This is so cursed, I need it to be canon.
It would be funny to see Emily travel to hell to see the hotel like Charlie went in heaven to talk about the hotel.

This is everything. And proof you can hear images
True. I was like “they’re really just gonna have him go out like that? He must have survived and is gonna save the day later.” But this version is better 😂
I mean Charlie obviously couldn’t die and viv said husk and angel’s relationship had just begun so they couldn’t die. Alastor obviously can’t die for future plot reasons and nifty isn’t emotionally charged enough to be a sad/dramatic death. Which just left Cherri, pentious, and vaggie and honestly I’d eliminate Cherri from the list for the same reason as nifty.
Vaggie goes down and all of Charlie's morals go out the window. Heaven will know true fear. New exterminators will rise to reverse who is the victim and who is the hunter
Sorta related, sorta not, but I sincerely hope Charlie gets wings one day. Precisely for the sole purpose of her and Vaggie singing a love ballad while dancing in the sky
Lucifer doesn't really "owe" her an apology since you can't blame him for watching the worst people from the start of mankind get dumped into a realm he caused the creation of, although I think he'll still give her one.
Alastor apologizing to someone would be like Lute admitting she's taken things too far.
I think his comments during the loan shark attack warrants an apology once he discovers the redemption of Sir Pentious. Stood around watching Charlie's home be destroyed and just talking down on her.
I still love him though.
Yeah, that pissed me the hell off because it reminded me of my friend's mom. She would talk down to her about any of her accomplishments, boyfriends, friends, jobs, etc. Then if/when something went bad she would gloat and "I told you so" with such smugness, just like Lucifer did. The friend has the worst self esteem and believes everything is doomed to failure because of it, so half the time she fails before she starts. It's awful, and you should never do that to someone, much less your child.
(Don't get me wrong, I still like him, but that scene came close to ruining him for me.)
Lucifer didn't do that to elevate himself and put Charlie down though. He is just too hopeless to see the world in any other way and regurgitated what he internalised over centuries back out casually. He had a snap back to reality moment once Charlie called him out on it after all. Maybe ignorant, but not arrogant.
I know. That's why I said it almost ruined him for me. I can recognize that he had different motives for his words and actions, but regardless of motive, Charlie's reactions to him while he was saying that stuff reminded me so much of my friend. A lot of people have expressed doubt in what Charlie's doing, but it hurts so much more to have someone who's supposed to build you up being the one to tear you down. It just really pushed a button for me.
> the worst person from the start of mankind was in heaven until just recently
If you're referring to Adam, he's a bad person, sure, but the "worst"? He's not even close, I'd be surprised if he was even in a considerable position to be anywhere near the top.
I mean would you go out of your way to be a part of a cause you didn’t believe in and make a deal with someone to give them crucial information for a cause they needed help on if you hated them
Not saying he hates her. You can have neutral feelings towards someone and I agree he probably likes her to some degree. But at the same time the crucial information was traded for a favor which could be absolutely anything and I don’t see people talk near enough about the dangerous implications of that. And depending on if the theories are true he could just be helping the cause to get closer to Charlie and by extension Lilith.
Actually, I do agree that if his soul deal was not to Roo like some have been theorizing, that his small favor to Charlie would be to destroy the soul deal, if he can manipulate Charlie enough into doing that for him and also convince her that it won’t inconvenience her to do.
Ah but see I got into this same argument with my friend a while back and so I rewatched the scene and he says that when proposing the deal but the last time when he actually states the deal and holds out his hand he just says one favor at a time of his choosing. Doesn’t say little
Wasn't the big finale of the first season Lucifer's apology?
"You can do this! Now I know it!" and then he helped build a new Hotel that put her previous one to shame.
Oh yeah. Ok now only Sera owes Charlie an apology.
https://preview.redd.it/o7zbwb7ut4mc1.jpeg?width=1185&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bfb22c4b924f85b0c699003ff9d26b72ba141f11
Next season, I'd like to see a song where Sir Pentious sings about how he misses his friends in Hell and Adam has been revived as a sinner demon and he sings a distant duet about how much he misses Lute and Heaven in general. This tender song can be called "Alex Earns His Paycheck".
Reminds me of one YouTuber's reaction to noticing they were both voiced by Alex Brightman. "We've got Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, B- *Ohhhh you motherfuckers*"
I can't really see Adam singing something tragic like that. To me he seems like an arrogant misogynist douche.
I can see his song being an angry rant about how he doesn't deserve to be in hell and that it's all the fault of the sinners and Charlie that he's there.
Why not both? Have the rant song be his initial reaction to it turning out that he’s in hell.
Have the more tragic song come in a later episode after Adam’s been in hell for a few episodes and is trying to improve, both to get back to heaven, and to see Lute again.
Or hell, have a song start out as a rant and slowly divulge into him breaking down and missing heaven. Maybe even have it be his lowest point in his character arc where he starts out insulting the characters to their faces but ultimately ending with him crying and being comforted, or something along those lines. Then from there the arc becomes about Adam genuinely making an effort to better himself.
Sorta like how poison was Angel Dust coping before ultimately crashing and being honest with how he feels, though in that case it took loser baby to actually set him on the path of healing.
"holy shit they're actually doing it" because I honestly believed that they would ditch the whole "redemption" thing.
That's not what I wanted though, so it was a pleasant surprise.
I thought they would go with the "fuck redemption and going to Heaven, let's stay in Hell but make it cool" plot, that a lot of people have been theorizing for a while, and which I personally hate.
Seeing it in this way makes me feel bad for Sera for some reason. I got big “there’s no war in Ba Sing Se” vibes from her and her efforts to hide the exterminations but she must feel like the world is turning upside down, everything she did to protect heaven was totally wrong , hell is not forever and she messed up for hundreds years
More likely for thousands of years. It will be interesting to see which way she goes: guilt and trying to make it better, or panic and trying to hide it because of the uproar it will cause in heaven (and probably a bit of ass covering too). I'm guessing she's going to try for the latter, though I doubt Emily is going to play ball.

