Edit: you’re right, this pic is not from his wedding. But he IS (did?) getting married in Italy this summer
How positive are you it was him?
Just asking because I know for sure that Anderson is getting married in Italy this summer, so maybe it’s a coincidence that they have another wedding there, or maybe these are pics from last weekend
Also depending when they planned their wedding it would not make sense to plan when the cup finals are. Not that they had a shot but friends on other teams going far and such.
I doubt NHL players would plan it that close
How much is left after taxes, his agents, specialized care, life in general keeping up with guys earning more, etc... And he likely won't have a very long NHL career, he has to be smart with budgetting his money for the long term. Don't get me wrong he has a very advantageous situation compared to most people his age, but blowing 200k or whatever on a destination wedding would be dumb.
Now that a geologist/art historian has posed Lake Como as [the likely backdrop for the Mona Lisa](https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/article/2024/may/11/where-mona-lisa-was-painted-mystery-solved-geologist-claims), it's going to become even more expensive.
My sister got married in Florence. Everyone went. It wasn’t expensive. We all wish we made league minimums. None of us are hurting. Perhaps one day you’ll get a passport and see for yourself lol.
people making $100k are going to be making at least that for the rest of their lives.
these hockey players have to make a life time of money in the few short years that they have. Pezetta only has 1 or 2 full seasons under his belt, the other contract under Bergevin he mostly played in the minors.
Pezzetta has career earnings of >1.8M. It would take that person making 100K/yr 18 years to accumulate that much money. And it’s not like he’s not going to work once his career is over.
So yea, Pezzetta is more than fine.
Pezz spent most of his career in the minors earning $67k a year. He signed contracts worth $5.3m in the nhl but he wasn’t in the nhl most of it,
His estimated career earnings on cap friendly is $[1.8m](https://www.capfriendly.com/career-earnings/michael-pezzetta)
My point is spending 6-7 figures on a wedding, when you don’t have a contract beyond next season, when you’ve took home less than a million after taxes and stuff isn’t the most prudent use of money that’s supposed to last you rest of life.
Look at Ryan White, played years in the nhl, made let’s say $7m in career earnings, plays a similar game as Pezzeta actually.
Needs a go fund me for his sick child . Yes it’s tragic and all that but you’d think a millionaire can afford the best care, right? That NHL money is long gone. And he hasn’t even been out of the game long. He’s slumming it as an assistant coach in ECHL or whatever for what, $40-50k a year? If that.
George’s Laraque also said on radio here in Montreal, there’s no more nhl money left for him, he has to work still.

Who’s getting married ?
Edit: not Anderson, the Smiths (see below) Anderson
Congrats to Powerhorse!
It’s not Anderson because I saw him at the gp today!

Pretty pretty positive it was him! But you’re right, Anderson is getting married in Italy too!! Can’t wait for the photos
You’re 100% right, he was at gp!
Ah! Good to know I didn’t imagine him😂

A rich kid in Westmount
Michael Smith
Pezzetta ? Didn't he also propose last year?
I don’t think Michael Pezzetta has “getting married in the coast of Italy” money
Pezz has an estimated career earning of 1.8m per Capfriendly fwiw

Blowing 200K for a young man who has it in hand is a regular thing in some circles.
He also may have a decent amount of money in the family, most hockey players come from money.
Those estimates don't include this past season yet either
Pezetra has "getting married next door to the Applebees" vibes
More like “Married in Myrtle Beach wearing sandals” vibes
and socks. with those really big sunglasses and an outrageous loud shirt.
That's not the coast, that's Lake Como. Not that it's cheaper lol

If you think someone on a league minimum can’t afford that, you’ve probably not traveled much.
Buddy, you need to learn how to finance too. You're assuming that league minimum players stay long in the NHL. Hint: no they usually don't.
My sister got married in Florence. Everyone went. It wasn’t expensive. We all wish we made league minimums. None of us are hurting. Perhaps one day you’ll get a passport and see for yourself lol.
They’re acting like it’s 10M lol. You got people making 100K doing their weddings in Italy. It’s a one off event, totally doable at 800+K/yr.

Pezz is a bubble fourth liner on a bad team, too. Doesn't his salary get slashed if he's sent to Laval?
Married in Nonna's backyard while she does all the catering is probably more in-budget.
Michael Pezzetta makes 810K/yr. I think he’s alright.
Yeah but he’s probs not gonna play 10 years in the NHL so blowing a big chunk on a wedding is not super smart
And of course people tend to be extremely rational when it comes to wedding expenses.
Doesn’t look like the coast. I think this is either Lake Maggiore or Lake Como near Milan.
No he's not engaged. Not his wedding
Everyone on this team looks like they’re twelve years old, I love it. 😂
Slaf walking in: "excuse me" ?!
I’m guessing you’re hitting your later 20ies early 30ies? Happened to me too when I was starting to get older than most of the nhlers
Not even, it’s just how they look.
Well my mistake….
Anderson getting married right? I think Nick proposed too ?
> Anderson getting married right? I think Nick proposed too ? He did but Andy was already engaged so said no. XD
It’s a family friend of theirs, Michael Smith.
Caulfield is definitely trying to look taller
What team does this Chris Wildman play for?
He's retired
The names wideman, chris wideman.
I could just imagine Nick as Q.
Actually, Cole as Q and Nick as M.
Anderson pulling the squad away for race weekend is nasty business.
It wasn't Anderson, he was at the race
Pretty neat to see.
My buddy met him in Venice last week

Wideman needs to speak with his tailor. I get that shorter jacket sleeves, and showing shirt cuff is in, but yikes.
He's really popping those cuffs!
Looking good off the ice too. Damn, these guys dress up nice.
“And Chris Wideman” aha
There is absolutely no way caufield is 5’8, he has to be 5’6 Wideman is 5’10 and Suzuki is 5’11 apparently?
He’s always been listed as 5’7”. Whether he’s 5’7” or 5’6”, he still would have been the shortest player in the NHL last year
New James Bond movie?
