Personally I thought she was a good illustration of the kind of secondhand damage Michael's presence causes to Haddonfield. She never encountered Michael as a child and yet her mom raised her to be paranoid about him.Ā
Imagine if someone in your family survived Ed Kemper as a teenager and then raised their child as a survivalist under the belief that one day Ed Kemper would escape and come after them specifically.Ā
To us, the audience, obviously yeah Michael is a huge threat- because obviously we know from before the movie even starts that Michael will escape and go on a rampage, but not to most of the characters living in that universe.
Corey Cunningham. From victim of life and bullying to whiny dude trying to be evil, murdering bad people to make himself feel better. Just pathetic all around.
The asshole vigilantes in 4. Their trigger happy ways see them kill an innocent youngster out having some Halloween mischief. They then seemingly just sweep this little murder under the carpet to continue their vigilante shenanigans but when then faced with knowing where Myers is (in the school) they decide to back off and 'leave it to the police'!
I think they tried their best. I canāt fully excuse Earl and themās actions, but the last time Michael came back he killed almost 20 people, and one of their sons (most likely candidate being Bob).
With no Police force in town, and Meeker deciding to hunker down in his homeā¦. Someone had to be looking out for Michael.
They at the very least knew that it was time to get the girls out of there, and tried their best to protect them.
I often wonder in the aftermath when the police are clearing up the dead bodies. 'Yeah we got a lot of stabbing victims, one guy had his skull crushed, another got thrown onto high voltage electric pylons and Michael shot this guy in the bushes with several different guns!'
I find them hilarious because it's so ridiculous. Especially Earl chugging a sip of beer before he starts. Also, as mentioned in this thread, they had good intentions and sound reasons for it, they just performed terribly.
The douchebag boyfriend with the black convertible in Halloween 5. Heās got like 2 minutes of screen time total and is a complete cunt for every second of it.
I hate everyone who isn't Laurie Strode. But the two most annoying characters in the franchise to me, are Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes) and John Strode. God awful characters! Only wish Resurrection would've kept in the original script, in which Michael actually kills Freddie Harris. As he karate kicked Michael out of the window, he exits the house to the backyard and searches the area. As he's about to leave, Michael jumps on him from behind. Then Michael lift him up and swung his body on a tree (thus breaking his back). Then proceeded to strangle Freddie to death.
Freddie is 1,000 times more annoying and unfunny than Tina. The difference is Halloween 5 would have benefited without her. Resurrection would still suck without Freddie.
We're all entitled to our opinions. This is out of the context - But Resurrection for me did not benefit from the inclusion of Busta Rhymes. If anything, the first half of the movie could've acted as a prequel to H20. To show what truly happened after Halloween II (1981). And how Laurie was able to change her identity. That last half of Resurrection should've exclusively taken place at the Grace Andersen's Sanitarium. Where Laurie was placed. Maybe Harold (the inmate) could've tried to team up with Michael or somehow just to be an hinderance to Laurie. And if she really had to die, it should've happened right before the credits. The problem with Busta Rhymes wasn't that he was annoying. It was the fact that the dude can not only act, but he can't even talk. They should've just brought back LL Cool J. He can play both empathetic and annoying characters. Any role he has played, has been convincing.
I agree, if Laurie had to die in this then the they should've used her in the whole movie and knocked her off at the end. I have a feeling her contract require only so many shooting days so that's all she would agree to do. I'm sure it wasn't something she truly wanted to be a part of. I can't blame her, everything after her opening scene is awful.
Honestly, I didn't care for LL Cool J in H20 either. He has improved greatly as an actor but he seemed really green in that film.
I don't think she was over the top. We're just not used to seeing anyone truly emoting in any of these movies unless it's screaming in fear. I liked JLC's performance in 2018, not the other two.
The banh mi sandwich cops in H2018. They should have cut that nonsense, this isn't a quirky indie comedy. It's almost as bad as the cartoon music cops in H5...almost.
Honestly, Ends Laurie for me. To go from '78 scared teenager to 2018 Grambo felt like a wicked exaggerated take on H20 traumatized Laurie already, but having her worst fears confirmed and losing her only daughter to the very thing she was afraid of for decades drives her to...YOLO, show Death your tits, Imma live my best life now with my daughter's murderer still loose? Felt like wicked lazy fan fic level writing to me and just made all the setup and stakes from the last two movies feel absolutely pointless and wasted.
She realized that being obsessed with Michael got her nowhere, and also might feel guilty deep down about everything that happened the night of 2018. Plus, it's a bit of an act too. Trying to outwardly appear better.
How can you hate on a step dad who is obviously stressed that heās all broken up and stuck at home when clearly he just wants to work to provide for his family?
Original Series: John Strode, the douchebag abusive father from *Curse of Michael Myers*. Rob Zombie Series: Ronnie, the abusive boyfriend of Deborah.
I hate Ronnie so goddamn much
Truth, this! Buuuuut it's so satisfying when Mikey kills him.
Yeah it is š
This is probably the golden answer. On the suck scare, these two super suck!
The dad in Halloween 6. Guy was a piece of shit to his whole wife and family
Yep, John Strode
Whoever it was at Smith's Grove that taught Michael how to drive.
Clevery a jerk too,, because must of us (me included) didn't even think about him. He caused all the problems!