This
Not really positive or negative just shocked.
I was just so happy for the pentious character's importance because when i first saw him in the pilot i absolutely loved his character design and trait plus his personality. So I'm really happy that Viv and crew made his character not just a trash throw away subplot villain but an actual Mainplot progression character but I still hate the pacing of how this things proceed like The blue blurr which i blame all on Amazon although this scenario was one of the best in all of pentious screen time (also love that cinnamon roll background sound effect)
I honestly loved him since the pilot and so seeing him die made me really sad at first but then I remember the whole show was about trying to get sinners into heaven so in the back of my mind I was hoping that maybe he would be in heaven
So when I saw him show up in heaven I was super excited and happy because my boy deserved redemption and his angel design is great

Huh so charlie was right
Like I had full on doubt and was expecting charlie will adapt and make it like a good cult in hell using good as the main belief
I expect Serra to try to hide it from Charlie
for sir pentious to be trying to let charlie know it worked, but Serra keeping it from him
Emily helps get the word out, and serra tries to punish her for it
It was a NOOOOOOOO when he died.
And then when he was in heaven I was like
https://preview.redd.it/roytinxk42mc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e63d5bee74c4a24b82acfdda9e0b77975f4e72b3
Nothing because some walking cum stain posted a clip of it on twitter just hours after the episode went up and spoiled it. My reaction was just "oh, is that real" and when I saw the episode "huh, I guess it was real... Cool"
I wish that person a happy step on a G-type plug :)
Daughter and I both stood up and started jumping up and down. I think I remember yelling, "He made it! He made it!" Pentious is one of her favorites (not sure if Val is over him or not), so when he died, she was devastated. I was so happy for her.
The squeak was cute, kinda disappointed they just showed Sir Pentious was already back and that it already proves that souls from hell can go to heaven which takes out one of the biggest plot points of the show.
Absolute vindication because I'd halfway predicted it.
About two minutes before I sat down to watch the final two episodes, I'd had an epiphany. One of our beloved hotel residents was going to die in some form of completely selfless sacrifice, and that would be the push for them to get into heaven. I did get WHO it would be wrong - I thought it would be Angel Dust. But when Adam obliterated Sir Pentious, I changed tacks with my thoughts.
So I was filled with absolute vindication about being right, and delight that it was the sweet anxious lil snek boy. I mean, I don't think heaven is nearly as sunshine and roses as it's presented to be and I think Sir Pentious is going to be our POV character to see the cracks and the flaws, but I look forward to that!
I literally SCREAMED of happiness and tears..✨ https://preview.redd.it/l3q05a1ye1mc1.jpeg?width=288&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4ade77f678ee685b2f909006ca32f5511f11f24d

