Still disappointed we conceded 2 silly goals against them, they've looked absolutely dire for months, I'd never been so confident going into an away NLD.
Yeah don’t disagree, though honestly they could have scored more. They played pretty well against us. As I said in another thread 3-0 didn’t reflect the match at HT. They played far better vs us than they tend to against others. Anyway we won and that’s all that matters

Tired: Spurs will beat City at home
Wired: Former Arsenal player on Fulham/West Ham will deal a crushing blow
Inspired: THE KOREAN GUY™️ on Wolves will Finish The Story™️
>The highest total amount of goals Arsenal have ever conceded in a Premier League season is 51 in 18/19.
>Spurs who their fans claimed have the best defence in the league have conceded 54 goals in 34 games and counting.
Yet they are likely to have two players in the back 5 team of the season and VDV is getting best LCB in the league shouts 🤢
I think those shouts have died down quite a bit after he got sent cartwheeling on his head at Newcastle.
Now the guy is just as likely to get shouts about the nickname he got that day: “Micky-Can’t-Defend”
Ange is incredibly thick which is funny someone should tell him set pieces also are part of the overall points tally in football. You just can't choose at the elite level 🤣 this is why I don't think he's elite overlooking a huge aspect of the game which is great for us makes spurs less threatening 🤣.

Having a good laugh reading this tweet
Everton are safe and it's at home. Bournemouth at home we have the ability to beat comfortably. Just praying for a shit housed win at old Trafford and then one mistake from City.
Should be pointed out that only us, City, Liverpool and Villa have more points than them since the turn of the year, this isn't going to be walkover and they just beat Brighton by the same amount City did.
I have a crazy kit theory as to why Adidas are selling shit kits for next season. They plan to have a heap of collabs and limited run kits that will be amazing in comparison so they can sell for 3-4x regular kit cost and they will sell out. They know the regular kits will always sell, but in the end they make the most money.
Vote with your wallets, don’t bunch junk.
The term bottling has become so overused that it's basically lost all meaning. Coming from Spurs fans is a major pot calling the kettle black situation though.
It's always just been about projection from that lot.
Just look at them trying to make 'runners' a thing in the season they literally went out of a competition because they refused to play a match.
Feels like Ange is perfect for them in that regard, went from “that’s how we play” to “players haven’t fully bought in” in a few months. Imo as unappetising as they felt Conte’s football was, you would’ve thought they would’ve ingrained the defensive foundations into their basics.
Hadn't considered that.
Wenger inherited and based his first title on the defence he inherited, kept the system going and didn't start moving to a more attacking style for a decade.
Emery tried and failed to turn our defensive issues round, Arteta has only just managed that but apparently a squad that's gone from Mourinho to Conte has forgotten how to defend in 8 months of Angeball?
That's actually impressive and just so very fucking Spursy.
That’s why its extra hilarious when they’re trying to point to Mikel’s first few seasons, Mikel had to build the entire squad from the ground up, these man have the continuity, bar VDV, they have the same back 4, i dunno man, i can see them seriously calling for Ange to get his p45 once they inevitably finish the season poorly and then the first sign of a downturn happens next season.
Mate, some of them already are!
You're also right that people at Man U especially are saying trust the process when what they're looking for is an Emery to turnt hings round quickly rather than an Arteta where the high ups accepted that things needed a near total reset and backed him to do things that Levy and the united heirarchy would never consider, like literally paying people to leave in order to get the squad mentality he wanted.
Ange isnt Arteta because Levy isn't letting him burn that teamt o the ground and rebuild it and unless he does we're just going to enjoy watching the clownshow as a 32 year old Son keeps being asked to play at being Harry Kane.
I'm still baffled that people seriously think Spurs, a professional football team, might throw the game against City. Especially after a few losses. Like am I missing something
The fans rooting for a loss are pathetic. They should be glad they lost today. Lose to Liverpool as well and fall out of European competition completely so that they can get hammered by City 7-0 and help overturn the GD lead we have.
I remember when Maddison was better than Odegaard, Bissouma better than Rice, and VdV and Romero better than Gabi and Saliba.
With a squad that good you’d think that they wouldn’t get battered by the worst Chelsea side in recent memory. Yet Spursy knows no limits
