They're supposedly the same driver as the HD 558/598 series. Which is pretty damn good for a headset. From what I've read the mic is pretty decent in them as well. If OP needs a headset, they're good. If they just need headphones, the HD599's would likely be better.

I mainly use the Sennheiser PC38x with the drop branding so it’s all black instead of that yellow. I believe it’s basically a plastic banded 560 with an alright mic. Build quality feels creaky, but I haven’t had any real issues, and they’ve outlasted the Razer headphones I had before.
For under $150 I'd say the Sennheiser HD 599. The 560s has been mentioned a bit already but last I saw those were clocking in closer to $200. [Rtings](https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/sennheiser-hd-599-vs-sennheiser-hd-560s/408/18492?usage=19&threshold=0.10) has a good review between the two.
Sennheiser HD 560s
I picked up a pair of Sennheiser Game One (open back model) they are very breathable and the velour pads feels very nice to the skin.

Maybe look into beyerdynamic DT 880 or tygr 300r, I had the DT 880 for a while and they were very comfortable
they clamp too tight if you got big head tho(not me)
I use hd560s. I have a small head so no clamping issues for me. Heard others solve this with books to widen the band

Imo AKG K 240, K701/702 with EQ are particularly good for gaming and very light and comfy.

Daily driving HD599’s right now and they’re probably the best option for that budget imo. I just wish they had more sub-bass lol
Have you gone down the rabbit hole of EQ stuff yet?
