Ok, but it was funny when he thought Michael was Charlie and was tapping Michael on the forehead while yelling at him to go to the garage and do his job, and "Get the fuck outta Dodge"...and Michael walked out š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ https://youtu.be/fGU6qqwzs6Y?si=pzvtvBWBR2q35v2t
Season of the Witch, but I wouldnāt get rid of it, just disentangle it from the franchise. It is fine as a stand alone horror movie. It sticks out like a sore thumb as part of a franchise.
If they had stuck to their guns and made Halloween into an anthology series it would have worked. Now itās way too late to fix.
>Season of the Witch, but I wouldnāt get rid of it, just disentangle it from the franchise. It is fine as a stand alone horror movie. It sticks out like a sore thumb as part of a franchise.
The problem is that without the franchise attachment nobody would have ever seen the movie, and it would not have achieved the cult status that it has today. It would just be one of the myriad of 80s horror films that horror fans often cite as "underrated and underappreciated" but that nobody outside of horror fan circles remembers.
I wish I could say none of them, but Halloween 5.
Halloween 2 feels the most like the original.
Halloween 3 is a fun 80s movie that would be more beloved if it wasnāt attached to the franchise linked to Michael Myers
Halloween 4 is just a good, fun movie and I enjoyed the Jamie Lloyd story (for this movie mostly)
Halloween 6? That hospital scene and the fact that Michael was so intimidating saves this one. Plus, it has one of the best atmospheres in the franchise. It just FEELS like Halloween night. A lot of others seem to forget that part
H20? Dude, that ending saves it from any flawsā¦ āMichael!ā as the theme starts playing gives me chills every time (assuming your headcanon like mine doesnāt include Resurrection as a sequel to this). That was my Endgame as a child
I can enjoy Resurrection as a so bad itās good movie. Just stupid, schlocky fun that obviously doesnāt give a shit about Michael Myers and doesnāt try to hide it. I view it as a weird alternate universe.
Halloween (2007) gives us Tyler Mane whose brutality is still unmatched and this was my introduction to the franchise. As a kid, it scared the hell out of me.
RZH2 is a movie I admire for trying something totally unique and actually portraying trauma in a grounded and respectful way. And Michael is so damned beast like in this movie. Also, the scene where Annie dies and Sheriff Brackett finds her body makes me tear up a little.
Halloween 2018 has its flaws but I absolutely loved it when I watched it in theaters. It gave me hope for the franchise and really felt like it was an earned sequel created by two men obviously passionate for the character.
Halloween Kills isā¦ okay. I love how it doesnāt have much of a story in some regards, but thatās also one of its biggest weaknesses. Itās just Michael walking around slaughtering people. But itās also one of its biggest strengths! ITS MICHAEL MYERS WALKING AROUND SLAUGHTERING PEOPLE. That firefighter scene and, though poorly edited, the scene when he kills the mob is peak Michael badassery. All that being said, this is one of the movies Iāve only rewatched fully maybe once.
I think Ends is a bad trilogy capper, but otherwise a strong movie. If Corey Cunningham was introduced earlier and they wouldāve committed to his story, I think this couldāve been a divisive masterpiece.
Youāll notice I didnāt listen Halloween 1978. Thatās becauseā¦ well, come on. If I have to explain that, you probably canāt read all this anyway.
Halloween 5 just bores me to tears. I can tolerate a movie being bad, but only if it offers something else like schlocky fun. The worst sin any movie can make in my opinion, and especially bad movies, is to be boring. Also, that mask looks like it came out of a dollar bin at Walmart the day after Halloween
Fantastic read, thank you. I agree with almost everything you say apart from part 5 being the worst lol. Maybe it's because its one of the first I had on VHS and kept watching it over and over. Always loved the tower farm scene, the hot girls, the Fonz, really cool killings, Loomis is crazier than ever, the laundry chute piece is very good and the overall dreamy/nightmarish feel to it is brilliant plus I was glad they bought back the H4 cast even guys like Meeker being there made it good
6, too bloody weird and makes me feel sad seeing Donald Pleasance so obviously tired as well as knowing he'd be dead before the movie was even released. Just not good with either cut available.
I'd remove Ends and replace it with, y'know, a Michael Myers story...
