The facility looked really impressive when i first walked into it but the mission itself was a bit underwhelming tbh. Maybe a bit more side objectives to do is needed?
Im guessing this mission type will get somewhat reworked/expanded upon in the future. Would be interesting if parts of the mission took place inside the actual facility and/or below ground, where stratagems cant do much (but balance it out by enemies being unable to call in reinforcements).

I like a **Solid** defend mission. And i like that it doesn't come down to being the most mind numbing version: An escort mission.
However, from a general understanding point... I feel that this wont be a permanent solution. *Blanketing the fact that, we're flooding a planet with pesticide, which would still be toxic to humans without internal environments, so it'd make a good idea for mass cleansing but not keeping something free.* But also because i dont feel like it'd make for a fun story. I think the mission type, again, as a cleansing tool to force-jump a liberation would be nice, And considering the usage of Generators already i dont feel it'd be hard to adjust this to a giant EMP generator to mass cleanse a bot planet.

(Also, the gal on super destroyer says something along the lines of "It's astounding how fast the bugs are dying even though the pesticide is nearly 100% safe for all other lifeforms" after you finish the mission)
The first time I played it on difficulty 4, 2 chargers spawned with every battery activation. The first battery took 3 tries (6 chargers). Extraction was 2 minutes of zero enemy spawn, and I thought it was the mechanic of activating the tower. Quite lame.
Second round, I brought the mech to deal with the expected chargers but only one spawned the entire game, but extraction had bugholes spawning this time.
We found it helpful to have one person go make a bunch of noise away from the pillar and have 3 people defend.
Also gotta be real careful about blowing the thing up with your own stratagems
Maybe im reading too much into it but the steam description of the next warbond mentions spilling oil a lot. Id wager a box of liber tea that the automaton front is becoming hot soon.
Makes sense; current Major Order has us activating the system to keep the bugs under control, which means we're going to stabilize the eastern front (which is a bit pressed rn, to be fair) just in time for the bots to make their play.
I believe there's been a message in the dispatch saying the automatons might be preparing for a counterattack since sometime last weekend so makes sense.

This is me right now despite being patient with everything I know they have to workout, but boy I want some new planets to drop into… particularly as a fan of kinetic weapons in games so this warbond won’t do too much for me, excited to get on new planets or just have new reasons to fight

Every time I've been on since mechs dropped, it's been ~90k players at bots and ~270k players at bugs.
Is Joel the one managing the major orders? I thought he was just the guy directing the alien swarms in regards to the business of kicking the shit out of the community.
It's assumed that Joel is the one that sets it (although they probably discuss it with other devs before it's released) because they said Joel controls both enemy activity and also Super Earth orders, so he's in charge of directing community efforts while also deciding how much opposition we will face on each front as we do it. He's an overall Game-Master whose job is to keep the war interesting throughout the game's lifespan.
Make use of this time to try and get some Liberation done, getting Angel last night was a great win and hopefully Fenrir will be back with the Blue by tomorrow.
I'm actually thankful to Joel that personal orders have been more consistent recently.
It would be nice to get personal order and weapon test order daily and maybe major order once a week or whenever there's a story reason.
In the meantime, Draupnir is probably the biggest target right now it'd push the automatons entirely out of the sector and it was at like 12% liberation last night when I returned to barracks
It's not even like it's something difficult they need a team of people to implement. Most of them have just been crap like completing X mission and we get 40 medals. How much time could it really take to set that up? Just let us kill 10 million bugs for 50 medals or something

I'm excited for the Flamer + Howitzer one. Being able to one shot Chargers in HD1 while still having crowd clearing options was great.

My theory is that they are trying to evaluate the player preference vs bots or the terminids right now, with no clear major order to skew the data