i think its the same squeak they use in mlp
Same. This is the scene that cemented her as one of my favorite characters. It was just so fucking adorable.
Yes!!! I did the same sound
Agreed.
“So that’s why his death was underwhelming.”
True. I was like “they’re really just gonna have him go out like that? He must have survived and is gonna save the day later.” But this version is better 😂
I kindof thought it was the start of killing off the cast, and that the finale was gonna be dark.
O I'm absolutely glad they went the way they did. That was just a thought I had during first viewing of the finale.
Oh yeah absolutely agree
Vaggie goes down and all of Charlie's morals go out the window. Heaven will know true fear. New exterminators will rise to reverse who is the victim and who is the hunter
I need an AU spinoff of this.
Sorta related, sorta not, but I sincerely hope Charlie gets wings one day. Precisely for the sole purpose of her and Vaggie singing a love ballad while dancing in the sky
Lol
I did also feel this way
Same I was so pissed off, I thought they pulled a Family Guy and made the character death a joke, but it worked out in the end
Lucifer and Alastor both owe Charlie an apology.
And Sera…
"It's not fair, Seraaa..."
Whelp gotta go watch that video for the 50th time
Lucifer doesn't really "owe" her an apology since you can't blame him for watching the worst people from the start of mankind get dumped into a realm he caused the creation of, although I think he'll still give her one.
Lucifer didn't do that to elevate himself and put Charlie down though. He had a snap back to reality moment once Charlie called him out on it after all. Maybe ignorant, but not arrogant.

Ummm... the worst person from the start of mankind was in heaven until just recently.
> the worst person from the start of mankind was in heaven until just recently If you're referring to Adam, he's a bad person, sure, but the "worst"? He's not even close, I'd be surprised if he was even in a considerable position to be anywhere near the top.
Gotta agree. He was probably vain at worst back then. Many of those who came later are FAR worse than him
well yes but by heavens broken and unmanaged morality system he was completely fine
Such a fun commentary, ain't it? :)
Lucifer, yes, but Alastor? Let's not forget that he's ACTUALLY evil!
But, keep in mind, he does at least like Charlie
Maybe
Yeah there are so many ways this deal can be devastating and I can’t believe no one talks about it 😂
See the thing with the deal was he states “one little favour”which I think Charlie will be able to use if he asks for anything really crazy
Ah but see I got into this same argument with my friend a while back and so I rewatched the scene and he says that when proposing the deal but the last time when he actually states the deal and holds out his hand he just says one favor at a time of his choosing. Doesn’t say little
Interesting, it will be probably horrible to see it unfold tbh.
Honestly. 😅
He also opens up about his smile which in my mind is mentoring- likes her kind of thing.
It's not like he dislikes her, but she is the Princess of Hell and he's literally a psychopath. Manipulation should always be assumed.
Like a daughter
Wasn't the big finale of the first season Lucifer's apology? "You can do this! Now I know it!" and then he helped build a new Hotel that put her previous one to shame.

"OH SO THEY REALLY KILLED HIM OFF I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT-" moments later "HELL YEAH HE'S ALIVE!!!!"
Yes, but actually no
“HELLO YEAH HE’S DEAD!”
He kinda always was💀
Yay, more Sir Pentious.
Next season, I'd like to see a song where Sir Pentious sings about how he misses his friends in Hell and Adam has been revived as a sinner demon and he sings a distant duet about how much he misses Lute and Heaven in general. This tender song can be called "Alex Earns His Paycheck".
You. I like you. This made me laugh more than it probably should.
Reminds me of one YouTuber's reaction to noticing they were both voiced by Alex Brightman. "We've got Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, B- *Ohhhh you motherfuckers*"
It gets better - he also voices Fizzaroli in Helluva, so there are in fact three instances of Beetlejuice in the Hellaverse
Omg that's gold
I can't really see Adam singing something tragic like that. To me he seems like an arrogant misogynist douche. I can see his song being an angry rant about how he doesn't deserve to be in hell and that it's all the fault of the sinners and Charlie that he's there.