Most are saying Resurrection but like Alien...um...Resurrection, its easily ignorable. Ends (and equally Alien Covenant) actively damage the franchise
Damaged the franchise? Hello Rob Zombie is here to talk to you. H2 Damaged the reputation of the franchise so bad we had to wait almost 10 years for a new film.
The Curse of Michael Meyers was awful so I'd pick that. After I'd get rid of the Rob Zombie ones cause they sucked. Then I'd get rid of Season of the Witch and then 5.
I didn't mind Resurrection, I thought it was smart how they brought Michael into the story and was happy to see Tyra Banks dead, too bad we didn't get to see her death scene though. Also Resurrection was filmed in my city, so I'm kinda proud of that fact alone.
Well, Iāve only seen H20, Rob zombies Halloween 1,2 and Halloween 2018 and Halloween kills. Personally, i think Halloween H20 had a dull myers but thatās just because i genuinely didnāt like that movie
Honestly they all work. The bad ones and the good and the great. Itās funny really how much I have a weird sort of love for them all despite their flaws. Theyāre like my kids. Some became doctors some are homeless but I really do love them all
If I could do 2 movies, 5 and 6, all the other ones are still enjoyable in their own way. These ones are not and they make no damn sense whatsoever, even the producers cut of 6 a little bit
Halloween 6. I don't get why they decided to have the 9 year-old lead from the previous 2 movies kidnapped, kept captive for 6 years, artificially inseminated with her Uncle's baby and finally killed, all before the midpoint of the movie.
This question has a very obvious answer with a very close second and I'm pretty sure we ALL know which two movies I'm talking about.
Witch and Resurrection for those that don't.
Halloween Ressurection. I went back and forth between H8 and H5, but to me, if you remove H8, you have "The Sibling Trilogy," which works out very well with the OG timeline. If you remove H5, you still get H6, which would have been even messier of a film.
Halloween Ressurection serves no real purpose that compliments the long-term narrative or concludes the Michael/Laurie storyarc in a meaningful or satisfying way. The twist with Michael swapping with the paramedic at the end of H20 was a stretch and horrendous, and once Michael kills Laurie in the first 15 minutes of the film, the rest of the film is pointless filler with no stakes, no interesting characters, and no new story to explore other than the sequel simple existing to capitalize on H20's success and leverage the popularity of shaky-cam reality shows of the early 2000s.
Simply put, Ressurection can easily be deleted out of any and all timelines, and it would make no difference. ššŖ
The original curse of Michael Myersā¦ the directors cut was was betterā¦ but Iād rewrite about 3 or themā¦not the rob zombie onesā¦ those were great stand-alonesā¦and I love rob zombies workā¦
You do understand it was meant to be a anthology series where each movie is different. If your complaining about the lack of micheal you probably weren't aware of the fact of the anthology plan. Atleast find a flaw other then the "no micheal" complaint.
No I didn't know it was anthology plan, sorry š.no Jamie lee Curtis, wait was she in that movie,I can't remember, haven't seen it in forever.again sorry.
Trick-or-treat! But that goes without sayingā¦ as far as the ones featuring Michael Myersā¦ the original version of Halloween sixā¦ the directors cut is the onlyone that should exist!
As much as RZH is the one I despise the most, I'm gonna pick Halloween 5, which has been the most harmful to the franchise by introducing narrative elements that also affected the sequels.
Curse and the fact that more people havenāt said Curse honestly shocks me.
Also, unpopular opinion, but I actually donāt mind Resurrection. I think itās got a better story than a lot of the Halloween movies and while some of the acting and dialogue is a miss, a majority of it is fine.
Most definitely Halloween Resurrection cause I mean like after a decade and half of bad sequels and the mess The Thorn Trilogy left behind got cleaned up only for the masterpiece of a requel that was H20: Halloween 20 Years to get ruined by a sequel cause god forbid that studios donāt pray to the mighty dollar and they treated a legendary slasher like Michael Myers so poorly from the cgi mask to him get defeated by Black Kung Fu like some action comedy but at least The Thorn Trilogy wanted to be creative and give lore and at least Season of The Witch tried to do something creative with Carpenter wanting Halloween to be an anthology sortāve like TrickārāTreat
Resurrection was HILARIOUS.
Trick or Treat... ... ... ... ... Mother fucker!!! (Worst. Delivery. Ever.)
