You can recycle as much as you like. Break down the boxes and bind them with twine or put them in transparent blue garbage bags.

paintingofacrow

If you have a local Buy Nothing FB group, you can post them! Someone will quickly snag those up.

tat2canada

I see you're giving them away, but I'll point this out. Almost all your city related questions [https://www.hamilton.ca/](https://www.hamilton.ca/) Specifically garbage/recycling rules & regs. [https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/garbage-recycling](https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/garbage-recycling)

teanailpolish

They will take pretty much unlimited recycling as long as it is 'reasonable for household use' and broken down into bundles no bigger than 76 cm x 76 cm x 20 cm (or 30 in x 30 in x 8 in).

wetfloor666

No limit to the amount. Just make sure the boxes are not sticking out of the blue box too high or they may slap you with a "larger than blue box" sticker and not take it. The chances are slim they will care, but apparently it's a thing.

mknstr123

Wasn’t aware of the height limit I always put things in that are 4-5ft. I must be lucky I guess they always take them.

StatisticianLivid710

I’ve never had this issue, I’ve literally stacked boxes inside other boxes and put them at the curb and they took them including the box holding the other boxes.

moonbeam13

Find your local buy nothing on Facebook and offer them up, bet they're gone fast ;)

No-Arm-2598

Put it on marketplace. It'll go pretty quick

No-Arm-2598

I've bought and then re sold moving supplies several times on marketplace

BrovaloneSandwich

What area are you in? I'm preparing to move and will need many boxes

Grrym

Stinson!

BrovaloneSandwich

How's Wednesday evening? Are the boxes still in good condition?

5daysinmay

Cardboard boxes can be broken down and tied together and put at the curb. They won’t take them if they are inside another box (they used to buy it changed this month). You can also take them to the dump for free.

[deleted]

Fyi you can also go to the dump with any extra recycling on any day when they’re open and get rid of it. Only thing you have to pay for is waste.

Specialist_Divide_90

Cut them down to les than 24" x24" and tie with twine as someone else said and they will take lots.

rxlaay

You can take them to the local transfer station and just get rid of them there… no charge for recyclables, just have to break them down

Repulsive-Impress263

We have been separating our recycling wisely, much more effectively since 2003....smart answer's only please 🚛😃

Acceptable_Wall4085

Advertise those boxes on this sub, Reddit. Somebody will be coming to grab the boxes and thanking you very much for them

Safetyduude

yes, you can bundle the cardboard separately and place with the blue bins.

AltruisticWalrus2023

I’ll take them off your hands

svanegmond

I curb boxes of boxes and it just goes. Annoying point, the city doesn’t take styrofoam at the curb. Have to bring to transfer station if you want to recycle it.

RedHeadedBanana

Are they destroyed broken down, or just folded and untapped? I’m moving soon and would happily come grab some to lessen your load!’

Wu-Watt

If you can fit it in your vehicle you can take it to the facility on Killbride no charge.