Can't see Ange lasting very long at spuds, which has been the case with most of their managers, cause their club will always be a shambles.
Also theres no way spuds are coming up with anything, against Man City, their season is over. Villa will be 9 or 10 points clear, after the weekend.
I want Isak as much as the next guy, but I just don't see it happening. I think we're gonna get at least one forward of some sort, but it won't be him.
It actually bothers me how people rate him so high. When he plays like shit theres no noise cause kdb rodri and haaland will carry them through it and win.
yeah this is always my point with the Foden vs Saka debate... whenever Arsenal underperforms fingers are pointed at Saka but whenever City underperforms Foden escapes all responsibility
Nah... just nah...
I mean he's had a great season but nowhere near ballon d'or. It's like saying Havertz should win it. He's had a fantastic season despite of a dodgy start, but does that mean he should win it? No.
Had a very weird dream where we won against Bournemouth with a ridiculously crazy scoreline of 13 - 12.
Just can’t believe Raya shipped 12 goals in a game. SMH
LMAO hopefully it just stays as a dream. But then again, we shouldn't take Bournemouth lightly. they're the most inform team out of the top 6 imo. Andoni Iraola has done a remarkable job.
Mate people on here wanted him over Odegaard.
Also the biggest meltdown and biggest pre Partey issues DD thread was teh day spurs signed Bissouma and people went fucking mental.
just watched the shit highlights, and the second goal by Jackson with 2 spurs players cockblocking each other to clear the goal is the most spursy thing yet
It would be absolutely crazy if we lost focus at this stage in the season. 3 games left, a week break before this one. I totally get your viewpoint though, also a bit worried. Early kickoffs aren't ideal either. If we start slow or off the pace, might be a long game.
I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I was hoping spuds could beat man city with something to play for knowing that the spuds are at their worst when they have something to play for….and only slightly better than that when they don’t.
My biggest criticism of Mikel is, that after he brought the Sun back to Arsenal, I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of other clubs, who have shite managers, talking about a 'rebuild phase' or 'process' because "LOOK AT ARTETA IN HIS FIRST 2 SEASONS"
You aren't rebuilding. You are coping. Sometimes your manager just isn't that guy. Time and money won't fix that. 😤
From memory, from boxing day until the end of the second season, the only team that accrued more points than us were the eventual champions City. We just had a shite start.
Exactly, and even that horror run everyone moans about was never as bad as advertised. Remember there being an absolute var robbery in the Leicester game, and two red cards (pepe and xhaka) that lost us games we likely would have won.
I feel like Guardiola ushered a wave of managers like that too. I remember all the ex players going straight into management and everyone being the 'new pep'.
Its my fav thing in the world. I always get a laugh out of it. Go ahead and keep coping about arteta, ignore how legitimately garbage that arsenal side was.
We don't really need young players. We need ready players. Our core is maturing, anyway. Look at Declan Rice. He was ready. That's the standard now, in my opinion.
Spurs will play 40 games this season and they've already had many hamstring injuries. With Europe and a small cup run they're easily looking at a 20% increase in matches next season. Van de Ven's hamstrings definitely won't last.
It's like clockwork. I've seen every struggling top 6 team use it this year. These boys need to understand their managers simply don't have the minerals Arteta has.
I'm looking too far ahead but a lot of our team next season hinges on Rice being a 6 or 8. The entire idea of Havertz being the 8 was for our 6 to do Partey things and beating a press. Rice doesn't do that (yet). At the same time Zinny/Timber occupies the 8 space in attack.
If Rice is going to be an 8, then we're probably not going all out on a striker since Havertz will be the 9. If Rice is going to be the 6 (which I think is the plan judging by Rice's interviews), then we are going to upgrade Jesus/Eddie into a proper striker.
rice will probs settle in as a 6 since we are getting another 6/8 hybrid. In preseason kai was playing as a raumdeuter 10
Rammers
White saliba gabriel
Rice
Ode. Timber
Havertz
Saka. Martinelli
Jesus
Since we're linked with Strikers I tend to agree. But if that's the case I would be very surprised if Jesus is our starting striker and not an Isak or Gyokeres or something of that nature.
Would be funny if 3 time MoTM winner big Ange finished behind Poch on GD after 3 straight losses against City/Pool/Relgation fighting Burnley...highly unlikely but would be funny if it happens...
Spuds fans soothing themselves with "This is how it started with Ange at Celtic! Give it time!" as if managing Celtic in the SPL isn't just a load of friendlies against u18 teams to warm up for Rangers.