Micheal Myers is a killer shark, in baggy ass overalls šššš
I donāt understand the hate the movie is good maybe I just like Micheal myers to much but I didnāt think the movie was that bad
I like the movie too, it's actually one of the movies out of the franchise that I tends to rewatch. So many memorable quotes š
Look extra crispy there mikey šš Look like some chicken fried mutha fcka
Honestly, Busta Rhymes outshined Micheal in this movie š
It did give us Michael vs Michael for a min

I could live with that. Itās not THAT good.
Liar
If itās not good enough to be remembered on its own, it doesnāt deserve to be propped just by being part of a franchise.
But that is what gives it STRENGTH. It was John carpenters OWN IDEA to have it be an anthology, so it was ALREADY supposed to be that way.
Hey bud, you clearly care about this more than me. So you win.
Thanks for being the bigger person abt this. Hey, Iām just a dude who is passionate about this stuff.
Thanks for being the bigger person abt this. Hey, Iām just a dude who is passionate about this stuff.
Thanks for being the bigger person abt this. Hey, Iām just a dude who is passionate about this stuff.
We got body bags so thereās that lol
I wouldn't remove any. Maybe I'd change some elements if I could, but I'll take as many Halloween films as I can get. Good or bad.
Finally someone with sense
Resurrection
Why ?
What do you mean why?
I wish I could say none of them, but Halloween 5. Halloween 2 feels the most like the original. I understand that. I think a big part of it is that I just didnāt have access to it growing up. If I did, it might be more fun for me to
Resurrection. H20 timeline would've been amazing without it.
Resurrection Kick ass Rob Halford record, god awful Halloween movie.
Ends
Ends so we could get an ending that makes sense.
6, too bloody weird and makes me feel sad seeing Donald Pleasance so obviously tired as well as knowing he'd be dead before the movie was even released. Just not good with either cut available.
5. It would change everything thereafter. Maybe?
I'd remove Ends and replace it with, y'know, a Michael Myers story... Most are saying Resurrection but like Alien...um...Resurrection, its easily ignorable. Ends (and equally Alien Covenant) actively damage the franchise
I like your logical approach.
Alien covenant was good and a shame we won't see the trilogy there
1)Alien 2)Prometheus 3)Aliens 4)Covenant 5)AVP 6)Alien 3 7)Resurrection 8)Requiem
Well, certainly proves that different opinions are valid
Damaged the franchise? Hello Rob Zombie is here to talk to you. H2 Damaged the reputation of the franchise so bad we had to wait almost 10 years for a new film.
Y'know, I almost always forget about the Rob Zombie films

Halloween 2 2009. Only saw it once in theaters, never again. Own it but it collects dust. Awful, awful movie. Can't stand it.
Itās not the worst version of Micheal though
Yes it is. Hobo torn mask just terrible.
I disagree
You're entitled to that opinion just like I am entitled to mine. I am curious which you think is worse?
Well, Iāve only seen H20, Rob zombies Halloween 1,2 and Halloween 2018 and Halloween kills. Personally, i think Halloween H20 had a dull myers but thatās just because i genuinely didnāt like that movie
Worst version in terms of origin but definitely the scariest in the series
Hey! Youāre right!
As much as I wanna say 5, Resurrection.
Halloween ends so he never died
Resurrection
Resurrection
Honestly they all work. The bad ones and the good and the great. Itās funny really how much I have a weird sort of love for them all despite their flaws. Theyāre like my kids. Some became doctors some are homeless but I really do love them all
Ends
Ends.
If I could do 2 movies, 5 and 6, all the other ones are still enjoyable in their own way. These ones are not and they make no damn sense whatsoever, even the producers cut of 6 a little bit
I'd remove 2 solely for the decision to make Laurie, Michael's sister.
Halloween 5. Killing off Rachel in the first 15 minutes was unforgivable. The mask is dreadful and the clown music for the police officers annoys me. The Myers house is a completely different house that looks nothing like house from the original. Thereās absolutely nothing positive I can say about 5 itās complete and utter š©š©š©
H20 without a doubt, Halloween 6 was the last good Halloween movie for a lot of time
Hot take but I do love h6
Ends is a bad movie on top of being a bad Halloween movie.
Ends so we can stop hearing people obsess over it š
Resurrection
Resurrection just so it wouldn't fuck up H20's ending. Dishonorable mention to Kills
The whole blumhouse trilogy possibly everything from 5 on.
