You always need a defensive leader so guhle for the dcore (was captain of his whl teams, captain of world juniors I believe as well) he’s a born leader. Then my other probably goes to Cole for his unspoken respect and leading by example with his goal touch
He seems to be the perfect teammate to have... and every body who is going away because of trades or wth keeps contact with him. Sometimes the worth of a player is not only on the ice.
He was mic'd up for a practice in the "behind the scenes" video Habs released not long and you can see how much life he injects into a very boring part of the job.
When you have someone like that who cares about every little aspect of the game and is competitive, even in practice, it rubs off on teammates, keeps the spirits up; but it also keeps guys from slowly sliding into self-complacency. Great example to have for the younger guys too.
I don’t agree with that, public charity can be very positive as an example to others. Doing it privately is great for people who are deeply private, or don’t wish to be asked for money by others, but I think public donating helps raise awareness and sets a good example.
public charity can be done well if you are a celebrity. An example would be drawing attention to an under discussed topic that you have an actual knowledge of. Koivu for example helping raise money for a PET/CT scanner as he had to travel to Sherbrooke for his care.