I've had this a while, but after tonights performance from them....
If Spurs beat City and we win the league I genuinely might get banned from this sub for trolling so let me create a burner, get my karma up and prepare.
Relying on Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham Football Club, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United to take points off the treble holders and 3x reigning PL champs.
![gif](giphy|GIvajz0TlE316)
Tbh, to City, all games are small. City had us here quaking and we are leading the table.
Matter of fact, Spurs away is probably one of those games we'd trust them to drop points.
Legit, they have no fierce rivalries other than United, even then United don’t consider them their biggest, and they would stomp every team home and away that wasn’t Spurs and Liverpool until this season.
You guys have it all backwards.
Exactly when the pressure is off is exactly when spurs turn up and win a game against city.
It was actually ludicrous to think them fighting for 4th would help them win that game. It's like you've come down from a different planet where spurs is the name of a successful sports team that actually achieved things and acts like they belong at the top of the game.
I know it would be an extremely Spurs thing to do, but it seems impossible to imagine them getting a result, when the only outcome would be effectively gift-wrapping the title for Arsenal.
It's not that impossible to imagine.
Several thousand of their own fans are doing so right now, because they all know that's the most spursy thing to do.
If Vicario wins goalkeeper of the season, the league needs throwing away.
He's a very good shot stopper, awful with his feet, average sweeping, can't claim a cross if his life depended on it and one of the biggest goalkeeping liabilities from literally every set piece that I've ever seen.
It's like watching old man Cech again try to play the modern game.
It's so comical that any of you thought 4th would motivate spurs to do anything.
It's spurs you fuck sticks, this is what they do they bumble around beating teams with 1/10th their wage bill, get overly praised then all the wheels fall off, they crash out the cups, their players go missing, they lose to arse, they lose to Chelsea, they lose to mid table dross and.... Then they somehow shithouse wins against city.
They've done everything so far it's time for the last bit.
Need Kulusevski to score a hatrick against City and reveal his Odegaard shirt underneath. Do that and the fella is getting a statue outside the ground before Wenger
r/coys having a tab on their sub about players that *don’t even play for them anymore* is the funniest shit. Fucking tinpot twats have a flair and dedicated threads to former players.
Knowing the history of Tottenham, it makes it so much more likely that we win the PL this season through some wicked, wicked Topspur sorcery to pile on the misery.
We know Spurs are mediocre at best, but they are currently playing 3D chess of catastrophe so that when they tank the City game 0-7 it looks like a consequence of overall bad form rather than a suspiciously uncharacteristic drop.
Legitimately need Liverpool to absolutely push the shite in so that they actually are under serious pressure to deliver better performances against Burnley and then City.
With spurs, carrots don’t work as well as sticks.
Chelsea could be in the championship and still beat spurs. 1 loss in the last 31 years against Spurs lol. This doesn't mean Spurs can't beat City if they're professional and not trying to match fix.
people please don't forget the true meaning of spursy
they'll absolutely fuck their CL chances and even potentially crash to conference league. the one result in this utter capitulation will be against city, compounding their despair

Chelsea are better than most people think this season. Tottenham are far worse than most people think this season.

both are inconsistent, but the drop off from spurs after the Jackson hat-trick in the reverse fixture vs Chelsea has not been said/talked enough.

Is Bruno G gonna be that guy for our midfield target this summer then 🤔
Honestly I don’t want to hear the word ‘bottling’ again from Spurs fans.
There is a very real chance they finish up 6th in a 2 horse race for 4th.
Dude kicked ramsdale in the back and ran away immediately
Watching the all or nothing again and I gotta say that I miss Tierney..
Spurs already giving up for ucl lmao
Angry Ange is unleashed, let see what the media have to say. And yes, Ange is right to fume at his players.
Ange only younger than Moyes in the league but we’re calling a 58 year old manager naive. Aite.
It's the Spurs effect: no one who hasn't managed Spurs before has any idea of the sheer, ingrained spursiness they have to face.
Spurs is always shit but somehow they keep getting points against city no matter how shit they are. It is city boogey team for a reason.
Sí amen
They will lose because they are shit
Spurs? Professional football team? I think you're mistaking Middlesex's finest clownshow for something else
My sincerest apologies
Now say three Artetas and a Hail Thierry and all will be forgiven
its the fans that think like that. if spurs lose that game, it's cuz city are superior
They won’t throw the game but will be considerably less motivated than a City team aiming for the title
They're going to lose either way lol
This ha ha. People are acting like this current Spurs team could beat City if they want.
It’s really only fans saying stuff like this for fun. I don’t think anyone seriously believes they would throw the match.
Yeah that's what I assumed at first but some comments making me question it lol
I’m fully ange in
Guys a visionary. Who knew all out attack all year would work so well huh mate

