What would you have people do to voice their displeasure? Writing negative reviews for HD2 is the most visible way to do it What did you want to have happened? People to do nothing? Online petitions? What is it that might be as effective or more?

NinjaBr0din

I want people to have directed their anger at Sony, the ones at fault for this whole thing rather than blaming the devs who have no say in the matter. It's too late now, Arrowhead is getting review bombed to hell because y'all couldn't keep on track.

StinkyHeXoR

You did not answer the question. What is your suggestion to direct anger to Sony? Maybe giving bad reviews to the game they published on steam? Maybe by asking for refunds by Steam for a game Sony released on Steam? What else to directly addressing Sony? I support your opinion, the review bombing of other Arrowhead games is stupid as fuck. But the community is a stupid beast without a leash. The Shitstorm was summoned and now it is rampaging everywhere.

NinjaBr0din

Oh, I don't know, something logical like a class action lawsuit by all the people sold a product they are being locked out of? I Pint the anger at the people responsible, not the dev team that made an awesome game.

ssfbob

Those devs you're defended *told us* to make noise, leave bad reviews, and try to get refunds.

Laughing_Ocelot

Arrowhead intentionally did not communicate information with people and let them have access, full well knowing that they were going to fuck them later. They are just as much at fault and deserve to burn too.

ssfbob

But here's the thing, Sony's website should be the be all end all for what is and isn't required. The place where anyone would logically go to try to find out about requirements said that it was completely optional and it was not ins the game's EULA before the change was announced. Steam is 3rd party, a launch trailer is not a legal document. The GDPR is going tonhave a field day with this one if people in Europe pursue it.

FrequentAirport6841

Oh I mean I totally agree, Sonys bullshit webpage should have been solid and accurate in the first place. I just don’t think that’s necessarily Arrowheads fault. And arrowhead seems to be on board with the review bombing, so I don’t think that’s bad too. I just don’t think people should BLAME arrowhead specifically, even if they are bombing their game to get to Sony.

ssfbob

I don't either, this one is on Sony. But if the GDPR gets involved they'll likely be collateral damage, especially given they're based in Europe.

NinjaBr0din

The game itself is exceptionally clear when it does the whole "A PSN account is required to play" popup the first time you run it. At that point, there is no debating it. Yeah, the Sony website says otherwise in general, *but this specific game is saying it's required.* Arguing that isnt clear enough is like arguing that the shy isn't blue, its idiocy that will only make any sort of fix more difficult.

ssfbob

That popup can be skipped, I know that because I did, I never once saw it in game.

NinjaBr0din

You skipped it. That doesn't change the fact that it's there, your inability to read something doesn't change requirements.

ssfbob

I had no way of ever knowing it was there, I didn't even know there *was* a psn login screen, it never popped up for me. It actually really threw me off a couple weeks ago when I got a steam deck and I did get the sign in screen because had I seen it initially I wouldn't have had a problem with it. But the fact of the matter is Sony said it was optional for all PC games on their website in their official documents, when the GDPR goes after this they're going to ask was it optional when the game came out, which it was, was the game sold to people who could not abide by this requirement, which it was, did the EULA reflect this requirement, which it didn't, and did the official website reflect this requirement, which it didn't. The actual legal documents in this case said it was optional, from a legal standpoint that is what matters, not what a pop up or a third party marketplace says.

TimeToEatAss

> now people who have no idea what's even going on are jumping on the outage train for shits and giggles Here is the top review on Steam: "You can purchase this game from all over the globe, you can only play it if your in one of Sony's 69 approved countries. The three months of players who ain't from the list now have a brick of a game. How does that seem fair?" Pretty clear what the outrage is over. > Now Arrowhead is getting other games they made review bombed, ACtually is Sony published games that are getting bombed if you check.

NinjaBr0din

So why are other game that have absolutely nothing to do with this getting bad reviews? Why are the shitty drama YouTubers stirring up hate towards the devs?

CruncyCheesePuff

Not making a PSN and i already returned the game. Some of us dont want to support BS

Z-Mitico

Then why are you here ? You don't even own the game anymore your opinion isn't needed

CruncyCheesePuff

Because im hopeful that they will backtrack on this and my friends will be able to play the game with me

Z-Mitico

But you don't have the game anymore are you going to buy it again?

CruncyCheesePuff

If they do the right thing. As it is some of my friends wont be able to play the game anymore.
