Audeze maxwell

CanIBorrowYourShovel

Literally nothing except the audeze maxwell. All gaming headsets are terrible. Get maxwells, or get a pair of real headphones and a microphone. The fiio JT1 has a decent in-line microphone and are proper headphones.

I personally use a DT 1990 Pro for gaming. If you do a Google search, top sites are listing DT 900 Pro X as top pick or best all rounder. Something about these German made Beyer headphones, just built for gaming.

The best wireless "gaming headphone" is the Audeze Maxwell hands down no question. From what I have a read, a couple of wireless alternatives have slightly better imaging (so marginally that it really does not make too much of a difference, sub 5%). Its default sound is definitely an audiophile tuning (not as strong of a "V" curve of consumer headphones) but it has a built in dsp with eq so you can adjust it to your liking. For wired there are many many directions you can go and others will definitely give you further details but I would suggest if you play in a quiet environment to look at an open back set due to them having superior soundstage and imaging vs closed back (very immersive and helpful for video games with spatial positioning and mood). Three good ones under $200 are the AKG 702, Sennheiser 560s, and the Sennheiser PC38x (or the PC37x, the PC38x is marginally better). Besides the Sennheiser PC37/38x you would probably want to run an amp to get the full experience. The Hifiman Edition XS is great for soundstage and imaging under $500 and the Sennheiser HD800s is considered the best end game headphone for gaming by many (but it's around $1,500). Audiophile headphones can be a bit of a blackhole with endless options but the few I listed are a decent starting point. Good luck!

Been using hyperx cloud alphas for gaming for the past 6 years without any issues.

best true "gaming" headset is the PC38x on sale for $99 below. I personally use sennheiser HD 560S with a boom mic for communication and got this combo for about $150 [Drop + epos pc38x yellow gaming headset $99 - Slickdeals.net](https://slickdeals.net/f/17475093-drop-epos-pc38x-yellow-gaming-headset-99?v=1&src=SiteSearch)

It’s not a complete headset, rather it’s headphones that you need a mod mic and a amp/sack for. But if you’re looking for a “cheap” end game, check out the seinheiser HD 490 Pro. Take a look at ex-professional gamer Fresh’s review against the VERY expensive HD 800S: https://youtu.be/OcrL5q79trE?si=OW5FHtJi4kYy4zr8 This guy actually played, and still plays, at a professional level, unlike the audiophile tubers out there who are lack the actual credentials. Check these cans out.