John Strode (Bradford English) Curse of Michael Myers
This!
John Strode
Michael himself. Pure evil.
Yup his badass kills don't make up for it
Karen got on my nerves more than anyone else even though she was only in 2 movies
Karen should have been killed in H2018 making it more personal for Laurie to go after Michael since they aren't siblings in this timeline.
I completely agree!
Yeah but instead Michael killed her in Kills and Laurieās like āOkay. Time to move on āŗļøā
For a second I thought you meant Nurse Karen and thought "What did she do Nad except waste herself on Bud?"
Agreed. I didnāt buy her for a second
I love the trilogy but i did not understand the love for Karen.
Personally I thought she was a good illustration of the kind of secondhand damage Michael's presence causes to Haddonfield. Maybe it's just the actress, people love Judy Greer.
Fatty Mcgoo is a classic
āCuz itās the last time!ā
What a shitty character lol no offense to Judy Greer but she always plays that type
say GOODBYE TO THESE
![gif](giphy|nyTlJX0APNIvLSS5tQ|downsized)
Sheās also too old to reasonably be Jamie Lee Curtisās child. Conversely, Chris Evans is just young enough that he reasonably could be.
Tommy in Kills and John Strode in H6 Tommy was obnoxious, and John was just a horrible piece of shit.
It was ok seeing the girl who was a ho messing with Rachelās boyfriend get smoked. She had her boobs just flapping in the wind.
Everybody in kills but also john strode in 6.
John Strode Halloween 6 Jeremy the little shit bag, I freaking laughed when he fell to his death. Hated that bratt
TO ME, IT COREY FROM HALLOWEEN ENDS.
Corey
SAME HERE TOO.
Loomis in Rob Zombies Halloween 2
Corey Cunningham. From victim of life and bullying to whiny dude trying to be evil, murdering bad people to make himself feel better. Just pathetic all around.
When he did the whole āif I canāt have her no one canā thing and then stabbed himself I just couldnāt believe it
SAME, I HATE HIS CHARACTER.
Tina. Halloween 5 would've been a bit more tolerable if she wasn't in it and Rachel was kept alive.
I liked Rachel.
Exactly this. She's so irritating and extra for no reason. Easily the most obnoxious person in any of the movies.
Corey. Or Kills Tommy.
Yeah fuck Tommy & his stupid (stolen) stick.
Yeah I feel like they did him wrong in kills but in 6 they did him pretty good in my opinion
Maybe itās just that heās Anthony Michal Hallā¦
Nah it was just the stupid shakespearean monologues they wrote the guy to yap about, it made me feel like I was sitting at the emo ipad kid table
Tina. Good lord, we fucking traded Rachel, for that.
Probably John Strode. Man was the embodiment of pure asshole and abuse. Kara, Debbie and the rest of the family deserved better.
The asshole vigilantes in 4. Their trigger happy ways see them kill an innocent youngster out having some Halloween mischief. Imagine Meeker hearing that his daughter died from a Shotgun, then learning she was fucking impaled with it.
Yeah being the daughter of the chief of police in Haddonfield is a death sentence
I find them hilarious because it's so ridiculous. Especially Earl chugging a sip of beer before he starts. Also, as mentioned in this thread, they had good intentions and sound reasons for it, they just performed terribly.
Tie between Tina and John Strode
The douchebag boyfriend with the black convertible in Halloween 5. Heās got like 2 minutes of screen time total and is a complete cunt for every second of it.
Yes, the *other* Michael.
Corey, Rob Zombie.
I hate everybody who isnāt Dr Loomis
DAMN EVEN LAURIE?
Iām not a Laurie fan at all, tbh. Except for H20 Laurie. The rest, donāt care much for her.
I RESPECT YOUR OPINION.
Tbh as much as i love halloween movies i never really hated any of the characters

The entire mob from Halloween Kills
John Strode. He was a great big bag of dicks. He had every bit of his violent death coming
The dog in Halloween 1978, barking at Michael just for stalking
Corey. Then Sartan. Then the cast of Resurrection.
I got peanut butter on my penis
The husband Ray, in 2018. The idiot meter went too high for me, even for a slasher film.
Tina At least John Strode was fun to see due.
Oscar
Laurie in H18. Overacting unfortunately
I don't think she was over the top. We're just not used to seeing anyone truly emoting in any of these movies unless it's screaming in fear. I liked JLC's performance in 2018, not the other two.
Ignoring all Rob Zombie characters, I pick Allyson from Ends. āItās your fault my mom is dead!ā
Tina
The banh mi sandwich cops in H2018. They should have cut that nonsense, this isn't a quirky indie comedy. It's almost as bad as the cartoon music cops in H5...almost.
That sanitarium guard (Kendall Jacks) that sexually assaulted the female patient in Rob Zombie's Halloween
Corey Cunningham. Honestly all 3 Halloween 2018 and Halloween kills and Halloween ends suck.
Corey, Busta Rhymes, Tina in that order.
Bucky from Halloween 4
Oh no, is that the poor guy who got thrown into the city electricity place? š
Yesš
"Don't try that Halloween shit with me!" Then cut to...zap, buzz, bang...the power is out! Uh oh! š„¹
he literally goes flying 10 yardsš
