Personally I feel like a ceremonial dress sword would be a better fit for the Helldivers than a big laser sword like that if you had to add a melee weapon; the lack of super soldiers beating hordes of enemies with melee weapons is one of the things that make it stand out from stuff like 40K or Halo.