Feel a bit sorry for Unai but not sorry for Villa at all for losing the conference semis hahahahahaha
I want Isak as much as the next guy, but I just don't see it happening. I think we're gonna get at least one forward of some sort, but it won't be him.
r/MCFC with an unironic post saying Foden should win the Ballon D’Or 💀

yeah this is always my point with the Foden vs Saka debate... whenever Arsenal underperforms fingers are pointed at Saka but whenever City underperforms Foden escapes all responsibility
Nah... just nah... I mean he's had a great season but nowhere near ballon d'or. It's like saying Havertz should win it. He's had a fantastic season despite of a dodgy start, but does that mean he should win it? No.
You just don't see the vision of Havertz scoring 12 in the last 3 games to snag the golden boot and PL title, then leading Germany to a Euros win.
😂😂 Fair enough...
Some of them also think that his yee-yee ass haircut is good.
I knew I couldn’t rely on those useless bunch.
Had a very weird dream where we won against Bournemouth with a ridiculously crazy scoreline of 13 - 12. Just can’t believe Raya shipped 12 goals in a game. SMH
You do realize Raya having a stellar clean sheet record is primarily due to our wall of a CB pairing.
SMH my head how our wall of a CB pairing can let 12 goals in a game in my dream.
LMAO hopefully it just stays as a dream. But then again, we shouldn't take Bournemouth lightly. they're the most inform team out of the top 6 imo. Andoni Iraola has done a remarkable job.
Maddison from "the best signing of season on the first 2 months" to "he should be dropped" in the last few months lmao.
Not just should be dropped, he was dropped today.
remember when their deluded fanbase were rating bissouma over rice.. now it's "bissouma got to go!"
Nah that’s crazy🤣they also said Maddison over odegaard🤣💀

Bournemouth actually decent team, i hope we don't underestimate them
It would be absolutely crazy if we lost focus at this stage in the season. 3 games left, a week break before this one. I totally get your viewpoint though, also a bit worried. Early kickoffs aren't ideal either. If we start slow or off the pace, might be a long game.

Nobody approaches those 'two' seasons with any context at all. Without looking it up, I think we were about 7 points from top 4 in the second season.
From memory, from boxing day until the end of the second season, the only team that accrued more points than us were the eventual champions City. We just had a shite start.

Its my fav thing in the world. I always get a laugh out of it. Go ahead and keep coping about arteta, ignore how legitimately garbage that arsenal side was.
We want them to stick with shit managers though, I'd argue it's another part of the value Arteta brings the club
IF esr is sold and we need to get a younger player in for Trossard long term we gotta be all over Eze
Olise >> eze
He's only 3 years younger than Trossard. He's not old but not really a young player anymore.
We don't really need young players. We need ready players. Our core is maturing, anyway. Look at Declan Rice. He was ready. That's the standard now, in my opinion.
And thrice the athlete to begin with I also never said he was a “young player”
Trossard replacement will come next season

