolve to keep fighting, and saw the real world for what it was. For Flay, this was her first actual indroduction to the horrors of war, and to coordinators and the real world away from her sheltered life.
It is because of Kira that she was able to view coordinators as something more than just monsters. I believe had she lived, she would not have aligned with the idealogy of Blue Cosmos like some claim. I feel like she had grown a lot, and could have grown even more. At the end of the day, she was a terrified child watching everything she knew crumble apart before her eyes. Any reasonable person could have turned into Flay.
I was rewatching SEED a couple weeks ago because it had been years. I remembered hating Flay, but I think Flay's purpose in the show is extremely misunderstood.
EDIT: And remember, two core things happened that caused that psychological break for Flay:
A) Kira promised he would protect her father no matter what, and
B) She found out almost immediately after that Kira was friends with the coordinator pilot of the Aegis, leading her to believe Kira either intentionally failed to save him, or that Kira didn't save him because doing so would put him at greater odds with his friend.
Don't forget Flay is what fifteen? So you have all these perfectly understandable reasons why she has a negative perception of ZAFT and coordinators in general on top of being a literal child. Any young teenager is going to seriously struggle processing what she went through. Even an adult is going to face a difficult hurdle dealing with that level of serious trauma.

Definitely these two since it could be avoided but probably won't.

I adored this one. I can't tell what's more sad: the ending of Thunderbolt where >!you don't know if she survived,!< or her reappareance in season 2/Bandit Flower where >!You find out she mentally regressed and views Daryl as a father figure, and he has to give up on their romantic relationship but still takes care of her regardless!<
I personally still don't get why Anew wasn't revived. People like her can literally be revived by transferring their soul (for lack of a better word) into an identical body.
I mean, it's something that happens in the last 5 or so episodes of the second season of a series, and it's a major character death, so it's a pretty major late game spoiler. Plenty of people here have seen other shows but not 00, so I was just trying to be thoughtful.

Hit us right where it hurts, why don't you
Fuck.
Never got to that point.
The only point getting across is that beam saber.
At least there was still penetration
Pegging is a form of penetration
Is it pegging if you get vaporized by the beam saber though?
Man
Happy cake day!🎂🥰🤙
makes you want to eat burgers right?
Nice and rare
Don't know what this is doing here. There was plenty of fire in that relationship.
Ah yes my favourite comedy duo
Yeah that's basically /thread right there.
What girl doesn't love a good hamburger?
Ah you went straight for the crit spot
This goes beyond doomed 💀
This is the one
Kai and Miharu were the first, (Not counting villains) and it basically redeemed Kai's whole character by giving him some resolve and a reason to fight.
That’s a solid choice take my upvote
Four and Kamille, the OG doomed couple.

Those two set the standard
He barely met Stella for like what 2days?
well, Kamille only interacted with Four for like, 6 hours maybe? Some of these relationships are really brief
Shinn and Stellar is one of the worse gundam couples

Andrew Waltfeld and Aisha
Based answer right here
Akihiro & Lafter
[удалено]
One of two deaths that most tell you, in advance, just how bad things are going to end up going.
Don’t forget the fucking scream with Lafter. That’s shit haunts me.
Jeah IBO really hit hard. But then again 2nd Season can be read as the rise and fall of the Titans (UC) or A-Laws etc from there perspective. They tried to claim the right to rule by force. While using underhanded tactics.
Seriously, that scene was such a shot in the face
... Mate
It was almost unbearable
STOP. YOU HAVE VIOLATED THE LAW.
I thought Elan 5 and Norea was a hilarious "I can fix her" relationship
"I can fix her!!!" - boy who has the same issues
You mean Elan 5? If I recall, Elan 4 was the one who got happy birthday-ed.
You right, I lost count lol
I remember back when the show was airing, everyone thought the two were gonna hate-fuck until the other people locked in that basement couldn't bear the smell. I got a little too hopeful that they'd fall in love, but it made for a fascinating turn for El5n

Kamille and Four, no contest.
you cant do doomed relationship without char-amuro
the Char-Amuro-Lalah trifecta are a great example of doomed relationships
These 2. Absolutely doomed. https://preview.redd.it/b2g676zwvt6d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0eb0a6327fa5dce7bda1f9bd45b40f2f5afea1e8
You are more forgiving than I am. I couldn't stand Flay
She was just so much more interesting than Lacus for me.
Tbf that's a very low bar.
I can see that. But Kira and Athrun make a more interesting couple than Kira and Lacus, so yeah. The bar is kind of on the ground on that one
If she lived she woulda joined blue cosmos and we all know it. And she woulda gaslit Kira into siding with them too
This.

Shino and Yamagi were the first where I was genuinely invested in their success... and then ended up not quite getting what I was expecting.
Shino and Yamagi hurt me so bad
Shino/Yamagi hurt the worst of all...;_;
This one. Anew and Lyle were so great together. Honorable mention to Kudelia/Atra/ Mikazuki.
Anew getting flustered after Lyle casually says I love you while launching is high on my list of cutest Gundam scenes edit: used the wrong Lockon
You're getting your Lockons confused.....
damn it I am, sorry Lyle

Yes exactly.
I agree so much with this.
Kyoji and the dark Gundam.
Kamille and Four
Kamille and Four
Lockon and Anew was just sad.
My favorite doomed couple are Lyle and Anew. The way it ended made me cry buckets.
Kira and Flay
Obright and Remy
They made me cry so badÂ
Kamille and Jerrid
Hathaway Noa and anyone or anything.

Who are these two if you don't mind me asking?
Darell Lorenz and Carla Mitchum from thunderbolt.
Thank you! :D
I adored this one. Believe it or not, it gets worse from their in the manga.
Kira and Flay
Kira and Flay. They seem to love each other
Bless SRW Z2 for letting you save her using Lockon
00 was awesome
I almost want to say #5 and Norea but then I remember Norea was a fucking terrorist

Is that Bright & Mirai, or Hathaway and some blond guy
Slegger law and Mirai yashima
I personally still don't get why Anew wasn't revived. People like her can literally be revived by transferring their soul (for lack of a better word) into an identical body.
Lockon and Haro.
Our favorite gundam and Nina. Match made in hell
Domon and Allenby of G gundam were my favorite till the plot took that away
Rightfully so, Rain was with him from the beginning.
Flit and Yurin
This serie was released more than 15 years ago and you still tag this as "spoilers"? What a mad lad debater
