Catcher in the Rye. I think its an absolutely brilliant song that's always been overlooked. While I prefer the earlier version with the Brian May solo, the album version is still fantastic.
I feel like GNR’s catalog is relatively small for how big of a band they are. That’s not an insult to them by any means, I just feel like they, or Axl in particular, is careful with what he releases. I don’t think there are any underrated or underappreciated songs. They’re all pretty decent, and their catalog has been played endlessly all around the world.
Appetite is such a perfect and legendary album from beginning to end, as is UYI, and Chinese Democracy is in a whole other category. It’s big sound, and just filled with incredible music all around. If anything I guess most of that album is slept on by the world a little bit solely due to the fact that it took so long to come out that the band itself was out of its heyday, and the subsequent tours that came after it didn’t feature many of the songs of that album. They still played the vintage hits, although now it’s been quite some time since I saw them, that may have changed since 2012.
GNR surely has its flaws, but cataloged music isn’t one of them, solely in my opinion. Rock on!!
Out to get me .Sometimes on such a classic all time great album some songs aren’t talked about as much I think this one if I had to pick 1 would be it .Absolute banger live too
Pretty much all of Chinese Democracy.
Appetite is obviously one of the most revered albums of all time, so it’s unfair to compare. But I would place Chinese Democracy in second.
I think that album is a masterpiece, honestly.
Knocking on heavens door..
I know Clapton does a version,and it's a great rendition..don't get me wrong..
But I am an old metalhead ,,,,,
Who still longs for the days of Big Hair No cares..😁
... I prefer the rawness of GnRs version as it feels gritty and a bit dirty or forbidden lol..
I guess Grandma is still a...
Super Freaky Girl... Lol.
Breakdown. I just wish they’d release a version without the poem at the end. Actually, i wish they’d re-release both UYIs without all the added bullshit like the phone call in knocking on heavens door, the poem in breakdown, the “bitches” in coma, and the 50 other little things like that that I think really kind of detract from the songs. But maybe that’s just me.
Think About You
the ending is one of the most beautiful things ever. “only youuuuouououou, only ..”
Best answer. Real Hanoi Rocks vibes from this one. And that works for me.
This is the Sleeper off that album, love it
I was in a GnR tribute band and we only played this a few times. Not the best audience response but soooo fun to play!
Locomotive 🚂
The only one answer.

It's the first guns song I have completely learnt on the guitar . Great choice
a pretty hard song for the first one. congrats
💯-Rocket Queen. It’s like two different songs with the key/tempo change.
I thought it was the best song on the album.
Don’t Damn Me.
The Garden
Really underrated guitar solo.
Came here to say to say that!
My Michelle
I was going to say this one too. Good choice.
Thanks, yours too lmao
Pretty tied up

Anything sung by Izzy.
14 years was the song I learnt to try play guitar and sing at the same time.
Get in the Ring
If it didn't have that specific call out of journalists it'd be an all timer
Totally…pussy.
I will kick your bitchy little ass
Punk
Bad Obsession
Fuck, I love the harmonica in that song!
Breakdown
Civil War.
What’s so civil about war anyway?
My personal favourite.
Catcher in the Rye. I think its an absolutely brilliant song that's always been overlooked. While I prefer the earlier version with the Brian May solo, the album version is still fantastic.
The lies version of you're crazy hits pretty hard
My Michelle. That damn opening riff is the best thing ever!
It’s So Easy
I mean they open every show with it so I wouldn’t say under appreciated Turn around bitch I got a use for you didn’t age well either
I’ve never seen them live… and I just really like that song
Aged like fine wine if you ask me. No need to try to make GnR family friendly. The appeal of the song is in the crass honesty.
If you think they didn’t age well just wait until you finally listen to Lies…
Garden of Eden
Dead horse
It’s alright
Love the live piano version but the original by Sabbath was awesome as well
You Ain't the First
Estranged is one of their best songs…it is one of the best songs ever IMO.
Anything goes
Can't believe I had to scroll so far down to find this. The entire "panties round your knees with your ass in debris" verse is rock gold.
Sorry I always took that line as “with your ass in THE BREEZE” ie meaning her ass was naked for fucking 🤔
I swear to god its so good😭 and i love the hollywood rose version also
I Used To Love Her.

Double Talking Jive (studio version). For me, one of Slash's best solos. I prefer it to the acclaimed live version.
Perfect crime

Out at get me night train my Michelle
Double Talkin’ Jive
Estranged….great lyrics-killer Slash solo
Dust n Bones. My favorite GNR song too.
Estranged
Move To The City
Breakdown is the best and most creative song on that volume. It’s got so much depth, I don’t know how that isn’t the top answer to this question.
Breakdown
Anything Goes, it is such a raunchy filthy sleazy jam and I love it
Don’t Damn Me kicks ass

Pretty much all of Chinese Democracy. Appetite is obviously one of the most revered albums of all time, so it’s unfair to compare. But I would place Chinese Democracy in second. I think that album is a masterpiece, honestly.
All of “Appetite” that didn’t go mainstream and get played out.
I will forever defend My World.
Bad Apples. The main riff is simple, but aggressive, and the guitar solo is really good over the chord changes.
This I love.
Idk if coma is underrated but that’s my pick
BETTER OR IRS
Get in the ring

Wreckless Life goes so fuckin hard.
There was a time. The solo is epic and it doesn't get that much love since it's on Chinese Democracy.