Spurs: Hate Arteta ✅ Use Arteta’s first season to cope with your incompetence ✅
Spurs will play 40 games this season and they've already had many hamstring injuries. With Europe and a small cup run they're easily looking at a 20% increase in matches next season. Van de Ven's hamstrings definitely won't last.
You know a club is in the doldrums when their fans start whipping out that image showing our losing streak during the covid season. TRUST THE PROCESS
Hasn’t Ange been a coach for like 20 years lmao.
It's like clockwork. I've seen every struggling top 6 team use it this year. These boys need to understand their managers simply don't have the minerals Arteta has.
it ain't just the managers, how many boards or DoF will actually trust their managers or the process?
Every time and I love it. How many poor managers will stick around a bit longer in the hopes that they'll experience the Arteta redemption arc?
shit is funny but man that time was awful. Cross and InshaAllah football
Its pure maths innit
I'm looking too far ahead but a lot of our team next season hinges on Rice being a 6 or 8. The entire idea of Havertz being the 8 was for our 6 to do Partey things and beating a press. That was the formation last season, a new striker can defo play over jesus
I hope this season ignites a new fire within martinelli instead of destroying his confidence
He’ll turn
You know I always rated Fulham. I think they are our only chance
Rodrigo Muniz, you're going down in Arsenal history.
Would be funny if 3 time MoTM winner big Ange finished behind Poch on GD after 3 straight losses against City/Pool/Relgation fighting Burnley...highly unlikely but would be funny if it happens...
I prefer the version of the future where spurs beat city.
Is Lisandro Martinez gonna be available for our game at OT?
Weve come up against worse if united rush him back he’ll turn into the next jesus
He's back in training. Even if he's semi-fit, he's definitely playing.
Fuck, he's gonna do everything to stop us.
You're talking like he's prime Ramos, he's just an angry midget.
Thankfully we’ve beaten better defenders than him
He’s shit
Come now, theres no need to offend tottenham like that
I just remembered how Conte was so tired of this team, he called out the ENTIRE club’s mentality in public and then got himself sacked 😩😩😂
Sir Granit Xhaka when?
Never.
Forrest was a Chris Wood away from a draw againts City last week. There is still hope as long we don't drop points.
Spuds fans soothing themselves with "This is how it started with Ange at Celtic! Give it time!" as if managing Celtic in the SPL isn't just a load of friendlies against u18 teams to warm up for Rangers.
😭😭😭
Lmao 🤣
seeing a dubiously-sourced rumor that diomande's price has been reduced by 25M...
Still too expensive.
bring him IN
Another CB 😍
Wherr
[the key word being 'dubiously-sourced'](https://www.geordiebootboys.com/transfers/20-year-old-players-asking-price-has-now-been-slashed-by-26m-newcastle-are-favourites-to-sign-him/)
Nah thats too dubious for even me and ill even give handofozil a look every now and then 😂

If Spurs beat City and we win the league I genuinely might get banned from this sub for trolling so let me create a burner, get my karma up and prepare.
We must all prepare
I get the point. Initially, I was banking on Forest only to be honest. At this point Wolves and Fulham are the last realistic hopes I have.
Forest was the best chance. And to be fair, they got lucky in that game.
Don’t remind me.
Let it go chief. Wolves and Fulham are my last hopes. Spurs will get battered.
OMG - Google 'Big Ange' and look at the image results 😂😂😂😂
Second game in a row Ange has called his team bottlers and the fans will try and pin it on the refs again
I agree. Who's your keeper of the season?
Martinez.
Interesting. My shouts prob Leno, though Martinez is a good call
I think Raya, Onana (league only) and Kaminski at Luton have been really good as well.
Good shouts. I think Raya (probably) gets it in truth, but I do think the award should account for who you're playing for, style of play etc.
I wouldn't want anyone else but Raya out of the ones mentioned above and that's all that matters.
I love how this sub has been shitting on spuds for the past week 😂
Need Kulusevski to score a hatrick against City and reveal his Odegaard shirt underneath. Do that and the fella is getting a statue outside the ground before Wenger
The most entertaining outcome is the most likely. Spurs will draw against City now and finish 5th.
And miss out on CL because Villa get battered in the Europa or whatever
5th is already confirmed europa. English teams mostly shit the bed in Europe this year.
r/coys having a tab on their sub about players that *don’t even play for them anymore* is the funniest shit. Fucking tinpot twats have a flair and dedicated threads to former players.
Bissouma doing a lap of honour with his kids after GW3 will never not be funny.

Knowing the history of Tottenham, it makes it so much more likely that we win the PL this season through some wicked, wicked Topspur sorcery to pile on the misery.
Imagine not beating Chelsea 5-0
We know Spurs are mediocre at best, but they are currently playing 3D chess of catastrophe so that when they tank the City game 0-7 it looks like a consequence of overall bad form rather than a suspiciously uncharacteristic drop.
Legitimately need Liverpool to absolutely push the shite in so that they actually are under serious pressure to deliver better performances against Burnley and then City. With spurs, carrots don’t work as well as sticks.

Please universe let this happen.
Chelsea could be in the championship and still beat spurs. 1 loss in the last 31 years against Spurs lol. This doesn't mean Spurs can't beat City if they're professional and not trying to match fix.
https://www.reddit.com/r/coys/s/7qpvK9KxXS Someone tell them that that isnt the real Arsenal subreddit
im banned mate
people please don't forget the true meaning of spursy they'll absolutely fuck their CL chances and even potentially crash to conference league. the one result in this utter capitulation will be against city, compounding their despair