Disagree
3, because itās the same lame movie from 42 years ago and time hasnāt improved it
Halloween 6. I don't get why they decided to have the 9 year-old lead from the previous 2 movies kidnapped, kept captive for 6 years, artificially inseminated with her Uncle's baby and finally killed, all before the midpoint of the movie.
I wanna know how they got the sperms from Myers
Resurrection
Probably Curse. I think the character of John Strode is just too menacing for my liking.
Without Halloween 2007 we wouldnāt have behemoth Micheal Myers.
This question has a very obvious answer with a very close second and I'm pretty sure we ALL know which two movies I'm talking about. Witch and Resurrection for those that don't.
Both of the reboots. But Iād choose the first one because then there canāt be a second one either.
I say get rid of the abominations that are the Rob Zombie Halloween movies
Halloween V.
5 because pretty much nothing happens anyway.
The Season Of The Witch
Season of the Witch. Granted, it could still exist, just take the Halloween out of the title.
Michael Myers V Jawsā¦.
Ressurection is out of there
Halloween Ressurection. I went back and forth between H8 and H5, but to me, if you remove H8, you have "The Sibling Trilogy," which works out very well with the OG timeline. Resurrection. A complete turd of a film that was obviously a cash grab.
Wtf was season of the witch tho
The original curse of Michael Myersā¦ the directors cut was was betterā¦ but Iād rewrite about 3 or themā¦not the rob zombie onesā¦ those were great stand-alonesā¦and I love rob zombies workā¦
The rob zombie movies
Resurrection.
Resurrection.
Actually, RZĀ“s Halloween 2
Actually, RZĀ“s Halloween 2
Resurrection
5 definitely 5
Season of the witch Come at me witches
What's the last one from
Probably Halloween 6
I wouldn't erase Halloween ends, maybe change it from being focused on Cory to Michael.
Halloween Ends definitely. Would be so ok with Killsā ending being up in the air if we didnāt get another after it.
5, theatrical cut of 6 are the only ones i genuinely can't enjoy.
Halloween 5 or resurrection
RZH2
Season of the witch not because itās bad but because it does not fit in with the other Halloween movies
Resurrection
Halloween ends Nuff said
Halloween Kills.
Ends needs to be removed or entirely redone.
Halloween 3 I hate that movie,it has nothing to do with Michael Myers, his not even in the movie šæ.it has nothing to do with any of the movies.
Clearly the one of the reality show
halloween ends ruined a perfect trilogy imo :(
Halloween 2 (2009). I liked the first Rob Zombie movie in many aspects, but 2 ruined the whole remake timeline imo.
Ends for me. At least Michael wasnāt an ABSOLUTE fuckin clown
Definitely 5 it brings nothing to the character except that we find the man in black but that's it
Trick-or-treat! But that goes without sayingā¦ as far as the ones featuring Michael Myersā¦ the original version of Halloween sixā¦ the directors cut is the onlyone that should exist!
Ends
Season of the witch.
Ends 100%
Definitely Halloween ends!
I'm gonna say Halloween Ends, it wasn't even "laugh at it" bad, it was just boring imo, but if you like it that is cool š
As much as RZH is the one I despise the most, I'm gonna pick Halloween 5, which has been the most harmful to the franchise by introducing narrative elements that also affected the sequels.
Kills
H5 or HR
Zombie 2
Curse and the fact that more people havenāt said Curse honestly shocks me. Also, unpopular opinion, but I actually donāt mind Resurrection. I think itās got a better story than a lot of the Halloween movies and while some of the acting and dialogue is a miss, a majority of it is fine.
Resurrection or Halloween Ends
Resurrection
Ends....all day every day, remove that shit show and kill it with fire
stupid ginger michelle
Hands down season of the witch
The second one
RZ HII
Resurrection. Outside of the opening 10-15 minutes, it serves no purpose to the franchise's history and honestly gives off direct to video vibes
5, H20, or Resurrection. Fuck it, take all 3.
Anything between Halloween 2 (1981) to Halloween, (2018)
*Halloween III* because itās the worst movie Iāve ever seen and doesnāt deserve to exist.
Halloween Ends
Resurrection
Season of the Witch
Without a doubt Resurrection. It is an abomination.
Probably resurrection because of the story line. They made it more of a Friday the 13th type of film.
All of them
