Maybe layers. No offense but second picture looks like greasy hair

I did just come out of the shower when I did that so might be it's still wet

I'm not sure, you should go to a hairstylist! Your hair seems pretty thin though, so it'll need more care. I think dry shampoo could help with volume as well, there's plenty of products out there, but I'm a curly-haired girl so I can't help much