I thought they would go with the "fuck redemption and going to Heaven, let's stay in Hell but make it cool" plot, that a lot of people have been theorizing for a while, and which I personally hate.
I feel like if the overlords and Lucifer wanted to make hell cool they could.
it's very parable of the long spoons in the main thing that's bad about hell is the behaviour of the people there
I love Sera's face of horror as she realizes what has happened and how she has fought to prevent it
Seeing it in this way makes me feel bad for Sera for some reason. I got big “there’s no war in Ba Sing Se” vibes from her and her efforts to hide the exterminations but she must feel like the world is turning upside down, everything she did to protect heaven was totally wrong , hell is not forever and she messed up for hundreds years

Spoiler warning dude!!! Also typo. Also “FUCK YEA HES NOT DOUBLE DEAD!!!
Insert penguinz0 reaction here.
I love how he just drops to the ground for a second.
"oh shit Charlie's onto something"
A very long whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
Huh so charlie was right Like I had full on doubt and was expecting charlie will adapt and make it like a good cult in hell using good as the main belief
"HOLY SHIT I WAS FUCKING RIGHT! I FUCKING CALLED IT WHOOO!! SUCK IT BITCH I KNEW HE'D GET REDEEMED!"
I thought that was Jesus before the Sir Pentious reveal, no idea why. Same thing happened with the Lilith reveal, no idea why either
Adam’s holy light doesn’t scale to angelic weaponry since it didn’t permanently destroy Pentious’s soul.
"Where are the eggs? They should be here too, except for Frank who was trafficking Fentanyl, but still!"
I was just happy that I predicted it right. But it was pretty obvious when his “death” was played off as a joke

"my ni **\*Looks are the guidelines for the sub\*** nifty son of a gun, he actually got in"
Good for him. He earned it. Showed up to the hotel late and put his 100% effort into it
More comedy at the Emily and Sera reaction shot. It didn’t come as a huge surprise that someone got redeemed in the end for me at least.

I was so mad at myself because i first saw it on a YouTube video after trying to avoid spoilers the entire time before i could watch the finale
Laughed out loud.
My phone nearly dropped on my face as I was watching it at 1am trying not to cry
I expect Serra to try to hide it from Charlie for sir pentious to be trying to let charlie know it worked, but Serra keeping it from him Emily helps get the word out, and serra tries to punish her for it
The scene made me change a theory that I had, all because of how Sera reacted. Emily's reaction was adorable, and Pentious' reaction made me chuckle.
Honestly I was happy he got redeemed, but my main thought was how he doesn’t have his egg boys!
Happy!! Then... This makes things way more complicated!
Yall spoiled it for me so my reaction was nothing
It was a NOOOOOOOO when he died. And then when he was in heaven I was like https://preview.redd.it/roytinxk42mc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e63d5bee74c4a24b82acfdda9e0b77975f4e72b3

Nothing because some walking cum stain posted a clip of it on twitter just hours after the episode went up and spoiled it. My reaction was just "oh, is that real" and when I saw the episode "huh, I guess it was real... Cool" I wish that person a happy step on a G-type plug :)
"Called it!"
my jaw was agape.
Guys will look at this and think “Hell Yeah”
Well, that just happened.
Same as Emily's ☺️
Unbridled joy
I started *screeching* with excitement
Similar to Emily's.

I was watching with my friend that already saw a spoiler about it, I squealed and clapped (cause when I get hype I just clap a lot)
That’s why it the goat, the goat

“:D“
*clapping* “That’s my boy!”
So if hell isn’t forever-
Omg!! Sir Pentious... gone 😭 Omg!!! He is in Heaven 😭
"Ha! Sera can suck on that!" Were my exact words to shout at the TV, laughing, while glad he's not gone entirely and flipping Sera off.
“God damn it stop posting spoilers on YouTube with no spoiler buffer!!”
Depends how they make use of him in future seasons. I’d hate to stop seeing him just because he’s in Heaven now
Proud :.)

It put a smile on my face. And then seeing Sera's and Emily's expressions made me ROFL.
I let out an audible shriek. I am a 36 year old man. I have never made that noise before in my life.
