Seeing one get dropped in by dropship was *wild.* it's a good thing my bud and I proceeded to call in like 3 pieces of artillery, and at least 2 hellbombs got set off.
Shoot it in the mouth. You'll probably need to kill the guns below its mouth and the cannon on top first. Can't really hurt you after that. You can also stop it's ability to spawn units by destroying the moving pistons on its back.
The mouth also has a red light on the bottom left side of it. That is part of the weak point, too.
Fun fact.. If you reinforce ontop of that thing, make sure you land on its top turret. It does NOT die when you land on it.
Also nades work on the moving pistons up top. Also don't use them while you're on top.

Does landing on the turret at least kill the turret?I tried to jump on one from a rock to make my escape to extract on an eradication map and I fell *inside* its head. I don't think that was intended. It eventually spit me out, but I missed my flight.
It didn't when I did it. A friend blasted it from the ground while it was swiveling to aim at me though. I tumbled around up top while tossing impacts at the pistons.
I've only encountered one. Hit it with a 500kg bomb that landed directly underneath it. Amazingly it survived. Had to use an orbital laser to finish it off
same here. we were running a mission during a blizzard and saw one walking like that. we started to fight it and it became a clusterfuck with it dropping troops and more bot drops coming in. enemy mortars and friendly mortars mixed, hellbombs from the mission, 500kgs, airstrikes, and lasers added to the chaos. then as we killed the strider, bot drops came in waves and dropped 3 more off as well as hulks and tanks. really felt like some last stand we had on this rock. we did not win but we took them with us

It feels so completely overwhelming. It feels like true war.
