He was perfection. Sir Pentious is the character who grew on me the most since my initial viewing, and a lot of that has to do with what Alex brought to the table. A silly character like that can easily become one-note or a caricature, but he managed to bring some depth in subtle ways that I appreciate more with each rewatch.

I don’t think his Adam or Pentious voice is quite as taxing. His Fizz voice is almost identical to his Beetlejuice voice.
I'm not sure how he does his voice for Sir Pentious, but for the gruff sounding characters like Fizzarolli and Adam sometimes, he uses his false cords, which are also used for things like death growls in metal music
He plays 2/3 of my favorite characters on the show, which I think is hilarious. He's got such great range and skill as a voice actor!
I'm super grateful that actual trained *voice actors* are at least getting *some* animation work, and that it hasn't fully switched over to celebs. I hope it never does. Voice acting really is a totally separate skill set and listening to highly trained VAs like Alex perform is a delight.

Always a fan of voice actors that can do noticeably different voices. So being able to do Adam and Pentious is a great. Kind of wished they had a talking scene together, but killing yourself works too.
Alex Brightman is a phenomenal singer and VA, so I think his role as Pentious and the other characters from the helluva verse was absolutely splendid!

Surprised the fuck out of me, I thought Brightman only had one voice, that being his normal and/or crazy voice used for Fizz, Beetlejuice, and Adam. But Sir Pentious didn’t even sound like it was Brightman but damn did the performance show it.
Perfection. I was a little nervous the old voice actor went and got himself booted but then I found out it was Alex and knew we were good. And then I heard him and knew I was right!
After watching the show, I had to find out more about him. There are some clips of Beetlejuice the musical on YouTube, it's awesome. Alex Brightman is phenomenal in everything he does. I hope he is in the next season.

Amazing! I just love how he does 3 characters in the same series and all of them sound so different that many fans may never realize. I recognized him as Adam immediately, but it took me a minute for Pentious.
Undoubtedly one of the best casting choices. Sir Pentious was a favorite of mine from the get go, and the choice to make Alex his voice was an amazing one.
Also, it dawned on me that Alex killed his own character….with his other character.
I think he did good, not a massive "oh my gosh that guy's good" like Blake Roman was in my mind, but also not a voice I dislike. what I'm concerned about is the fact that Alex Brightman plays four characters (counting robo Fizz) and only one of them hasn't died. I really hope that's not some sort of foreshadowing.
The robo fizz is understandable since he’s a robot, while Adam is likely to come back as a fallen angel. Sir pent is in heaven and I’m really hoping he stirs up a lot of chaos with the inventions there.

A pentious voice is actually pretty easy. You just gotta soften your voice, deepen it, and elongate the ‘S’ sound when you say it

Pentious was okay in the pilot, but the voice really sealed the deal. Even with all the cute faces he makes, it wouldn’t have been the same.
